Had an amazing experience today. I was looking for a suit for a wedding and kind of waited till the last minute. I believe it was the manager and another associate who helped me. Their customer service was great, as they went above and beyond to help me find what I was looking for, while on a price limit. Definitely would recommend to anyone that needs a suit, fancy clothing, or anything like that!

Ivan is a miracle worker!
My fiancé rented his wedding suit from a different store and when we went to pick it up 3 days before the wedding it looked awful.
We went from store to store trying to find a suit to fit him we could buy. No one could do anything for us. We walked into Jos. A Bank and Ivan was AMAZING!! Helping us find exactly what we needed and was even able to get it tailored in time for the wedding!
We were feeling a bit panicked and Ivan made everything better, he was amazing!! So professional and competent.

The manager helped me with a rental fitting today, and honestly, as a woman, it's always so weird going into a men's store for this sort of thing. I cannot tell you how incredibly understanding and kind the manager was for my fitting. Although this is a rental, I will be back for a suit or two in the future, it was that good of an experience.

I wish I had read all of the the reviews before spending money here. I went in to buy some dress shirts and a tuxedo shirt for use with my conducting tuxedo. I was approached right away by a helpful person who seemed like he could have been a manager. He gave great customer service and answered all my questions. Wonderful. Then after making my selections, I thought I would also buy a set of suspenders as well.
I asked another employee where the suspenders are and he led me to them. After telling me that they had suspenders with both clips and button loops, he pointed to one end of the suspenders display and said "these are the less expensive ones," and walked away. Now when I had the original question about suspenders I waited till employees were done helping others. I never heard one employee direct a customer to less expensive merchandise.
Like other negative reviews I read today, it seems that this establishment has a track record of either ignoring people of color or being condescending to them. One review from a person of color said that after struggling to get anyone's attention for help, two missionary type guys walked in and were greeted at the door and instantly helped. There were others who had similar experiences. I am a person of color, and besides my wife, I was the only person of color in the store. Its hard to believe after reading some of the other reviews that it was a coincidence that the only person of color in the store was the only one directed to the least expensive merchandise.
I was bothered by that, but not enough to cancel my purchases. When I got home, the brand new tuxedo shirt I bought, which came with studs and cufflinks was missing a cufflink. I would have tried the shirt on in the store, but I was measured and assured that I had picked out the right size, so I didn't think I would need to check it further than that.
I've called the store twice to voice my concerns over the missing item and the treatment I received in the store. Both times no one answered. I will not make a 40 minute drive back to the store until I can be assured that they have a cufflink to replace the missing one and that they have either heard the voice message I left, or read the response I typed to the survey they asked me to take.
I have little hope that anything significant will be done based off of the reviews I have read. It seem that all they do is either apologize and ask you to give them another chance to give you better service (roughly translated it means "We messed up badly. So please come back and spend more money at our store for a chance you might get better service"), or they give you a couple of cheap shirts for free. In the case of the free shirts, they will tell you that everything should be all good since you got free shirts. Either way, I see this as the last time I will purchase anything from Jos A. Bank.
The person helped me when I first went into the store would get 5 stars from me. That is why overall I give the store 2 stars. Without that person, it would have been 1 star.

Not the worker/man in the blue suit last saturday outright showed and told my husband where the least expensive suspenders were when hubby asked for some LOL. Discrimination, implicit, unexpressed/un/conscious biases shone thru. Owner and employees need training to get rid of implicit biases and attitudes. How in the world some people like this guy judge people of color as poor and cannot afford to buy expensive stuff let alone eat at a pricey restaurant? So disappointing in a place such as utah.

Avoid this place - terrible customer service. They assured me multiple times would have a suit ready in time for event. Went in for alterations as soon as they called me. Now they tell me they won't have it ready until past the event and only option was to pay a rush fee. I canceled my purchase. What a huge waste of time.

Just got woken by getting called three times in a row before my alarm even went off. Called three times before leaving a message. Clearly didn't listen to the name listed in my greeting, which also says not to harass me with multiple calls, and on top of that, I don't even live in freaking Utah. Check your numbers, check the name. Unprofessional at best. Very poor phone etiquette.

I usually don't write reviews but today is an exception. My fiance and I went to Jos A. Bank at 118 E Winchester Murray after 8 pm. They are closed at 9 pm. So, it wasn't too much time for looking a suit. My fiance and I will get married this Friday, on August 4th. We both work hard and are extremely busy. So, when we went there my fence wore work clothes (he works physically outside all day) and I didn't look better. Because we changed our wedding day and it is sooner then we planned before, we have a budget and we wanted to spend no more than $500 for a suite. So, when we went in, we went straight to the section "Clearance." We saw a man who came to us, I thought it was a customer at the beginning. However, it was a saler man named Mark. To be honest, I thought he would treat us like Men's Wearhouse at 2121 Highland Dr Salt Lake City yesterday. They were extremely rude and had too low customer service. What was a surprise to discover that Mark is the best saler! He definitely knows his job and he helped us to find everything we needed. Moreover, he answered all our questions and stayed a few minutes longer after 9 pm! We bought shoes, ties, socks, dress shirt, and suit for leass than $400! We definitely will come back again!
