Bear River has been completely disappointing and ridiculous. As soon as we needed them for our car insurance they kicked us off without warning. As soon as we needed them for home insurance they literally quadrupled our rates. And we have been their customer for decades. Unbelievable. No thank you We're done. Would definitely not recommend this company to anyone.

Bear river is more than happy to take everyone’s money at every opportunity available but as soon as you need them they’re absolutely unwilling to help with what you've been paying them all this time to help you with. Just another greedy insurance company.

We have Bear River for home and auto. Every claim we have had, they have taken care of quickly and promptly. We have been given top dollar for two totaled cars. They make the claim process easy and seamless. Whenever I get quotes from other companies, Bear River is always the least expensive. I am editing my review because after having Bear River for 25 years on our homes, they have cancelled our policy. We had 4 repairs in the past 20 years, and yes, two were for different parts of the roof, and are expensive, but why do we pay for home owner’s insurance if not to get used. They also did not tell us the last claim would be a reason to cancel, or we would have tried to find another way to pay for it.

I recently had to work with Bear Mutual and it was not a great experience. I was told multiple times I’d hear back by a specific time and the agents never reached out, I had to follow up multiple times to get assistance and it was very frustrating. I also felt like I was being asked for information and it was not being shared with the adjustor as I had to send the information multiple times. I would not recommend Bear Mutual in the future.

Bear River is USELESS! My roof leaked a couple of years ago and now shingles blow off with every gust of wind. The roofing company tried to file a claim and even hired an Adjusting firm to help with negotiations. Nothing. Bear River would only allow $587, and since my deductible would be $1,000, they would pay NOTHING. They told me on the phone to just go to Ace hardware and do it myself. But they can cash the $900 bill that I pay in record time!

Very unprofessional company. Not sure how they are still in business to be honest. Totaled out a vehicle and never paid out. I would highly advise not to use this company for any insurance coverage.

I was told Bear River was hard to work with and fights to not pay claims. However, that was not my experience. I think that main complaint comes from those that aren't preferred roofers or contractors of Bear River, because Bear River does really prefer to work with their people they trust and can get good rates to do the work. Bear River just sends an adjuster (in this case for roof damage), and they made a reasonable and appropriate assessment, and they were quick to get the work covered and done. I'll stay with Bear River for a long long time from this experience.

I needed tonight a roadside service and nobody answer the phone of the roadside assistance 2 years paying my car insurance and when I need it for a flat tire nobody respond the numbers that you gave for this kind of situation and now I need to leave my car with the risk was towed and I need to call someone who came for me ..

Very disappointed in Bear River. I previously have always had a great experience with Bear River, great rates and whenever I needed to file a claim they were very responsive and helpful, including a major car accent in 2012. I had Bear River for my car insurance since I could drive, for 25 years. And have had them for my homeowners since I first purchased a home 11 years ago. Now because I had to file 2 claims on my homeowners policy (both minor) they will not renew my policy. And because my home and auto are bundled, I will be moving both policies. I used to recommend Bear River to everyone who asked where I had insurance. No longer. Very disappointed in them.

Currently going through a claim and cannot get my adjuster to contact me back... been trying for months. Even made a physical appearance at his office and talked to his boss and still nothing. Next step is a lawyer I guess? Maybe someone will see this and contact me. Worst professional Experience I have ever had....
