I hateeeee this pharmacy so much. I’ve tried so hard to like it, because the prices are unbeatable here. It’s easily the cheapest pharmacy around. But holy heavens the customer service is awful. I’ve never had a positive experience here.1) you’re going to have to wait 20+ min any time you come. Granted, a lot of pharmacies are like this, but I’d rather wait 20 min in my car than on my feet in a crowded grocery store.2) I’m not sure what the issue is with their line of communication, but there has been at least 4 different instances for me where I’ve showed up, waited in line for 20 min, to then just be told that my prescription wasn’t actually ready. It doesn’t matter if I’ve received a text or not confirming, doesn’t matter if I talk to someone on the phone beforehand. And then they want me to wait an hour for them to get it done.3) the employees….struggle. I really don’t know what the issue is. It seems like it’s their first day on the job every single time I’ve ever been here. (And I go often) they are also not kind at all. Bad vibes.I would highly recommend not choosing this pharmacy if you can avoid it. The prices are so nice but I want to rip my hair out every single time I have to come here.

I've been on epilepsy meds nearly my whole life. Costco is by far the most affordable pharmacy for what I need.

Better stock and supply than other pharmacies. CVS and Walgreens both failed to get things, but costco just had them in stock, and could get more the next day.

I feel bad for these guys and don’t think these reviews really represent this pharmacy. There’s shortages of medications everywhere right now and though it’s extremely stressful, it’s not the pharmacy’s fault. But it is easy to feel like it is and to take out our frustrations on the staff. Which is t fair. I genuinely believe the staff here is doing their best with what they can control, and when I call and ask questions over the phone the staff is patient and extremely knowledgeable with information. They also don’t sugar coat things, which is really helpful for me.All in all, I’d recommend this pharmacy, even after frustrating experiences come up or I wait in line for longer than I feel I should have to. At the end of the day, this pharmacy could be a lot worse.

My insurance changed and I was forced to switch to either Walgreens or Costco. I went to Walgreens for almost a year before it became unbearable.Costco is better but they often have long lines. Even with the long lines the wait isn’t usually more than 10-15 minutes.I have never had a time where anyone was upbeat and helpful, but they do check to make sure that what I am getting is correct.I would go to almost anywhere else if I could (except Walgreens) but getting everything right and usually having what I need in, is more important than the other stuff.

Man, I should have taken a look at these reviews. I assumed that the pharmacy would have it together like the Costco we all know and love. The worker at the register was just trying to figure things out but "didn't go to school so I don't know". The pharmacist came over really not giving a crud about the situation. They said they had called me, but they hadn't. They had apparently tried to send a text, but I wasn't in the system to be able to receive texts. Huge no thank you and don't appreciate the lack of even basic concern.

I'm standing in a line of 10 people. One person is assisting. At least 5 people in the back room. I ask can't a person come out and help." They are all doing prescription. " I said the prescriptions can wait 30 min Many of use cannot. Poor management. Target always has 2 or more to help.

I love Costco, both my mom and husband have worked for costco for several years. We used to live in Springville so we used the Spanish fork costco but then we moved to Orem 3.5 years ago. My kids are on monthly medication and this pharmacy is soooo rude and unhelpful. It’s like pulling teeth every month just to get my kids their medicine. Sometimes I take the drive to Lehi so I can get better service. It’s sad to see there are so many bad reviews for them yet nothing is ever done. I would encourage everyone to e Mail corporate and file complaints that way. Orem is the worst Costco in all Utah county.

I had been trying to fill a prescription for weeks, calling every pharmacy in the area and no one had it in stock or bothered to help me find a way to get it. I called the Costco pharmacy in Orem and the lady who answered was so helpful, she said they didn’t have it in stock right then but she gave me suggestions for how I could eventually get it filled. I wish I remembered her name, she was so awesome, I felt heard for the first time in weeks. It was so nice to talk to someone who was willing to help

I absolutely love Costco! Their pharmacy department on the other hand is probably one of the worst experiences I have ever received when it comes to customer service. I went in after work a little after 5 PM today to inquire about my prescription. The staff members there seemed so bothered that I asked about my prescription they kept telling me I need “prior authorization” and I told her if she can elaborate, and they got so mad that I asked them, she sent me to another window and they did the same thing to me. I am sorry I don’t fully understand. This is my first time ever getting a prescription so I chose to go to Costco. I don’t think that should be tolerated at any level of customer service, especially if it comes to the medical field. People should feel at ease when it comes to going to the pharmacy picking up the medicine.

So my husband and I went up to the pharmacy to get a prescription filled, and we were explaining that we had a sheet to get his prescription filled. Immediately the pharmatech Angela was extremely rude, rolled her eyes at us, and cut us off even though we were trying to make her job easier and just have no confusion about what we were giving her. We felt extremely disrespected by her when we were extremely nice and we're just trying to make her job easier. Honestly was a really negative experience and I don't understand why someone like Angela is working in a customer service job when she can't even treat a human being with respect and decency that was completely reciprocated.

I had been trying to get a script filed for weeks. Costco stayed that if I continued to call after 2 p.m., I could see if they got drug in. My patience paid off. They were very helpful and curtious as they ran my insurance and got everything straitened out.

Very rude and snappy, I understand you may get the same inquiry about specific medications currently in short supply, but if your staff can’t handle getting the same question multiple times a day they need to work in a different industry. Though maybe they are just unpleasant people
