This is one of my new favorite places in Ogden Utah! I am extremely grateful that they carry Arc’teryx the arcteryx products fit me and my unique body shape and structure perfectly! I appreciate the fact that the Arc’teryx products here are significantly less than the retail locations but are of the same equal quality. Employees here treat me with respect and seem genuinely interested in me finding the right products.

First off, I want to clarify that the Salomon Center and the Arc'teryx Factory Outlet are the same place in the Amer Sports Complex, but I'm not sure how that breaks down when it comes to staff. It seems that the employees all work for Arc'teryx, just not sure on that... The first time I went to this location (Dec 2, 2020) the experience was top-notch. I had a broken zipper on my ski coat and they fixed it perfectly with no charge. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the guy and younger gal who helped me, but they were both very cool, nice and helpful. I also ended up buying a lot of new stuff that day, with no regrets. The next time I dropped by (Feb 23, 2021) there was a very strange energy in the store. I eventually attributed this to the woman who appeared to be the senior staff member, and the scowl that would come across her face anytime she was asked a question. In addition to acting annoyed by the customers, she also seemed bothered by the seemingly cool other staff member on duty. This woman/manager? was so unwelcoming and cold, I simply no longer wanted to be in the store. As I've known Arcteryx for years to be an awesome company with awesome employees, I wrote off the woman as an anomaly and moved on. Then a few days ago (March 9, 2021), I brought my wife and kids to the store for the 40% off sale. Sadly, the same staff member was on duty, but I hoped that she was having a better day. She was not. We entered the store and before we said a single word, the woman glared at us in a way that made us all feel unwelcome. My first thought was that we had arrived just before closing, but it was 4:30 and they didn't close until 6:00. The woman then asked us what we were looking for and when I replied that we were going to browse around, she smirked and walked away. If I hadn't driven nearly an hour to get to the store, I would have left right then and there. But instead we regrouped and decided to not let this unhappy person bring us down. Maybe 2 or 3 minutes later, while my wife and I were looking through items on the sales wall, I heard the woman confronting my kids. I didn't hear all of what she said, but I did hear, "Stop it, right now"! And ..."you'll cut your faces"! My kids were having fun and playing a chase/tickle game or something, but the tone and volume used by the woman was totally uncalled for. I stepped to the front (it's a small store) and I could see my kids were scared, with the woman hovering over them. I also saw tears welling up in their eyes (and these are not sensitive kids). When I told the woman that if she needed to say something to my children, she could talk to me, she smirked again and unapologetically walked away. At that point the deal was over, as my wife saw our daughter begin to cry. When I quietly explained to my wife that it wasn't personal as I had witnessed this same woman being nasty in the past, another customer (or possibly another staff member?) standing nearby overheard me and nodded in agreement. There was also one other male employee working at the time (who was super nice and cool), but he walked over to the Salomon side of the store to distance himself from his co-worker's behavior, which I strongly suspect he had seen before. My main question?? Why would a great company like Arc'teryx keep such an offensive person on their staff? I'm guessing there is a long story behind the reason they can't fire her, but come on Arc! At least don't have her on the front line! I know you all are better than that because I've been buying your awesome products and taking them all over the world for well over a decade.

What happened to the great sales you guys used to have. And it’s sad you don’t give the public service discount anymore. Things are changing there for sure

This place is amazing! For people who say it's not, don't know what they are talking about. Or are just impossible to please. I've been coming here for years and have always been greeted with a smile and always find great deals!! Best place to shop for great outdoor gear for all seasons. Definitely recommend this place!

I would not shop here again. I was told they are corporate, so"masks are required". Hello, this is a mandate and not a law. This is truly discrimination, and if I do choose to shop there again. The lady let me look around for 10 minutes & said I could shopon their laptop outside. Next time I will take the person's namethat tries to take away my constitutional rights. I can takeactions from there. However, I don't feel that I want to shopat this place anyway.

The staff here were unpleasant. First off I called this location a handful of times and never do they answer their phone or return phone calls.. I drove 1 hr to this location to do a return because my bank statement shows Amer Sports, I feel I am being reasonable to think this would be the place to return them. Fast forward to today, they right away wanted to give me a solution without hearing my concern. I work in Jewelry sales and customer service and when a customer is upset I try to first let them express what they need before I jump into how I am going to fix the issue. Naturally you want your customers to feel heard and understood. Well not these people they just want you in and out, thats how it felt. Will never shop this store.

This place needs to open. It's like their leadership is enjoying been closed. There is no reason for them to still be closed.
