I needed to get the coolant changed on my fiancée's car but didn't want to go through the hassle of going to a dealership to pay $300 and have the mechanic pitch me 50 things that he could fix that he doesn't need to.Instead, I called Rod's, got the job done a couple of days later at a fraction of the cost. If you are like me and are sick of people attempting to take advantage of you at the mechanic's, call this place. They'll have you in and out and never spoke a word pushing additional work on me.

I can’t explain how awesome this place is. A friend recommended them to me years ago and I have taken my vehicles here ever since. They never try to upssell you anything. They are honest. And they know what they are doing. I have never been to a mechanic shop that I can say I feel are 100% honest except for this place. They have been fair to me so many times that I know I can trust them. I live in Tremonton and still take my vehicles here. They deserve to be recognized because I believe there isnt another place around that has the integrity like they do.

SCAM! AVOID THIS PLACE!! DONT FALL FOR THE POSITIVE REVIEWS.Took my vehicle in for a troubleshoot of my squeaky brakes. Told by Tim that it was some rust on my rotors and replacing them will DEFINITELY fix my problem. He even talked me out of replacing the pads!! 1 week later and the squeaking is even WORSE! Got conflicting answers from the woman and gentleman that work there, too. She told me on the phone that they stand by their work and guarantee they will fix it at no additional cost, then when I bring it in, I am told that they can't do anything for me beside replace the pads and anything else will cost me!!!Terrible customer service, rotors they put in were TERRIBLE cheap quality and showed rust signs a day after install.I get they have a small town backing them but I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE.They don't stand by their work at all. It's all a bunch of he said, she said. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.Services: Tires

Great place--honest, excellent, quick, astute work and reasonable prices. I found Rod's Best after my car had lost all power on the freeway. The local dealership where I first went told me I needed a catalytic converter (I had replaced that last year) for over $4000; so I searched for a good mechanic online. Rod's came very highly rated, with reviews from many people who have brought him all their cars repeatedly for many years, even from a distance. When I called Rod's Best, they told me how to get my car towed to their shop (I am from out of state), and looked at it the same day. It was done remarkably quickly, early the next morning--a fuel pump for only $250. It ran fine all 4 hours of the way home. This is an honest, terrific place, with a fine mechanic. Thank you so much, Rod's Best! Too bad I don't live near Ogden so I could make Rod's Best my official mechanic! I highly recommend them.
