It was a great bookstore! I found 2 books, a few bookmarks and a card game. I also accidentally bought the latest book in a series instead of the first book (when I looked inside the book at the series list, it went backwards), and exchanging it was a piece of cake. Everyone was super friendly!

A well curated selection of good books for all ages and interests. Also, a wide-variety of really good area maps for every enthusiast. Good YA and kids fiction selection. Plus, Ed Abbey's desk and really cool variety of first-editions from many social scientists, like Frank Dobie.

We loved shopping here! Lots of variety of books, stickers and other book-related things. Inclusive, diverse and friendly! We would have bought so much more if we could fit it into our luggage!! ?❤️ best little bookstore I’ve ever experienced- wish we could pick the entire store up and take it home with us so we could visit any time ?

Back of Beyond Book Store is one of those neat hidden gems in Moab. There is a great selection and variety of books as well as maps, bookmarks, stickers and other cool items. I highly recommend stopping in this awesome bookstore on visits to Moab!

Best bookstore I’ve ever been to. Great atmosphere, cheerful employees, AWESOME book selection, and stunning vintage corner! The piano was so cute as well. Prices were good too. I dragged my boyfriend in after I visited and he ended up purchasing more than I did. Highly recommend

Nice to see a well stocked book store right in the downtown with hours till 9pm so you can shop after your day out. Lots of interesting books in their collection from local authors, geologists and many Western theme books among so many more.

Brilliant little unexpected gem to find in a tourist-heavy town! Some very cool radical art pieces/pins/stickers and books.
The environmental section is fantastic and the vibes are honestly immaculate.

Outside of some of the famous US national parks are small towns with good independent bookstores. Lee Vining, Gatlinburg, Front Royal, Bar Harbor, West Yellowstone and Estes Park come to mind. In the gateway city of Moab Utah (Arches and Canyonlands NP) is an exceptional local bookstore, Back of Beyond Books. Over our 5 days stay in Moab we made 3 trips to this store on the main street. All three times booksellers (not cashiers) were able to help us find over 15 books that were related to the locality and fun fiction suggestions. On the 3rd visit, some new used books related to local events had arrived and we found a NPS related used book on Mission 66 I had been looking for a decade. Back of Beyond is one of those exceptional independents. They also have significant author signings over a year and newly published books. thanks for your dedication.
