Want to start off by saying that I have been to Beck’s shoes on multiple occasions and have had fantastic customer service. So much so that I went out of my way to go to Beck’s instead of going to walking comfort in Draper, which I knew had the same things that I needed.I called to make sure they had the shoe that I needed in the correct size and the correct color and the correct foot bed. I arrive and they’re busy. I have no problem waiting. I was not greeted by anyone. Someone came out from the back who was grabbing shoes and asked if anyone had help me. I let them know that I had not yet been helped. They said they’d help me in a moment again no problem waiting. After a fairly short wait maybe five minutes or so, they come over and ask if there’s something they can help me with. I told them the Birkenstock shoe I want giving the size, the foot bed, and the color that I’d like they say I’ll see what I have. He goes to the back, grabs the shoe and the correct color and the correct size but with the wrong footbed. When I ask him about this, he says that is the traditional foot bed, even though on the shoe and on the box, it says soft foot bed. I then ask if they have any of the traditional footbed (since I called and was told yes and someone checked), he said that is standard for what they have and walked away. As he walked away, he said I’ll look. Went to the back for a few moments not even enough time to look at a shoe came back and said that’s all and walked away.In previous experiences, the individuals who have helped us have offered to get it shipped from another location offered other suggestions and even showed at all that they cared. I would be very cautious about who you go and work with. The gentleman that is tall with gray hair and the lady that work there are both fantastic. The service I received from the lady last time is the only reason that I went back today instead of going to the place right by where I was. If you go and it’s the tall gentleman with dark hair come back a different time because you are not gonna get good service.

This place is a gem. Hard to find a store that gives such great advice on feet health for free. Sean was amazing. Highly knowledgeable. Helped get my son set up with orthotic inserts for his soccer cleats. So grateful. Would love to save him from future feet pain. Will definitely be back to get some stylish shoes for myself.

Best shoe store in Salt Lake ! I took my grandma here to get some comfortable orthopedic/vionic type shoes and ended up leaving with three different pairs and some ionic socks. Anthony had amazing customer service and was patient with us when finding the right shoe(s). My grandma tried on at least 15 different styles. He also made sure the shoe was a good fit and that my grandma was comfortable before letting us know about the sale. As to make sure the customer was getting a shoe for comfort, not because they were on sale. Great deals and even greater customer service. No place offers as much help as Becks anymore, all my grandma had to do was sit down and lift her leg while Anthony fitted the shoe to her liking using one of their nifty shoe-fitting stools. They also provide toe padding and shoe stretching for custom fit, so we will for sure be going back for our next pairs and recommend this place over any other shoe store in the valley.

Great local shoe store, but was not happy to learn that they mark up all the prices on their shoes. Purchased a pair of my favorite Olukai men’s shoes that are $140 everywhere else, including directly from Olukai, and they charged $147.99 for the same shoe (5+% markup). I totally get that they are a small shoes store and have tougher margins than large big box stores, but that type of markup doesn’t motivate me to “buy local”. Would love to see them earn their margins through service and loyalty rather than mark ups. Won’t likely shop here again unless I’m in a time crunch.

I have purchased several pairs of shoes from this store. I went in this time since I now have custom orthotics and wanted to get a pair of shoes that will accomodate and work with my orthotics. Sean was knowledgable, great at educating me, and PATIENT!!!!!

We drove past this place a couple of times and decided to check it out after seeing the sign that said "Feet Hurt?" They definitely give you a very personalized experience. Anthony greeted us when we arrived and helped us throughout our visit - he has a lot of knowledge about plantar fasciitis, feet and leg anatomy, different shoe companies and their strengths/weaknesses, and various techniques and products that are helpful when trying to heal from injured feet. They have a machine to do a scan/analysis of where you put the most weight on your feet when you stand. My girlfriend bought a good pair of walking shoes after trying on a couple of pairs and will definitely be going back when she is ready to get some new work shoes.

Great place! I’ve struggled with foot pain for about a year on and off and have felt hopeless recently. Went in to the Salt Lake location and Sean was amazing. He knew his stuff, made suggestions on strengthening my flat arches, and was kind. Thank you Becks Shoes!

We were referred by family friends and told to have our feet analyzed by the workers to find a shoe that works for our difficult feet. Sharon greeted us upon coming into the store, we told her why we were there. She guided us to analyze our feet. She explained our results and shared options available to what we wanted. We explained our concerns from past foot experiences and she addressed our concerns and explained why we had those foot experiences. I’d like to make a note that we have not considered foot guidance in shoe buying before until our family friends recommended this store since they have been going for years. They also explained it may seem expensive but from their view, it was well worth it. We spent over $300 for 2 pairs and personalized accessories. We were informed from our family friends, it’s normal. We are currently pleased with our purchase and have benefited from Beck’s store.

Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. We especially appreciate Anthony and Sean who helped us. Great shoes that fit our crazy feet and socks to help with circulation. We will be back.
