Not nearly as good as we remembered.Room was in poor repair.Bathroom fixtures functioned opposite of markings. Phone did not work and we did not get everything we ordered. Front stairs are sinking— watch your step.Safety: Watch your step. Front stairs are sinking.

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and it was just the best experience ever. The breakfast was amazing. Brenda and her staff are so nice and very responsive to our needs. You can tell they really care about their visitors and want to do anything and everything to make their stay pleasant. We will be coming here again and HIGHLY encourage others to come here. We got the solstice cabin and it was so cozy and comfortable. Thank you to the Alaskan Inn and it’s staff for making our honeymoon amazing.

Would definitely stay here again. The facilities were clean and nice; I liked the decor and atmosphere. The staff was fantastic -friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the cabins. The food was very good, we loved the fantastic breakfast that was included every morning and brought to our cabin. My husband and I got the Eagles Nest - hash brown, eggs, hollandaise - and Creme Brule French toast and would split it so we could have both each morning. Driving through the Canyon to get there was such a beautiful experience. We got a couples massage and it was fantastic from the massage room, to the massage therapists, to the massage experience -it left me wanting more. The little game room upstairs in the main lodge was nice, we tried shuffleboard and enjoyed pong pong (quite a nice ping pong table). The rooms were cleaned well and the hot tub was big and enjoyable in the room. My only cons to be aware of- it is not exactly a working kitchenette if you were staying long and wanted to make some of your own food - no plates, silverware, paper towel/kitchen towel, etc. There was 1 hot pad mit, a toaster oven, microwave, and small hotel fridge, 1 cup Keurig maker; as well as plastic disposable cups and disposable hot coffee cups. When asked if we could have kitchen mugs stay in the cabin all week so I didn't have to keep using the disposable ones all week, they kindly obliged. That made me really happy. There were not any creamer pods which I would have liked, but there were those hotel packs with sugar, sweet n low packet, stir sticks with some coffee and hot chocolate pods. There were a few little broken/maintenance things, but you will find that anywhere and they were good at trying to remedy the situation. Someone wrote a bad review about no hot water and how bad the place was, but we were there at the same time and honestly did not see any of those problems, so the review seemed like a complaining disgruntled person who was inclined to be cranky. We stayed for a week and had nothing but good experiences. Again, fantastic staff and care, fantastic breakfast, great homey cabin, fantastic massages, and very good burgers to boot. Try them out! Bonus comment, we had a nice conversation with the general manager and thought she really cares about the staff, customers, and Inn.

The Alaskan Inn is located in scenic Ogden Canyon, which has high canyon walls with only a narrow usable strip of land on either side of the Ogden River. It's a beautiful location, but it is also somewhat remote. Some travel is necessary to get to dining/shopping/entertainment venues. It had been years since we had stayed at the Alaskan Inn. We opted for a getaway in early spring, banking on past memories. The room we stayed in was decorated interestingly and offered a lovely view of the river. Unfortunately, our room was chilly. The HVAC system struggled for several hours before the room reached a comfortable temperature. The water in the room never got hot. Or even warm, really. Our bed used a standard flat sheet in place of a fitted sheet. The flat sheet tended to pull out, wad up, and generally reduce bed comfort. While we could have contacted the staff about these issues, we didn't want to deal with the hassle. When you pay a premium price for a custom lodging experience, it should not seem unreasonable to expect issues of this nature to be resolved prior to your stay. We didn't stay here to serve as quality control.Breakfast was delicious and was delivered on time. But given the downsides of our experience, it's unlikely we will return.Rooms: Rooms are themed and are interestingly appointed. We stayed in early spring. While our room looked great, it was chilly and it took 4-5 hours to reach a comfortable temperature. The HVAC system seemed completely inadequate. To top it off, the water never got warm.Walkability: The beautiful location is somewhat remote. It is not safely walkable.Food & drinks: Breakfast was delicious and was delievered on time.

The room was clean overall with clean bathroom and tub. Love the large tub. There was small containers of shampoo conditioner and soap for use. We did not use the TV but that was nice to have if wanted. Breakfast was included and yummy and the kuerig hot chocolate was nice to have in the room. There were cobwebs present on the ceiling and walls and the coffeemaker handle was broken but overall great experience.

My wife and I stayed here for a week while visiting the area. Absolutely fantastic experience! Brenda and the staff were very friendly and their service was excellent. They go out of their way to provide you with a great experience while you're here. Located in a beautiful canyon, I could easily enjoy this scenery everyday. Also, hands down, the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel/resort. If we're in this area again, we'll come back.

The lodge was nice, right next to the river. Only complaint was how hot it was. The A/C wasn't blowing that cold. If there was a fan it would have

This place was great 15 years ago. We went recently 02/2024 and our room was so run down and in need of repair. Extremely disappointed, stains in the carpet, bathroom dirty and moldy,, spider webs in the ceiling and the room was about 50 degrees when we got there. We wanted a romantic getaway, but felt like we were in a motel 6.Rooms: Needed so much maintenance, room felt dirty and was extremely cold, took two hours to warm up to a comfortable temperature.
