Normally, we love the dinosaur park and have been many times - this review is specifically for the dinos after dark event, and more of a heads up for the staff than anything, as tonight was the last night of the event for the year. Online and in all the advertising materials we saw, it stated that this is a family friendly event - which is true, for about 20% of the park. The rest of the park was a zombie haunt that stated that it wasn't recommended for anyone under 16. This was disappointing, as it meant that the majority of the patrons were packed into the trick or treat area set up around the playground. We brought our 2 year old and we were done with everything available to her in about 20 minutes, so we decided to take the risk and take her through the haunted trail. It was poorly lit, you couldn't see most of the decorations or dinos, and even at that many of the usual pathways were closed off. Considering that it was the same price as day admission, I expected that we would be able to see the majority of the park. For an event that was marketed as family friendly, it was a bit of a letdown, and we felt like the ads were misleading. In terms of a haunted attraction that's not family friendly, it also left a bit to be desired. I would recommend picking one of those 2 options and sticking to it instead of going for a broad audience appeal, or at least updating the advertising to properly describe the event so that people know what they are getting themselves (and their kids) into before they arrive.

This is a hidden gem! The exhibits were well done and adequately labeled. Really enjoyed the Gem & Mineral display. The staff was friendly and helpful. As fate would have it we were there amid several school busses full of 4th graders. It was a joy to watch them particularly in the dinosaur areas. I recommend the Eccles Dinosaur Part to anyone of any age that has a few hours to spend at a more than reasonable price.

$8 for admission and lots to look at! My toddler loved it and we like to spend about 1.5-2 hours here. The park area needs to be freshened up and cleaned up a bit. Other than that, we love it and plan to keep going!

A truly old school dino museum/attraction. mineral displays and art are located on the upper gallery. Even if you are just there for the dinosaurs it's still worth checking out!
The lower gallery is home to the dinosaur fossil musiem and viewable labs! Take the time to read the placards and labels for facts.
The park is full of both old and new statues. Sure some of the statues seem dated but it's intresting to see how people thought dinosaurs used to look like. I felt like I was a kid again wondering how they looked, sounded and behaved. Perfect to bring your kids or just for the dino need inside of you!

I've been going here since I was a little kid and today I was able to take my kids. It is still incredibly fun and you learn so much. Going here will always be a family tradition.

This park is great. My kids loved it.
Additionally the staff is great. I somehow left my wallet at the park and didn’t realize it until I was headed to a wedding. I called and since I had a flight the next morning before they opened, Canton worked to figure out how to get my wallet to our rental. Another employee, Carter then drove to my condo and placed my wallet in a secure location. They provided me with a great opportunity to discuss integrity and being kind with my kids.
I am very grateful for them going above and beyond to help me.

It is an absolute classic, interactive, fun filled experience. Founded in April 1993 & with more than 100 exhibits, this is the perfect place to take your family.
As a mother, I LOVE the educational aspect. My 2 oldest have ADHD so, we stick to a schedule. Starting with a walk throu the musem where they have a moving triceratops protecting her young from a t-rex. We move into the gems. My kids love how they sparkle in the light. they have a large variety on different kinds, then heading down the stairs/ elevator to a look at a few dinosaur bones ?, then we go on a dino hunt, looking for a few favorites. We then take a much needed break & dig for fossils. Followed by feeding the Fish/ Ducks. Then off to the play ground. We typically eat lunch or a snack, then we go on another dino hunt.

Lots of ground to cover outside! I had a playground out there with a sandpit ground. The kids absolutely love burying themselves in it and going down the slides. While you're not allowed to climb on the other displays, there are little dinosaurs on the playground for the kids to climb on. The inside has a really nice osteological dinosaur exhibit as well as a very intricate mineral exhibit. As soon as you go upstairs there is an animatronic scene that doesn't show gore but it does have roaring. My daughter was all over it. My son wanted nothing to do with it, The roaring startled him. I was really surprised to see a wide variety of statues outside. I was able to find my favorite dinosaur the parasaurolophus hadrosaurus. Not everywhere has those. Plus the gift shop has fossils and select minerals for sale which I was all over.

So affordable and amazing! If you are debating whether to go here or to the Thanksgiving Point museum, this place is much more suited to small children. Infants under 2 are free; everyone else is $8. We had a great time with our dinosaur-expert 3 year old. It's not overwhelmingly big, but we were impressed by the available information and very detailed dinosaurs.
We didn't have to buy tickets in advance, but we went on a very slow day.

We had a lot of fun. The older 2 did a scavenger hunt from the map to find all of the dinosaurs listed. The younger 2 loved the variety and following the trails. They wanted to play on the 2 playgrounds, but it was too hot. Fortunately, there were plenty of trees around the park for shade. The inside museum was very interesting also. The collection of gemstones was beautiful.
