Called the guy and scheduled an appointment told him what I had and drove an hour to his shop. He looks at my grandfathers 303, which I told him I was bringing and said I don’t work on those old guns because I can make thousands of dollars working on newer guns. more interested in making big money then being a good Gunsmith, then he wanted to argue… what a POS.

Checked out many gunsmiths, and there was one clear choice, Garrett Preece. His work tells the story. Many friends, fellow hunters, and gun enthusiasts all stated that Preece Precision was the one to use. I just had them put a brake on my old Browning. Beautiful work and quick turnaround time. Amazing gunsmith. Accurate and reliable. Knowledgeable. Especially with PRS builds but also with hunting rifles. My mountain 300 WSM built on a magnesium chassis is absolutely dead nuts accurate, reliable and crazy stable for 6.2 lbs.
