my experience renting a car here was very easy! i booked through AAA the night before, and the next morning i was able to get my rental. dropping off the car was also very easy at the after hours drop box. the only downside was having to wait my turn in line for about 1/2 an hour- there was only one employee helping at the front desk, but she was super nice, and was doing a good job at getting everyone helped as fast as she could!

No one was there when we went to get our car. The number on the desk to call if someone is out went to the phone in the room we were in, so there was no way to contact a person. Had to wait 15 minutes for someone to show up. Ordered a mid-size SUV and was given a Honda HR-V, which is a small SUV. I told the girl that it was a small SUV and she just said it was a midsize and didn’t offer another car or a different rate. The car had a crack in the windshield and I had to go back inside to confirm the crack, since we were charged $35 for the crack in our last Hertz rental the week before. Another customer was inside struggling with the girl at the desk, who had her manager on the phone. Sounds like his issue was also a windshield crack and they offered no help. He said he would contact the credit card company and contest the charge. He was a business consultant for Uber and said he would pad the memo on that Uber couldn’t do business with Hertz. You shouldn’t do business with them either.

No Cars even though the website said thwy did. Trying to cancel the reservation was a joke. The store should have, yet refused. Was referred to the 800 Number. You have NO CARS and you still couldn't help me find another or cancel the reservation! No thanks! Hertz is OFF the list

We were there at 7:50 before they opened, and didn’t get our car until 8:40. It took WAY too long!! The employee was very sweet and helpful, but they just needed another employee there to help with all the 8 am pick ups!

The worst experience of my life with a car rental company. The employees don´t know the company's policies. We called to make sure we could rent a car since we are under 21, have a debit card, and do not have an international license. The guy we spoke to assured us multiple times that there would be no problem with these details and that we could rent a car. He made the reservation for us over the phone, and we booked non-refundable hotels for our planned destinations with the car.Today, when we arrived to pick up the car, the worker on the counter told us that we couldn't rent it because we are under 25 and we need a credit card, as well as a return flight ticket to confirm that we are goin to return car (the latter was not mentioned by the worker on the phone). We requested compensation for all the money we lost on the non-refundable hotels we won't be able to stay in due to THE COMPANY's fault. Their employees don´t even know the company's policies, and they assured us we could rent the car and we finally couldn´t when we arrived there after having all our trip planned, because of problems that the employee on the phone told as didn´t exist

Watch your bill! They try and sneak on extra charges. And do not let them take the pictures of the damage. Walk through all of it with them. Be extremely thorough, inside and outside of the car. It feels like a waste of time, but it will save you money and the headache.

Terrible customer service. I was not even acknowledged by anyone for 20 minutes. One employee was helping a couple and I was the only other person in the office. There was another employee in the backroom who never came out to say thanks for waiting or anything. I was there for 1 hour before I got my car (not the only I reserved).I have come to the Orem, UT location several times and EVERY time the employees are not competent (they are not new, I see them every time). The manager is rude and impersonal.AND they rarely have the vehicle I has asked for. One time they only had electric cars and just told me "Sorry" and I left and had to change plans to get to my destination.Additionally, because of my bad experiences (at nearly every location I have been to n the United States) our company has decided not to use Hertz for nay of our business travel.Choose another company.

I originally wanted to rent a car from Enterprise, but my flight was delayed by 4 hours so I missed my rental appointment and had to find a new dealer. When I rented a car from this location & they didn't have it when I arrived. No one answered the phone, I and was not given any instructions on how or where to return the car after hours, so I returned my car earlier than my ticket time in their parking lot and dropped the rental agreement in their secured box with the key. No damage to the vehicle & I returned it with a mostly full tank of gas. When I check my email the next day, my credit card declined a charge from them for an extra $100. Then the NEXT day, declined a charge from them for $200. Then the day AFTER, declined a charge from them for $300!!!!! I had to cancel my credit card because you're trying to charge me an extra $600 in fees?!? My rental total was $151 with a $200 deposit which i'm now certain I'll NEVER get back, on top of all these new charges?! I feel absolutely scammed and I will never use Hertz ever again. How dare you!

Hertz is inattentive, does not answer their phone, and rents dirty cars. The staff isn't educated about how things work either. I called this location many times, sometimes 15 times throughout the day, but cannot get them on the phone. After my rental was completed, they put a $500 hold on my credit card. It's been about 3 weeks and it hasn't dropped off yet, but I can't reach anyone to get help. I live an hour away and I'm going to have to drive there in-person to get support.

Terrible customer service and experience overall from start to finish. I arrived to pick up my rental at 8 am right when they open. There were only 3 customers including myself and it took over an hour to leave with the rental. When I dropped it off Saturday, I had to wait around another hour. I was told I would get a final receipt emailed to me in about a half an hour. Didn’t receive it. Tried calling and they were closed. Called Monday right when they opened at 8 am. I was told they were helping other customers and would call me back in a few mins. Hours go by and I call a second time and get told that they are working with other customers and will call me back. I eventually was able to get the receipt. But I will not rent from this location again. For anyone reading this I would advise you to avoid the frustration and go elsewhere.

Terrible customer service today. Despite having a reservation, my vehicle wasn't ready when I arrived, and it also would not meet my needs, the customer service rep gave me a hard time about canceling the reservation. I am a Gold Customer, and likely will not rent from them again.

We had a painless experience here, mostly due to Kyle. He was great. Very helpful, kind and willing to honor the Hertz website price when it didn't match up to what ended up on their desk at the local location. This might be due to us extending our rental on the website. My advice is to take screenshots/keep records of what the corporate Hertz website promises, if you make any changes to your rental. Local location is great though, would come here again.

Do not rent a car from them!! I had the worst experience of my life. The customer service is awful! They didn’t even come out to inspect the car before I took it. She handed me the key and told me “the car is out front” when I asked which car she told me the name and said “the info is on the tag” and walked away!

They did not honor my friends Expedia price, she ended up having to get Expedia to refund her and we paid almost double. They charged us more than the agreed upon price and we had to keep calling to get the price we signed on. We had booked a car as we were road tripping out of state. They didn't even have our car there and we were given a gigantic truck. The man helping made sure to go out of his way to tell my friend she should dye her hair a different color. The process took over an hour to get the car, over an hour on the phone. It was a nightmare
