I was given a $50 Sephora gift card for Christmas. I finally decided to use it today. I checked the balance online this morning just to verify and it had a $50 balance. Then I went to Kohl’s which has Sephora products, selected my purchase and went to the register. The clerk told me there was a zero balance on the card. I was shocked and she told me to call customer service (while blatantly eyeing me as if I was a thief). A Sephora customer service rep told me that they’ve had problems with unauthorized usage of gift cards but they don’t anything to replace the missing funds (“we treat a gift card as if it were cash”). They had the info on two scam purchases (one for $34+ and the other for $17) that were placed this morning but wouldn’t tell me who made the purchases or where the purchases were sent although she verified that they were placed online this morning. Someone must have scammed the gift card number and pin when I checked the balance this morning (maybe a Sephora employee?) after taking it out of the cardboard wrapper it came in which has been in my possession since Christmas.
As an aside, I made four phone calls to Sephora’s customer service. Two times I was disconnected and one rep hung up on me. Then Chris, supposedly a supervisor, came on during my fourth attempt and very condescendingly asked how my day was going. I actually asked him if he was for real. All in all, I spent over an hour and a half only to be told that gift cards get used unauthorized online but they choose not to do anything even though they have the info regarding the scam purchases.
Do not shop at Sephora and certainly do not purchase Sephora gift cards. Do better, Sephora.

I will never set foot in a Sephora again- I went in with money to spend for an event I wanted to get make up for. Staff were incredibly rude
and were out of many products. The place is tiny, testers are in weird locations and not plentiful. What’s the point when I can buy anything on Amazon, and return it for free if I don’t like it or it’s not the right shade then going through the hassle. Definitely lost my business.

This store seems to have an issue with restocking. I went in to get 2 things, tarte cc cream and milk tinted moisturizer and both were gone in every single light shade! I can understand just my color being out but when all the light colors are out for both brands that tells me that they are not reordering properly. I guess I will just stick to online ordering.

I came here a couple weeks ago and I think it was honestly the best customer service I’ve ever had. Eva was so friendly and helpful. Usually talking to employees is awkward and i try to avoid it but with her it felt like I was conversing with a friend. I loved her energy and she was willing to help anyone around. She was very knowledgeable about the products and gave me some wonderful recommendations. The Huda powders are doing me justice, thank you so much girl!

I was very disappointed with Sephora at Fashion Place Mall when we visited today. My son has been saving his money to purchase a bottle of fragrance & was dismissed several times when he told employees that he would like to purchase the bottle. We then went to Nordstrom where he received prompt service and my son was treated with respect, patience & professionalism... and where he made his purchase & will be in the future.

It was really busy on a Saturday, and there was only one register, so expect a long wait in line. A lot of their tester products are stolen or empty, but the people working there are happy to help, and show you lipglosses or whatever you want to see if you're willing to ask. It is VERY expensive, expect one bottle of lip gloss to be around 30-40 dollars. But, mostly all of the products are worth it for the quality.
All in all a very good experience!

I love Sephora! I was greeted by a young lady by the name of Olivia, who I admit before. She was outstanding and extremely helpful and helping me select under eye cover. I also love the return policy with Sephora. I've only returned things once or twice and it's always a pleasure to not have to hassle If you get something that doesn't feel right after you get home. Thanks for being a great store and for employing fabulous folks.
