Unbelievable customer service… and not in a good way! When you walk in, almost every surface is plastered with a warning or a disclaimer of some kind including their front doors... That just sets the expectation for the kind of service you are about to receive. Everyone that works here acts like they failed the customer service training course offered by the DMV. They treat their customers with disdain and condescension, and act like you are asking for the world to have them sell you some nuts, bolts or screws.The pricing used to be decent, but that has changed. Other “big box store” options in the area are 1/2 the cost (or less).We all want to support local before going to a big box option, but who can afford to pay more than 2X the cost and be treated like they kicked the shop dog on the way in the door to do so?People want to complain that small businesses are being run out of town by big national retailers… well, with service and prices like the Bolt & Nut Supply Co., no one will wonder why they don’t survive.Selection of specialty hardware is good (good, not great). The tool and consumable products selection in the showroom looks like they are already going out of business.

Store has minimum $5 purchase which now includes cash purchases. Card companies charge transaction fees so I get it for cards but not for cash.I came in to buy a some bolts and wanted to see how close I was to the $5 minimum so I asked what the total was up to that point and he said $5.21. I thought "great, I have at least $5 worth of stuff" and checked out. Later when I looked at the itemized receipt it just had a single line item titled "minimum charge". If I had known I hadn't met the actual minimum I would have bought more bolts for another project I am working on. Instead of being transparent and giving me an actual total they just rounded it up to $5.00 and pocketed the difference as extra profit.

Somewhat limited inventory. Staff are responsive to questions. Double check your order before you leave as I had multiple items wrong.

Showed up at 12:25 and the guy said (taller, bald) said I'm going to lunch and you have to wait until 1:00! I said I only need 4 nuts and I drove all the way from layton to grab them? Keep in mind it says closed for lunch between 12:30 and 1:00 so I said we'll its 12:25 and I will be here less than 2 minutes? He shut the door in my face and locked it! He is a great embarrassment to this company and I will gladly take my business elsewhere! 1 star is not low enough for the way these people treat there customers!

These guys have a "can do" attitude! Many solutions for fastener problems. And if they don't have what you need, they will surely order it in. Great place to work with... for many years now. Highly recommend

Love this place! I have always found what I needed here. Today I needed some larger self tapping screws and they had a good selection. I always grab a couple hose clamps of the right size for another task. I also got little hooks for yet another honey do list item.Highly recommend.

Showed up close to closing time hoping to match a broken bolt I had brought with me. Was told they were closing early because by the time they finished helping me they would be past closing time. I can appreciate wanting to close on time in retail but if your sign says open, you should be open. If you want to close at 4:20, change the sign. Poor service.Response to owner: it definitely wasn’t 4:28. I even spoke with your employee and asked why he was closing early. All he could tell me was “sorry, I know it’s not 4:30 but they don’t pay me overtime”. That’s poor service. I needed a few bolts and if he had cared I bet I could have been out by 4:30. Instead, he showed how the business values the little guys.

I had an obscure lock screw that I needed for a deadbolt knob. They were able to find the right one very quickly and for a very reasonable price. I really appreciate these people!!

This place usually has what I need. The store is very clean and organized. The only complaint I have is there are a few of them that aren't personable. They just want to get you out of the store. I will still shop here since they have what I need!
