The workers at JoAnn are so rude. Just because someone can't speak english well, doesn't make them stupid or that they have to learn any language your way. At least they know more than 1. Peace

This was a nice visit, it is semi-easy to find things, once you know the layout, and the cashier we had was nice.

JoAnn Fabric & Crafts is great. I like ordering online, using a coupon for extra % off and picking up curbside/in store. They have great sales.

I’ve never seen a store that treats their customers so poorly around closing time. I don’t often go to craft stores, but I stopped by with my wife the other night on the way home from dinner. We arrived 20 minutes before closing which was more than enough time to quickly find what she needed, pay for it and leave. We were there for no more than five minutes before more than half of the lights were suddenly turned off. Apparently the employees were very eager to go home and they were hoping that by turning off the lights they could encourage the customers to leave. Now I get that they’re tired after working all day, but when you work in retail the shift never ends exactly at closing time. There are always customers that need to finish checking out after the store closes, and I’ve never seen a store behave so hostile towards their customers as JOANN.I could maybe sympathize with turning off the lights AFTER closing time, but 15 minutes early?!?!?! They had turned off so many lights that we had to get out our phones and use the flashlight to see what was on the shelves! My wife found what she needed, but at that point I was so annoyed that I decided they didn’t deserve our money and we’d just order what she needed from Amazon. As we were driving out of the parking lot, we passed Michaels just a few doors down. At that point it was past their closing time too, but all of the lights at Michaels were still on and there was an employee standing in the door to make sure no one else entered. It was such a stark contrast between the JOANN store that was so dimly lit it looked like you might get mugged inside.Avoid JOANN and shop at Michaels or Hobby Lobby instead.

The girls that helped us did a fantastic job. We had a huge order and they were amazing. They even helped us organize our fabrics to which type of job we were doing. Essentially, they helped correct mistakes that we made before we made them. :)

Worst experience at a craft store I have ever had. The store almost looked like it was closing down. The shelves weren't stocked. I asked two employees where an item was and they simply said they dont know. Didn't help me find it. The older heavy set lady with bleached hair acted as if i was burden for asking her something. I ended up leaving and i will not be going back anytime in the near future .

2 days ago I bought two yards of heavy clear vinyl to repair the window well covers for my house, so snow can't get in. I found I needed another yard so I went back yesterday, driving 20 minutes from Payson to Spanish Fork only to find a note on the door that said they were closed because of some computer problem. Therefore this morning, I called the store and ended up waiting on the phone call for about 15 minutes and ended up talking with someone who sounded like he was in India to call the store to see if they were open, and he said they were. So I drove another time to Spanish Fork and the sign was still on the door, same as yesterday, but I could see employees inside, so I motioned to them and someone came to the other side of the door and informed me they could not let me in and sell me anything. I explained the problem that their employee on the phone told me they were open so I relied on that and drove another 20 minutes,. They said they couldn't accept credit cards, and I said I would pay with cash, they said they couldn't cut the fabric, and I told them that day before yesterday there was a piece of fabric laying on the roll that they cut for someone else who hadn't bought it, and I could just buy this. Anyway I was unable to convince them, there were at least two employees who spoke with me. I don't blame these employees, but I blame management for doing whatever they did or didn't do and especially for the way they've set up their calling the store so they do not give you accurate information. I've always liked Joanne's, but I'll do the best I can from now on not to support this business. When i got home I wrote this review, and saw on another review of JoAnns that the person compared this store with Hobby Lobby. I had not remembered that Hobby Lobby recently opened a store in Spanish Fork, so I called them and my call was immediately answered by a live person, who was there (not in India) who told me the did have the clear vinyl 20 gauge I was looking for, so I drove back to Spanish Fork and bought some vinyl, which cost less than it would have cost at JoAnns. The young lady who cut it for me was very nice. I told her about my sad experience at JoAnns earlier that day and she said she used to work there. She said she thinks they are going under at JoAnns--I can certainly see why. Again, it used to be a good store, but has really gone down hill and I am happy that there is now Hobby Lobby nearby.
