here is my story... I am a knowledgeable pc builder. my father also has over 50 years of IT work and building PCs amongst other things. I was working on ding a new pc. got all the part but I needed a new cpu and ram. I decided I'd go down to my local Best Buy and get them. I bought a 13900k and 4 sticks of ddr5 6000 mghz ram. well I get home and my computer won't post. "meaning can't get into the bios." we spent 2 days tryin to figure it out to the point I had to get a new motherboard but still wouldn't post. so eventually I say screw it and head to pc laptops in Orem. they check it out and a day later determined it was a faulty cpu. I take the cpu go back to Best Buy to return it. it had only been max 4 days. the guys at Best Buy told me they couldn't return it because the batch number on their box doesn't match the cpu number. so my first thought was well maybe the pc guys forgot to swap back the cpus. I go back there we had a yelling match and finally the manager says they will do a straight up swap and give me a new one and take mine. I agree and i go back. as we are swapping cpus he tells me he has an app he can check the exact QR code on the cpu with an intel app. he can't get it to scan so he grabs his cpu he's going to trade and it scans instantLu. first thing I noticed was the CPU's had different colors and the print on his was much darker and more clear where as mine was some what grey. my biggest issues is that 1 I have my receipt and the cpu why can't I return it if you the store made the mistake of not labeling thing's correctly and 2 even if it isn't labeled correctly it's got warranty with Intel so you can RMA it. but nope they refuse to take it. very shady in the fact that the cpu does not look like the actual Intel cpu. my hunch is 2 ideas. the first being there is someone that works there that got their hands on the boxes and swapped things out with something that looks like the real thing and then sells the real one of eBay. which if that's true DO NOT SHOP HERE. or 2. because it was closer to the holidays and lots of people re things it somehow got mixed up and they made the mistake. either way what a trash place to shop if I have the parts I was sold and the receipt but they refuse to take it back. makes me believe it's shady as hell. SHOUTOUT TO PCLAPTOPS FOR OWNING UP AND HOLDING THEMSELVES ACCOUNTABLE

Me and my husband recently went on a shopping spree for Christmas and we had the pleasure of being helped by Cole. I have given up on Utahs customer service since we moved here 2 months ago. Cole changed our minds by being very helpful and patient. He made sure we knew about the best deals and best options for our purchases. Thanks Cole we appreciate you.

Just had a pretty bad experience with the geek squad. The only reason why I’m not giving one star is because the dude wasn’t necessarily rude. I set up a 20 minute consultation appointment and pretty much just said I need help reinstalling windows onto my pc. The worker proceeded to try and sell me a $180 membership and said he can’t help me unless I pay that. I didn’t think it would cost that much just to get a little bit of help. He did give me a few ideas to try that I already attempted on my own prior to the appointment. Bottom line, the employee didn’t even seem interested in consulting me or quoting me on how much it would cost to just help me reinstall windows. They just seem like super lazy employees not eager to help at all.

Aiden over The Geek Squad is Amazing!!!!!! She listen very well and is kind and has a cool sense of humor. She told is easy wordage what we needed to do . Aiden is very efficient at what she does. Please give her a bonus! People like her need to know that they are appreciated.My/ 1st visit here was horrible!!! I was there for 15 minutes before anyone said ‘hi’ …..anyways, AIDEN!! Thank you for your help!!!!

Same friendly greeting, but I feel like Best Buy is never what it says it is. We went in to see some appliances in person, and they were so dusty and gross that I couldn't even stay to look to see what we wanted.

Surprisingly, it was not a chaotic Black Friday shopping experience. There were a lot of people in the store, yet it was easy to get help with the electronics that I was purchasing.

I was given my “new” ps5 box ripped, with tape to close it off. When I asked the customer service associate if he could trade it for a new one since I paid for a new one. He said I had to go through a whole process. I believe if I paid for a gaming console over $500 it should be given in the appropriate conditions. Especially with Christmas coming up, I don’t want to see a tore up box, when my nephew opens his gift.

Best Buy manages to have good price and I feel like it’s always easy to find what I need when I go there. Their stock is great too so they will usually have what I need. I also liked that they anticipated some of their Black Friday deals for the rest of the week so you don’t have to go in on Friday when the store is so busy it’s hard to walk in there. My friend went in this Black Friday tho and said it wasn’t too bad and he was able to be in and out in less than 20 minutes, so props to them and their organization!

There was only one person at the cellular/mobile/smart watch area, and he had to keep going in the back to check stock or get items. Right when we received assistance after waiting about 30 min, finally another person must have come off break or something. There were several people waiting to be helped.

Cassie the manager was rude, unhelpful, and hard to work with, after dealing with her employees that gave much the same service. We called with a question, and after Molly was unable to help we asked to speak with a manager. Molly would not connect us, forcing us to go in store and deal with Cassie. Come here to leave a review come to find out they already have less than a 2 star review. Best Buy corporate should look at who they're choosing to represent their company.

I've been to several Bestbuys. I've never had great serviceI think they rely on being the only game in town. Needed a router that was Google compatible. I didn't know much about it and either did the young man helping me. He kept saying that he was pretty sure it would work. I said that I needed a 100% yes that it was what I needed. He said 100 percent it is what I needed.Of course it wasn't even a router. I told him, I don't think this is what I need.Returned it and went to Walmart, got what I needed

I called in with some electronic questions. The gentleman I spoke with was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He provided top tier over the phone service. I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience with Best Buy as a whole.

Used to be a regular. My wife's portable DVD player broke after the 2nd use. We came in to get it replaced and the customer service rep said "Sorry can't help you." I turned to my wife and said, "OK we'll buy a new one some place else." The guy said "Cool!" We walked out and haven't been back since. I hope that guy is proud of saving his company $90 while probably ignoring that about $500 in business has gone someplace else since then that would have been Best Buy's business otherwise. I just delete the e-mails and texts now.

Word of caution, don't purchase appliances here!I purchased a washer at this location over a month ago, yet still haven't recieved it despite being several weeks past the original delivery date. No one can even seem to tell me when it will actually arrive. Employees are nice, but pretty terrible customer service from the company nonetheless.

I purchased a 75" TV from them on 9/1, they could not get it scheduled for delivery until 9/8, but the delivery person was sick, so it was pushed out until 9/9, they were sick again so I went back into the store on 9/10 and I was pushed all the way back to 9/21, they could not work me in sooner despite that it was not my fault it was not delivered at the original date so I said fine and waited until 9/21.On 9/18 I received the text message to remind me to 'prepare for delivery', and I expected a call on 9/20 to narrow the time frame from 7am to 7pm but a call never came so on the morning of 9/21, the delivery date, I called 'the store' but you can never talk to anyone in 'the store', it rolls over to India or somewhere and they said my delivery had been rescheduled as the item was 'out of stock'. What? Did I get a call? No. They couldn't tell me why I was not informed.So, I drove back to the store.Earliest delivery was now 10/4, over 1 month from purchase date, they had no issue taking my $1500 but couldn't deliver the product. The person in store had no clue why it had been cancelled in the system for delivery as they had them in stock at the store.Cancelled the order, drove over to RC Willey on that day, yesterday, 9/21, bought a 75" TV and it was delivered and installed today, 9/22, for less than what Best Buy was charging me.Last time I will ever set foot into a Best Buy store, they are beyond incompetent.
