At the end of June, my check engine light came on. After having it worked on at another auto body shop, I was told it needed to be looked at by technicians at Hyundai. Since then it has taken nearly 3 months for the issue to be resolved. In this time frame I brought the car back 5 separate times for the same issue in the span of a month. On the 5th time I was told that the “testing” they were doing wasn’t sufficient and that they would ensure they drove the car more so the issue was taken car of. This was at the end of July (the most recent time I dropped my car off). After 2 weeks of silence I reached out and was told the engine was being replaced under warranty. After another week I reached out again and was told the service manager I was working with was busy and he would call me back. Instead I got a call from consumer affairs who told me that he had no idea about the engine but the wiring harness had to be replaced and they were waiting for the warranty team to approve it. Another week went by and I called again and was told my service manager was again busy and that he would call me back. I never received a call. After another week I was finally able to get an update which was that the car was not quite ready but none of the other work I was told had happened. This was due to a “mix up” on their end (which I still don’t understand). I was told that they would finish testing later that day or the next and it would be ready then. I asked to be called when the car was ready which was confirmed but again never got a call. I called again and was told that the car had holds on it and that is was not ready. Another week went by and I was finally able to speak to a manager to not only explain the situation but also get an update on my car. I was told that the miscommunication that occurred was “unfortunate “ but that my car was ready. I came to pick it up and asked to have a discussion with the manager about how this could be made right since not only did this take nearly 3 months to resolve, I was lied to, and was ignored. He told me that there was nothing he could do. I have never been so frustrated with a business’s lack of professionalism and respect for their customers.
I have tried to be patient and understanding with all of this as I understand working in a customer facing position isn’t always easy or pleasant. However, I feel incredibly disrespected by how all of this was handled and to basically be told “Sorry we messed up” with no attempt to rectify the situation. If you are able to, I would recommend getting a car somewhere else because after having my car for over a month and test driving it to ensure the check engine light didn’t come back on they could even put some gas in the tank (my car was in empty when I left the lot).

Our salesperson, Gabe was very informative and friendly. He explained everything about the car and didn't pressure us. He helped us through every step of the process. We were very comfortable with him and the overall experience. If we ever need another vehicle, we will definitely come back!

Worst dealership ever please someone wants to go into this dealership read this review. I got hyundai accent from this people. Not even 6 months I have had so many issues. I'm international student even after knowing I'm outsider they cheated me. Please utah government should do something about this and not cheat anymore people in future. God save us from these evil people.

We had a fantastic experience getting a new car at Murdock Hyundai of Murray! Our salesman Scott worked hard and did not rest until we had a great deal on a new Palisade. He addressed every single one of our concerns and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted.
Everyone in the dealership made sure we were taken care of. We recommend Scott and this dealership highly.

This place was terrible! The service was horrible, the costs are outrageous and when the mechanic pulled my car up it wreaked of cigarettes. They tried to tell me that replacing my aux input was a critical procedure that would cost $450. Don’t waste your time or money with this place!

Purchased a brand new vehicle, the dealership was to keep the vehicle for the application of tint, clear bra, and ceramicoat. They sent it over to have the protection applied and the vehicle was backed up into a wall thus damaging the back end. We had to wait an extra 2.5 weeks to take delivery of the vehicle. Most that was offered was 300 dollars for my compensation of the hassle. Anything short of 1000 dollars for this is inadequate at best and a slap in the face. If I were to bring in a vehicle with obvious visable damage, they would offer me less by at least 1000. Basically got a brand new vehicle with used car damage. The windshield was supposed to have clear ceramic coating on it and it was missed. Had seat covers that we were wanting to take out of our trade in, and due to the lateness of the evening when we made the purchase, the sales man said he would take care of it the next day. He missed the front seat covers, and when we went to retrieve them, we found out that they were cut out rendering them useless. Still waiting for replacements. When we came to take delivery of the vehicle we discovered that the windshield coating was missed and there was a blemish on the front end. When I made a special trip to get the missed ceramic windshield coating and the blemish on the front fixed, the coating was installed but there was a fiber or something between the windshield and the coating so that will be yet another special trip to have that taken care of, but the front piece that was ordered, was never painted to match the origional. So basically made a wasted trip for nothing. I seriously have an extreme lack of faith in the dealership and the service department. I have made 2 purchases here and neither experience went well, so needless to say i will not be making a 3rd mistake or recomendations to anyone reguarding a purchase here.
It shouldn't take a month to buy a "used" vehicle, with multiple trips back to fix issues that shouldn't have been a problem to begin with, with garbage compensation.

Go to Ken Garff Hyundai! Sat around this place for 15 minutes before anybody recognized me. Then tell me there's no oil change packages available and it's $110 for one oil change. Yikes.

Big thanks to Scott in Sales and Daryl in Finance for helping me to realize a dream of mine. I’ve worked with Scott before and he is not only a fantastic salesman, but a genuinely wonderful person. Daryl was a huge help in making sure I didn’t get lost in all the unfortunate, but necessary paperwork. It never would have happened without the two of them. Couldn’t have been happier.

Absolutely worst service department ever. Took over two hours before even starting our oil change after our scheduled appointment. We showed up before our appointment even. Saw multiple people come in after us and leave before us. This has really changed our perception of this place. The employees in the service department were very short tempered when asking nicely about the status and why it was taking so long. This is the last time we buy a vehicle from this place Tim Dahle Mazda is where we will buy our next vehicle. We have always had good luck there. Think twice about supporting this business.
