10000 star review for Chad! He was personable, kind & helped us get the best deal for our new car. When deciding what car to purchase, we decided to purchase at VW because we liked working with Chad so much. If you’re not looking for the stereotypical car salesman experience- this is guy you want to go with. You gained clients + referrals for life!

Who wants to drop off their car for 48 hours just for a diagnosis? I schedule an appointment for knee surgery and guess what, they perform the surgery on the scheduled date. Just the service light and and the hands free doesn’t work. There is your diagnosis!!

Salesman Cory Jeff's is the best.
He helped my daughter to buy a uses car and got my daughter a good deal.

This place is great, Cory Jeffs really looked out for me through the whole process! Between recommending other cars when the first I test drove didn’t work out, making sure the car I ended up buying was in the best shape it can be, being patient when things came up, giving advice but not being pushy, it was a very good experience all around!

This is the worst dealership I’ve ever been to! The service is awful and they try and scam you out of all your money as well. I recently went in for an oil change and tire rotation, which they had told me I needed new tires (the tires are only a few months old), plus all these other problems that they “recommended” I needed done with my car. I declined all those services and when I was driving my car home the breaks started making a scraping sound. I scheduled an appointment to go back and they said I needed to pay for a diagnosis appointment already a week away. And then they just called saying they needed to reschedule my service until next week. I can’t go weeks without driving my car. And I don’t want to keep driving my car if something is wrong with it. They’ve been very unworkable and it’s been an overall very unpleasant experience.

This place is consistently shady and unhelpful. However, they are the closest VW dealership so I reluctantly keep giving them chances.
My first bad experience was when they tried to convince me my car needed an alignment for $350 (even told me there were special VW patented tools and only a VW dealership could do the service). I told them no and went to a shop that does alignments who told me I didn’t need one, my car was fine. I only took it there because they had a deal running for oil changes and I spent half the day waiting for that to be done.
The next time, they tried to tell me I needed new brakes (this was 25k miles ago), so I took it to a different shop who said my brakes were fine, they were squeaky from built up brake dust but the pads had a lot of life left on them.
Last time when I took my car there for a recall, they wanted to charge me nearly $100 to replace the engine air filter and another $100 to replace the cabin air filter. They told me they did not look good even though I had replaced them myself about a month before that.
Today, I called to ask about my check engine light coming on. It gave me a code P164E which is for the oil thermal sensor. It’ll be a bit before they can get my car in so I asked if I was okay to drive it until my appt. They said nobody in the shop can answer that for liability reasons. So I called a different mechanic who told me I would be fine as long as my oil levels are normal and my oil pressure light doesn’t come on as well. Needless to say, I am taking it to a different dealership that is further away, I am finished with these guys.

This is the worst dealership I have ever been to. I asked Austin Mahony, my service agent, to have the service people check the tire before I drove it off the lot. Austen Mahony acted like it was too much to ask. All he said he did was fill up my tire. I ended up driving it home and found out it was at 6 PSI. We also noticed that the 12 volt outlet wasn’t working. I told him I wanted him to check it out before I signed anything. He was shoving me off. I stayed silent and he finally agreed to do it. It was easy and took him two seconds. In addition, he told me the warranty he sold me on was $2,000. I confirmed with him again, “So the warranty is $2,000.” He said yes. After signing I realized it was $2,500. $500 for me is a lot of extra money and would affect my decision on whether or not I wanted it. Not only that I have tried and tried and tried to get ahold of the main line secretary and it usually takes me 5 separate tries before anyone answers. Buying a car there is not worth the bad service I got.

I love my car and the and Cory Jeff’s was cool too, they hooked me up with windows tint! And I have no plans on every getting ride of my car, however! They need to learn how to pick up the phone! It’s ridiculous, I’ve had 3 separate occasions where I am unable to get ahold of anyone including Cory. It’s quite frustrating, unfortunately I don’t think I’ll ever buy from This facility again, I do still highly recommend them! As a first time buyer the process was incredible but there where things I never wanted but felt pressured into

This is the 2nd automobile I have bought from Ken Garff, the first was at the SLC Jaguar - Land Rover location; I will not bring any additional business to this company, very poor experience from both locations for multiple reasons.

We purchased a car in June, my temp tag expires in 4 days, DMV told me Ken Garf just processed my plates yesterday. I called Ken Garf today, I was transferred to a voicemail with no name. Left a message and no call back. Changed to 4 star. I got a call back on my plates. Sounds like this is a DMV slow issue.

