I purchased Dewalt chainsaw. Used it for not even one lite on the battery. Noticed that oiler was not oiling the bar and chain. Took it back the next day. They didn’t have the exact one in the store. They said they would have Shane their Dewalt sales rep call me. Call never came so I stopped by. Shane was reluctant to try to help he said he could just give me my money back. I told him I didn’t want my money I wanted the saw! He said he couldn’t bring one in because they are more expensive now. I said what does that matter for a warranty exchange. He finally agreed to bring another saw in we shook hands he said it would be a week to a week and half. Well it’s been over a week half so I called him. He hasn’t brought a saw in he sent it in to a service shop and doesn’t know what they are doing. I don’t think there is any other dealer of Dewalt that would treat a customer especially a service professional customer this way. So from before thanksgiving they have had my money nearly $700 I spent on Dewalt and my saw. Home Depot or any other store would have replaced the saw no questions asked. Not sure if this is the way Dewalt wants to treat it’s service professionals or if this is a great western Dewalt sales rep treatment. So now if I am lucky some day I might get a reconditioned saw with a toasted bar and chain sold as a new saw. Seems like it would be embarrassing for Dewalt to have a bad saw out of the box. Seems like something they would not want to punish their customer for but quickly make it right. Harbor freight warranties their tools better than this!!!

Our home has an in-floor heating system sustained by a large water heater that also warms the water for other household needs. This is not an item that can be found at Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc. We woke up to the joy of cold showers and immediately knew we had a problem. Turns out the water heater packed it in overnight. Great! Hard to find water heater, holiday weekend with plumbing stores closed from Saturday to Tuesday and temperatures forecasted to be below freezing by Monday…we were in trouble. We started calling around on the off chance we could do something. Turns out Great Western has someone on call during the holidays to address urgent needs. Someone in SLC was on the phone with my husband for quite a while trying to find a replacement unit by referencing the serial number of our 20 year old heater (which is not available anymore…of course) to current brands on the market. He found an AO Smith commercial grade heater he thought might work but didn’t know if any were in inventory in our location. The on-call person in SLC contacted the GWS manager in our area and asked him to contact us. Jay Jenkins was on the phone immediately with my husband. He not only called my spouse by name, but was concerned about if we were getting cold, if we had anyone to install the unit (if they could find one), etc. He called an employee to physically open the warehouse and see if they had the unit in stock. Fortunately they did, yea! He then called back and asked if we could pick it up now or needed someone to deliver it. We told him we could pick it up and install it (my husbands and sons are pretty handy) and he had the employee wait for us at the warehouse. Now get this, holiday weekend, stores closed, warehouse employee waiting to help us load it… no way to process a payment for a very pricey unit. 20 years ago our water heater was 5K+. I don’t even want to think about what this unit is going to cost us…just after Christmas no less. We walked out the door with a unit that cost more than most engagement rings with the instruction to “come in Tuesday, when you can, to make payment arrangements.” We are warm, comfortable and enjoying hot water…with a minimum of cussing and angst. We came in to look for a new kitchen faucet and Jenny helped us and was absolutely incredible! She was so knowledgeable and went above and beyond our expectations! We were able to find a beautiful faucet thanks to her and we will definitely be going back to see her in the future!

Unfortunately, the team and their inventory system at Great Western Supply needs to get it together. We heard good things and had a pleasant experience upon ordering our supplies. We were told all items were in stock and we could pick up that same day or tomorrow, whatever worked best for us. We notified our plumber and our pick up team to pick up the supplies the next day. We never received any calls from Great Western letting us know that their had been an error and our items were not in fact in stock. Our driver that did the pick up waited there at least 40 minutes while they tried to find out order, only to find they didn’t have half our parts. We asked if they knew when they’d have them- they said they didn’t know and couldn’t find out. Because of the disorganized and lack of communication- we had to completely cancel our order with them, reschedule or date with our plumber (added a couple weeks to our remodel), and completely wasted hours of our time. I truly hope this was an out of the ordinary error on their end and that others have a better experience. ?

We ordered a bathtub from them. Once we got it home, we noticed a bubble on the side. So we took it back, they said they couldn’t see it. After some convincing, they finally saw it and said they could fix it. Fast forward a bit and we got the tub back. It looks worse than before. The tub guy thinks it looks fine.
