Maria was my favorite therapist, but unfortunately, she is no longer here. While the service isn’t awful, the corporate atmosphere really detracts from the experience. I prefer either a small local spot or a full, proper spa—this in-between corporate setup just doesn’t work for me. Recently, they restructured their membership program, significantly devaluing the points we had earned. My husband went from nearly 5 free massages down to just 1. Despite reaching out, corporate hasn’t responded, and the spa staff couldn’t assist because it wasn’t the location where he originally signed up. That was the final straw, and we decided to cancel our membership.”

When I entered I was greeted with the most bubbly receptionist, given a neck warmer (literally a game changer)!!! And then shortly after my therapist Taei brought me back to the room. I tried a cupping enhancement due to sore muscles from working out a lot and I’ve never felt a release like that in my life. I normally prefer a female therapist but Taei changed my whole perspective. I signed up for the membership after leaving because wow !! Can’t wait for my next appointment:)

I called for the "daily specials" and they are only for members only and it doesn't say anywhere on the promotion that its for members only then when I talked to someone they tried to upsell me immediately. Pretty sneaky tactic to get walk ins so call first and expect the price to be at least double for anything you are thinking of.

What Can I say!!!
I'm all about Self Care. I have been treating myself to Massages for over a decade now. I have had Massages in Hawaii. In fact, I will typically book a massage anytime I travel. That being said, and the point of what I am trying to make is this. Not all massages are the same. I would just roll the Dice and pick the most convenient spot available. Then, Magic happened. I stumbled across Hand and Stone, booked my appointment, and my life has been better ever since. I would love to give my massage therapist Natalie at the Midvale location a huge shout out. This professional massage therapist introduced me to what I should have been expecting from a massage all along. Trust me when I say this because I have had some pretty amazing massages over the years. Natalie at Hand and Stone amazes me every time I stop in for a little R&R. Her Style is Very Unique and Taylored specifically to the individual needs. Needles to say, I signed up to be a member immediately and have returned time and time again. I live 3 hours away and have some local therapists here, but the prices are outrageous, and frankly, the quality of massages just does not stack up. With my schedule being so up in the air, I have yet to have an issue making appointments with them. I have had to occasionally book separate therapists, and although their styles and techniques are different, I can promise the next level care that is provided will keep you coming back for more. As long as I continue to receive that level of care, they have locked down a repeat customer for as long as I'm able to make it there. Amazing Energy from the Staff. You literally will have your energy shifted when you walk out the door. Truly is Magic. I hope that if you are considering a place to take care of all of your self care needs, you do yourself a favor and let these amazingly talented professionals at Hand and Stone Massage fulfill those needs. I had a prenatal massage with Maria at Hand and Stone Midvale. She was amazing. My shoulders and upper back were really sore going in and I left feeling so much better. She is very knowledgeable about prenatal massage safety. She is kind and professional. I will definitely book with her again soon!

Gifted Massage Therapists and serene setting. Very professional but pushy when It came to up selling their memberships and I felt pressured to sign up. I would go back, if they left it up to the clients to ask about the membership options that are plastered all throughout their locations.

Such great experiences a Hand & Stone! Aimee recommended the Diamond Glow Facial, and I LOVE the results! All of the massage therapists are incredible! Shout out to Xena and Natalie for their incredible service. I always walk out feeling relaxed and refreshed!

Maria was my massage therapist and she was amazing!! Super friendly and totally understood where my problem areas where and made me feel amazing when she was done. I really liked her so much that I signed up for the membership. Definitely ask for her if you want an amazing massage!!

It's been over twelve years since my last facial. I was hesitant to do it again as I told myself never again after a horrible experience. Aimee did an excellent job, and I'm already planning the next one. The facial was followed up with an equally good massage session by Vanessa. Thank you girls!!

Very disappointed, don’t recommend.
I’ve been getting massages for years, but this has been by far one of my worst experiences.
I basically paid a lot of money for someone just to touch and lather me up with oil.
They will ask what are your problem areas you’d like for them to focus on, but they will spend little time in those areas and do what they wish.. which is just to lather you up and call it good.
I also don’t think they’re trained in specific massage styles, they only know one technique.. and you guessed it.. touch and lather you up.
I fell asleep cause I was basically laying in a dark room and could barely feel anything.
My boyfriend was in the next room getting a massage and he had a worse experience than I did.
He ended up walking out of there worse than when he walked in.
His masseuse caused a pinch nerve, imagine paying $160 for a nap and someone to give you a pinched nerve.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention, we didn’t even get a full hour! We came early, they got us in late, we got out early.
We only went in for the convenience, but quality is definitely more important than convenience and this place has only one of those.
I can’t believe I even left a tip, but curse me and my midwestern ways.
Save your money, go to an independent therapist.

My massage therapist and receptionist: 10/10.General spa vibes: 3/10Won't Return.Overall, my experience here was fine. I got the introductory price of $90, and for that, it was worth it. My massage therapist was really really great. The receptionist was also great. I did not love the building or spa itself. I'd probably return if it was always $80 or so, but for the normal price it's totally not worth it. For their normal prices you can go to an actual day spa like the Kura Door and have a real spa experience with a steam room, sauna, tea and treats. Hand and Stone is charging spa prices for simple massage vibes. Don't get me wrong, the interior is NOT gross or unclean or anything. It was very clean inside. It just has corporate office vibes instead of spa vibes. Another thing I didn't love was the huge sales push at the end of my massage to buy one of their monthly deals. It wasn't the receptionist fault, she was great. It's just obvious she has been trained to push people really hard to sign up for one of their monthly rates. I get it, its a business and they're trying to make money. But its just so annoying to have them try and sell you so hard on stuff.Overall, if you can get the introductory price, fine. Maybe worth one massage. But only because my therapist was so great. The company itself is un-impressive.