Our experience at this dealership was really great. Probably one of the easiest and pleasant experience compared to other dealerships we’ve been too. Damon Lynch was our sales guy and he was respectful and easy to talk too and wasn’t pushy. He really worked with us to get us a good deal. Stephan and Adi were really chill and easy to speak too as well. This was a really nice team.

I recently had a frustrating experience at Ken Garff Volkswagen that I feel needs to be shared.
First off, when my wife walked in to check in our car, she was bluntly told “no” without any explanation, and the service advisor just went back to eating his lunch. This was really unprofessional and set a bad tone from the start.
Throughout the service process, communication was a disaster. I had to constantly ask for updates on my car, and the information I received was either confusing or incorrect. At one point, they even thought I had already picked up my car when I hadn’t. How did they not know my car was still in their shop? Did they lose my car for a period of time?
There were also significant delays because they were missing a part, and I wasn’t informed properly about these delays. This forced me to rent a car, which was an unexpected expense and added to my frustration.
Initially, I was quoted $100 for the diagnostic fee, but then it jumped to $170 plus tax, which felt very misleading. The overall cost for parts and labor was also much higher than expected. When I decided not to go ahead with the repair, I would have been charged $202.76 just for the visit, which wasn’t clearly explained to me.
They ended up discounting my entire service by $80….the service alone costed me $800+ not to mention the fact that I had to rent a car while they forgot my car was in the shop. I literally have screenshots of them asking if I had already picked up my car as they did not know it was there.

Do not have these guys work on your car they will break it. Long story but here I go. First time I took my car to them because my front end was shaking, they told me there was nothing wrong and my brakes and rotors looked fine. Shrugged it off and went home. It started getting worse so I took it in on my oil change and told them about the issue again. The guy behind the front desk said he recommended I made a appointment with a lead tech. Also, he said my water pump was leaking so he recommended to fix that too. I said ok sounds good my cars under warranty so why not. So the third time now I drive my car to Orem Volkswagen drop my car off and they keep it for a day to work on it in the morning. The next morning comes and I get a text after work saying my cars done so I get a ride down there now 4 times and I live in Salt Lake. Get my car and I smell a very strong smell of what I thought was antifreeze. I Brush it off thinking that maybe they spilled some during the installation and its just burning off. 1 week later still stinks and now its started to give me a head ache. So I call up the dealership again and they suggest I bring it in so I drive down there the 5th time now. Drop it off for another day so they can look at it the next morning. The next day i get off work and I don't receive any message or calls about my car. So I text the Service advisor I think his name was Dennis he said we can't find no leaks or anything. I said does it still stink he said we cleaned around the engine it should be good. So i go to pick up my car, drive home and it still stinks. So I decide to go to less Schwab's they said they don't know much about antifreeze smells. So i decided to let them check out the shaking in the front end. They told me the rotors where bad so I said ok lets fix it. Now the front end don't shake when I brake, and it drives like a dream. So Ken Graff Volkswagen you didn't want my money? Why didn't they know the rotors where bad? There vw technicians, and they looked at it twice. So I start to think do these guys even know what there doing, and I take my car to local mechanic to check out the smell. And can you believe they find that my main gas engine hose was leaking so I wasn't smelling antifreeze it was gas. Which could of caused a fire while driving. My car was perfect in tell they fixed the water pump. Whats funny when I went to pick my car up the service advisor Dennis told me my car was safe to drive and sometimes it takes a bit for the smell to burn off. How can you miss a huge gas hose leaking right above the water pump?Ill say it again your vw techs all you do is work on volkswagen. I don't know if this was intentional or a mistake. All i know is I will never bring my car to this place again, and i wouldn't trust these guys with nothing. Hey at least I got my dream car from this dealership the car buying experience was very good. Too bad the service department is horrible, and extremely shady. If I had the money and time I would probably sue this horrible service department.

I scheduled an appointment for a recall service, which when I booked online gave me the option to wait at the dealership. Upon arrival, they told me it would need to be left there for 3 or 4 days. I told them I couldnt do that, and that if I had been told that I wouldnt have scheduled the service. I asked them why it allowed me to select "wait at dealership" as an option, which they said they didnt know and that it was out of their control. Now I understand that mistakes happen and things are out of their control, but they acted like I was the idiot who made the mistake. I asked if they could keep me in their service queue and then I could bring my vehicle back in when it was our turn in a few days. They told me no and that my only option was to leave it. This has happened to me twice now at this location and both times they act like they dont care at all. This location's service dept is not living up to the Ken Garff motto or mission statement that it claims to have. I understand there is not always a perfect solution, but if you want to provide a better experience there is always some sort of solution, they just dont want to try.
