Decent car at a decent price (for the time, cars are just ridiculously expensive right now). The car had some fluids that needed changing that I had to haggle with them to actually change. But good luck getting ahold of them if you need any help. Ernesto (the salesman I worked with) gave me his number but never answered. I had better luck calling the dealership number. Yet it was still a pain to get a hold of them. 2 weeks later our car was having starting issues and I asked Ernesto if their mechanics knew when the battery was put in and stuff like that, I just got one I don't know text and no follow up. They're really not here to retain customers just to sell you one car with problems and never see you again, honestly worse than going with a private seller off of Facebook or KSL.

Bought a 2003 4Runner from here a year ago and specifically had asked about rusting on the frame as it is a common issue with these cars. They had assured me the frame was in good condition and they had recently sprayed rhino coating on the whole under carriage. Which they did. After a year of normal driving I decided to take a pressure washer to the undercarriage and a brush to deep clean the whole car. The second the water hit the frame the rhino coating starting peeling away and after about three hours I discovered that not only is the frame completely rotted and rusted but they had used bits of plastic to cover the holes that were there from the rust. After spraying off most of the coating I have found multiple cracks, holes, and splits on the frame. I was quoted 9,000$ from a shop for a full frame swap which is not covered.Update. To the last response the 4Runner were not covered in the recall. If that was the case this would have not been an issue. That doesn’t change the fact however the frame’s condition was clearly covered up with the spray and plastic to make it appear in “good condition” I will not be bringing it in for a trade value to get offered a minute value for a car that was already sold in a shady way. I won’t touch it at all in the condition the frame is in as it is a major cause for concern for myself.

UPDATE AY THE BOTTOMRecently bought a car here and had a great experience! I originally spoke with Ernesto and he was very informative and not pushy at all. When I returned to buy the car, I spoke with Daniel and he answered all my questions and was very attentive. I really appreciated him as we was very accommodating. I even spoke with Josue and Jonathan over phone/text after buying the car because I had some concerns. They both were highly professional and Jonathan assured me that he could help me resolve the issue. The communication is excellent, and they are an honest dealership which is a rare find these days.UPDATE: I initially bought this car in May of 2022 and posted the review above not a month or two later. It’s now Aug of 2023 and this is my updated experience. I believe versus truly does have some great customer service. However, I believe that their cars are good deals because they outsource labor to people who go are not the most experienced in their industry. E.x.I have seen welds underneath my car that are sub par. The paint that was redone has chipped all over the place on the part that was redone. The original paint seems as though it will last longer than the year old coat that from what I can tell is very thin. My windshield was originally cracked, and they promised to replace it, they did but their guy did it wrong and it messed up my auto lights censor and advanced navigation technology ( Lane keep assist, auto cruise control) after a few weeks and twisting the guys arm he re did the job and my auto lights worked and so did auto cruise but not lane keep assist, which did work when I first bought the car mind you. Additionally, the A/C has not worked well since the beginning pretty much. ( i didn’t notice at turret because the A/C. Was working on and off) To be fair to them, Daniel was regularly staying in contact with me to resolve the issue. The problem was that I would leave my car with their third party tech for hours at a time that could jot figure anything out. And I simply could not keep going back to that shop for nothing to be resolved. I finally took my car to a local shop this year to have the A/C system looked at. ( A very reputable mechanic mind you, that is one of the most honest I have dealt with. ) it did take him some time, but he did figure out with great research on his end and calling the Honda dealership many times that my car has Black Death . Black Death occurs when the compressor fails in the A/C system and shoots metal shards throughout the entire A/C system basically destroying everything. The bill, roughly 2400 to replace the compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator core. Though I have only paid for about 1300 thus far because I need yo pay tuition soon. So the evaporator core is still not replaced and my A/C still does not work. Which again these problems were happening since the beginning when I bought this car which means that this issue got overlooked. It seems like many people on here may have received a great car from versus and got lucky with their third party workmanship. I will again say that versus has great customer care, but I believe it is because their third party services are not great at what they do or take so long to do it that you get fed up and go pay to do it yourself. Great customer care, but I cannot say that quality work was done at any point on working with them as sad as it is to say.

I had a great experience at ‘Versus Automotive’, I bought my first car with them just a few months ago. The whole experience was so much better then what I was anticipating and none the less better then at other dealerships I had been to before. Special shout-out to Jonah the owner who made the whole process easy while also working with my budget. Definitely worth a visit if your on the hunt for a new vehicle.
