I can’t even express in words how pleased I am with Dr. Israelson and his work. I have an elderly cat who came in to get a jaw biopsy and dental radiographs which showed my cat had extensive abscesses in his jaw/teeth. Not only did he do an AMAZING job on his surgery- especially considering about half his jaw was needing removed/remodeled- but he walked me through the entire procedure. He made sure I was a part of the entire process and explained everything in a way that allowed me to fully understand what he was doing AND exactly what was going on with my cat. He explained why he used each medication, extracted each tooth - all the way down to why he chose the suture pattern he did. I am extremely impressed with him as a doctor and with how personable he was as well. I can confidently say he is one of the best veterinarians I have ever gone to for care of my animals and I will absolutely be going back for all of my pets care in the future. I would also like to thank the amazing staff who were also extremely friendly, accommodating and responsive. They answered every question I had and went above and beyond. They even gave me updates throughout the day on when my cats procedure started and ended. I never take the time to leave reviews, but the gold standard of care I received at Mountain View absolutely warranted a glowing review. Thank you guys SO much for everything - me and my cat are very grateful!

I (regretfully) chose Mountain View Vet to board my poodle for two weeks. It became evident within days that their primary concern was not for animals' welfare but for how much money they were earning. I was hoping my dog would be surrounded by love while I was away but it seems that that came second to monetary concerns for them. Their pricing is very high for the minimal care they offer and I wish they would not provide a boarding service if it's not something they are willing to do well. While I can't speak to their veterinary services, if you love your pets, please choose another option for boarding. Fortunately my pup seems to have recovered from her stay there!

My senior cat had a standing appointment to get fluids every Friday in Providence. I showed up with my senior cat on Friday. Nov 24. The clinic was closed. I was not told that they would be closed on Nov 24. I called today to say that I had not been informed. The receptionist was very cheerful and happy to tell me that they had been "closed for the Holiday". She did not offer an apology, but more importantly, she did not even ask if my senior cat was OK. These vets are only in it for the money.

Wouldn’t even sell me dog food without charging me double and seeing a vet. Good to know they are just gouging people and clearly don’t care about animals.

The staff here were amazing… my daughter and I came in with concerns for our cat. From the gals at the front to the vet techs that checked us in were so kind and considerate… the vet that saw today… not sure if her name wished I could remember it… but she was so kind and loving when it came to talking about Tigar to my daughter… she stands out like a million stars… I couldn’t have been more happier with her!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful visit… we will be using you guys as our primary vet!!!

Dr. Israelsen is easily the best vet I've ever been to (lived all across the country - so I've been to a lot)! He takes time to hear your concerns and teach you about what's going on. I've never had a vet who didn't rush Pickles and I out the door as quickly as possible. He makes us feel heard and seen! He's extremely knowledgable! The rest of the team at MV is gentle and patient as well. I always can trust Pickles is in good hands!

The vet and techs were absolutlely wonderful! They were compassionate and caring. They always kept me in the know on my cat's condition and progress. They called me multiple times a day to let me know how he was doing and to answer my questions. I really appreciate their attentive care even when they were VERY busy.

I've been taking my dog here for 4 years. It's always been top quality treatment for him. He ended up passing a few weeks ago, and we got a hand written from all of the staff that hmthey are sorry for our loss and they loved Berry and his sweet personality will be missed! wow! I was very touched!

Boarded our puppy here. Got him back with serious concerns. We worry he was abused due to foam like drool from his mouth, terrified to see me the next day when I came home from work, and a strange bruising on his..parts. Highly suggest not using them!

For close to two decades we have worked with the vets here and they are some of the most caring and compassionate individuals you can ask for. Additionally, they provide some alternative treatments that are absolutely excellent and necessary for your pets.

Dr. H was so kind when it came to treating my cats kidney disease, and eventual end of life care. The whole staff was so kind, thoughtful and gentle when we said our final goodbyes.I love their office and staff, and know that my other pets are in good hands.

We started going to Mountain View Veterinary after bringing our senior pup in for an emergency visit, and we wish we had known about them sooner! We had a sweet senior pup (Thor) who had a previously undiagnosed eye condition progress very quickly overnight and Mountain View was the first place who could get us in for an emergency visit the next day. The eye ultimate needed to be removed and Dr. Hillegass was amazing and the surgery went perfectly. A few months later, we found out the other eye needed to be removed because of the same condition. Dr. Hillegass was super helpful in talking us through all our questions and made us feel comfortable that Thor would be able to adjust well to being blind, which he did! We were impressed with how quickly the second surgery healed and Thor was back to being his incredibly happy and energetic self, even for a 13 year old yorkie.Fast forward to a few weeks ago when we noticed some odd behaviors in Thor, which was diagnosed as early signs of dementia. Dr. Hillegass was incredibly compassionate as well as informative when she walked us through our all our options, and took into account the quality of life of the pet as well as the owners. We ultimately felt it was time for Thor to cross the rainbow bridge, but the staff at Mountain View made it as easy as it could have possibly been. They provided detailed information of what to expect, they handled all payment and paperwork before the euthanasia so that we didn’t have to worry about it afterwards, they provided resources on dealing with grief, and a week or two later we received a card in the mail with handwritten notes from all of the staff members that included Thor’s nose prints.Mountain View does everything they can to make sure your pet is comfortable and relaxed. Thor never seemed overly anxious when we went to Mountain View, which was not the case when he visited his previous vet. Even after the trauma of losing two eyes there, he was noticeably calmer going to Mountain View.I also feel that their billing process was very fair and honest. We were bracing for crushing bills after two surgeries, but we were relieved that although vet bills are never cheap, it seemed very reasonable compared to stories I’ve heard. They also provided us with a very detailed itemized quote before both of his surgeries, and clearly explained things that were optional that we could opt out of to reduce the cost. A few things on the optional list they strongly recommend to do our dog’s circumstances, but they gave us the information and let us make the decision based on what we felt was best for our dog and our budget.I seriously cannot recommend Mountain View veterinary enough. The staff is incredible and they truly made one of the roughest six months of our family as easy as they could have. We will always be grateful for the amazing care they gave to our little guy and the compassion they have for pets and their humans.

We came to the veterinarian because we had heard that they were some of the best surgeons in the valley. We had a very positive experience with our dogs orthopedic surgery. We found Dr. Israelson to be very professional and kind no complaints. When we had to take our dog in for an allergic reaction I was quite surprised to find that we still had to wait outside and we're not allowed to come in to comfort our pets. That put me on alert. However this weekend, when my precious Little dog was hit by a car and I reached out to my veterinarian, the one I have paid thousands and thousands of dollars to, and surgeries, and vaccinations, emergency visits during their hours- to find that they don't care about your animals after 5 PM. That they refer you to a veterinarian over an hour away in an emergency situation! Disgusting absolutely disgusting! My animal died, there may have been some hope, and even if there wasn't the trauma that my family went through waiting to get care, Having to hold my dying animal in my hand while trying to find a veterinarian that cared was disgusting. We will be finding another vet, this is not OK!

Their no office entry car side only policy made it so that the last time I saw my cat alive was when I handed him to the vets assistant. I was forced to worry in my car with phone calls about how serious his condition was until he finally had a fatal seizure, after which they decided I could come inside to see him. I don't care about COVID I wanted to be by his side when he died. It's 2022, most people are vaccinated and these policies are detrimental. Service otherwise was excellent, I just recommend finding somewhere that allows you to be with your pets.

Most of the staff is caring and seem to do well with the animals. If you're looking for pet boarding go to the Mountain View Vet in Providence!
