Unethical..questionable tactics...delays. appear to refuse sending a notarized lien release letter. My brother was gifted a 2003 Infinity which was paid in full on November 20, 2022. Miguel Guanuna is the owner of US Auto Star and the lien holder. {Utah policy states lien holder has 7-10 days to provided a paid in full car title to the owner.}
Since July 2024, Miguel has been contacted 8 times by telephone with conversations, 5 times by emails, and 1 time by certified letter (which was delivered on Monday, Aug 5, 2024) requesting a notarized lien release letter from US Auto Star LLC which is required by California DMV. To date, the letter has never been received.
Miguel is not adhering the website statement: "US AUTO STAR LLC is dedicated to working with you...not working you over."
What will the next step be? Small claims court for a letter?

These guys are very honest people and their prices are fair as well. If you need any of their services I highly recommend them for whatever you may need.

A year ago I bought my first ever car from this place. The car broke down on me not 2 months after buying it. THE RADIATOR WAS HANGING ON ZIP TIES. I ended up paying 2,000 in mechanical repairs before I eventually had to sell it due to everything breaking down and I could no longer afford the repairs. Went to management and they did nothing to make it right. Don’t trust them.

I had a horrible experience with these guys. They were very unethical. We closed the deal and they gave me 30 minutos to come back with the cash (they don’t accept upfront money as a deposit). I came back in 27 minutes and they sold the car to someone else. If they cannot keep their word on something that simple, I cannot imagine what else they lie about. In my opinion they are not honest.I’d stay away from this shady dealer.

Bought a car from them earlier this week. They are not your typical car dealership. It’s a small family operated business and they don’t have “salesmen” to try and convince you or annoy you. You either like the car or don’t ha. I decided I wanted the car, and the negotiations lasted all but about 30 mins. Short and to the point.The only area where I think they need to reevaluate is their non refundable deposit policy and to be more upfront about it I understand that they have to cover themselves so people aren’t screwing them over, but their policy is that whatever you have decided your down payment is going to be, they try to collect up front to hold the car. If for whatever reason you don’t get the car, they keep the entire thing. Example:We decided to pay $4500 down and were to pick the car up the next day. Had we not asked, it didn’t seem that they would tell us that it wasn’t refundable at a. If we didn’t come the next day (due to getting financing denied), they would keep the entire thing! However the $4500 was our choice. Not theirs. Had we chose to just pay 1k down, then that would be the only amount non refundable. After questioning it, they did say that they can also just to 1k/day to hold it. Seems kinda steep to me still, but I wish they would have been more open instead of just letting us sign away 4500. Or institute their 1k per day policy with down payments larger than 1k. So if I pay 5k down, and after two days I end up not getting the car, they keep 2k and 3k is refundable. I think this would be a better strategy as the opposite does give the appearance of fishyness.That being said, overall it was a great car buying experience, one of the best and shortest I’ve ever had, and knowing what I know now, I would still come back and by a car from them. I do recommend it.More detail

They were the worst dealer In Utah. Took my car there to get fixed was promised they could do it. It’s been over a year I still don’t have my car and they caused 4,000$ in damages the dealership said. Really bad dealership. They say they don’t do repairs but they only buy broken cars fix it until the engine light is off and sell it with no warranty 90% of the cars are broken before hand and are sold broken they just make it look nice

The dealer was easy to work with and sold my wife and I a great truck. I did feel like they could have been a little better with communication and overall friendliness. But buying a great working car was the priority and they sold us a great truck for the price we were looking for!

US Auto Star had the expertise and tools to be able to reset my airbag memory on my 2015 F-150 (after I had replaced my deployed airbags). The price was very fair and and they were able to do it while I waited.
