Fail, fail, fail, I tried to return a Heater Buddy (with a receipt). Guy named Rick (I think) comes up saying nope, it's been used, I said yea, but it never worked, Rick says "mine does". After 10 minutes, Rick finds out I bought the Heater Buddy in California, and says no return. Totally rude moron, this is the reason Walmart and Amazon are taking down places like Ace Hardware left and right. Keep it up Rick, you'll be driving an Amazon truck soon after they close Ace down.

My experience was great. A nice young man helped me find and choose the correct steel rods. He went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied with the selection.

I will no longer shop at this Ace hardware store. I have always loved coming here, the people that work here are all very friendly and helpful. However the manager is very rude, does not listen if an issue arises. I returned an item with a receipt to this place and they had double charged me by accident. The manager refused to listen to my concerns and it took me almost 3 months to get my money back. I had the receipts to prove it and America First had to talk to him and even then he didn’t want to refund my money. He is not helpful when issues arise, has an attitude towards people just trying to get the problem resolved. Also had another run in with this same manager. I bought some fencing from Ace that was 8.99 and theirs was priced at 9.99. I would have just went to the other Ace again where I bought them however I am a nurse and did not get off work until later so that other store was closed. So I figured I would go to my neighborhood Ace and see if they would match the same price for me so I wouldn’t have to wait until Monday to buy the fencing. Nope that manager didn’t even let me finish talking telling me I had to return the product to the other Ace Hardware. I said I haven’t even purchased your product yet. He thought I was trying to return product from another Ace store. He doesn’t even let customers explain. I just wanted to ask since all the other Ace stores are priced a little lower if he wouldn’t mind price matching it. He was very rude and said nope will not do that we do not price match. I wasn’t trying to price match anything but an Ace Store. I tried to show him on the Ace Hardware site and he wouldn’t even listen. He acts like people are trying to be dishonest or rip his store off. I was treated very poorly by this manager for the second time. I purchased the fencing still because I really wanted to get my garden finished on my day off. However I am thinking of returning all 6 fences and never shopping at this Ace location again. The manager here is very unprofessional. I am a nurse and patient satisfaction is our utmost priority.

Ace Hardware is not just a hardware store. In addition to hardware, they carry home decor, toys, refills propane tanks and has call ahead pick up. Expert organization, stocked and Great service! Highly recommend!

I came in after some pest control products. Found what I needed quick and well priced. As I was leaving there was a belligerent person attempting to return an item from a different store. While I do understand policies and the intricacies of looking up old transactions when you didn't bring a receipt- people like this jackass are better for business OUT of your store. Best to instruct your associates to give the man his money and sort the loss out later... before they get flustered and start dropping F bombs and looking to fight over a less than $10 item. It's really a moment when you have to figure out "what's it going to take?" quickly... otherwise escalation can get physical and then the fallout results in way more loss than a $10 item. Doesn't matter if the guy is wrong. Get him out the door and move on. I was ready to pull him out myself because of how caustic he was being- but it was none of my business. The young lady cashier was getting flustered because the guy was both wrong and trying to be physical. She was trying to stand her ground... and he was about to "teach her a lesson". Totally inappropriate. It would be great to see this man barred from the store... sorry to rant but it's tough to find retail help these days and consumers like that need to stay at home. I hope your cashier didn't quit...
