This is an excellent park to bring your pet for some open area play time, to fly a kite, or throw a Frisbee. It's a huge, flat, very well maintained grass area that's a little hard to find if you're not familiar with the area so it's never too crowded. We like to park in the Ogden botanical gardens parking lot off Monroe and Park road and walk the paved path to the park for some play time.

WARNING .. we love this park to launch the tennis ball with our pup. This time of year there are spikey grassburs that will get in your furry friend's paws. Please be careful

It’s a nice field and cute little playpen, but you basically have to go over a bridge and down into the playground. And a bike trail and the river are RIGHT THERE, so you have to make sure your kids don’t go near that.

One of Ogdens greatest public parks with every thing needed for the whole family to enjoy great views. Lots of grass and space for everyone. Running trail, playground, the Ogden River Parkway touches to the north of the park.

We love walking our dogs here. Good, level walking trails, doggie p*** bags, beautiful river views, lots of shady trees, and other friendly walkers!

Such a fun place to play! Huge open field for the kids or dogs to play, a playground and a nice walkway with "Olympic exercises" to try out. The only downside is that it's a little out of the way to get to.

This is One of the best places to Fly a Kite if you know what that is, if not ask Mom or Dad ?. Lots of small exercise activities around the loop of the park, please help keep it clean. Small Pinic area as well please reserve with the city prior if you are having an event.

Park playground definitely needs an upgrade. Like the large field with the exercise stations around the outside along the walking trail.

This is a decent park.Thr pros. The park is the biggest open field park in the county. A great place to run, play ball with kids, fly a kite, have a picnic at the bowery. The Ogden Parkway (Walkway) is a great place to go on walks from this location. The Walkway is adjacent to The Ogden River. The views of the mountains are great. The quietness is nice, it's a peaceful setting. The cons if the park. The parking is very poor on weekends and busy nights. The bike repair area is old and needs to be replaced. The air pump does not work. The tools are in disrepair. The air hose is a metal hose. It is worn out and has metal splinters poking out all throughout the metal hose. This is a safety hazard for metal slivers for anyone that grabs it and tries to hold it.The lack of garbage cans is a need that would help improve the area.

Big D sports park has so much to offer I mean you've got the playground that is amazing and it is a beautiful scenery you're right next to the river you have an exercise program that has different stops along the way that tells you different exercises to do and it's just a great little program that they have there and it's got a long trail that just goes all along the river walkway and you can just keep going and going and it's amazing! It's got a big dog park where your dogs can run for a huge long time and it's amazing and it's a big open area you can fly kites you can also it's got a big picnic area and Cabana and barbecue pits there's just so much this place has to offer you have to go

Had my daughter's gender reveal here...it was perfect! The kiddos were able to go play on the playground or out in the field, there was plenty of parking and the area was clean. The grills came in handy, there are public restrooms and access to outlets in the pagoda for things like speakers.
