The front desk is no help. I parked at a meter that was broke, and I still put quarters in and paid for the spot. I showed up an hour later after class and they gave me a ticket, I tried to explain that the meter was broke and they said because I didn’t call right away (which was never explained till I showed up) they couldn’t appeal my ticket. This was all during finals week, so kind of a joke that they still made me pay $25 for showing up an hour late to explain the situation, kind of seemed like they needed the $25 more than I did. They must feel real accomplished of themselves taking money from broke college students. They hand out tickets like candy, no wonder they got a 2 star rating. Should be 1 star.

Really unkind even though I went in politely and not mad. I work 4 am at USU cleaning and parked in an area that advertised ticketing 8 am- 5 pm if you don’t have a permit. Nowhere other than fine print and online rules “because they don’t advertise even fine detail” does a sign say it is also ticketed from 12 am-8 am.I was ticketed in hours it advertised there was no ticketing. I asked for an appeal this time until I could afford to by an overnight pass so I don’t have to walk alone at 3:30 am, but they just shamed me for past tickets (I had in a different area and paid). They also were very harsh in their speech. I had to leave because I was going to cry. Reflection should be done in their customer service because this is unacceptable behavior.Training should be done in working with people. Again I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I did not get frustrated with them at all. They need to remember they work with humans and not everyone has the financial stability to buy a parking pass for part time work at 4 am. I was going to figure out a different place to park I just simply asked for an appeal.

Truly good people and a good office, but people get angry about parking. They deal with the worst of people.

If you are looking to be late to class everyday, wait for the busses! If not, walk! I get to the bus stop 45 minutes before my classes start ro ride the orange bus and it says it doesn't stop at oakridge. All signage and apps say that it doesn't stop at oakridge. So I am frustrated to find that it blows by blue square full sometimes because either just stopped and picked up everyone from oakridge. I live closer to oakridge and if I knew it was gonna do that I would have waited there! Please update signage or inform your drivers so we are not late to every class!

Absolutely terrible. Have signs all over campus switching locations of places to pick up passes. Terrible organization. And parking is terrible even if you have a pass, you will end up having to park somewhere else because they sell too many passes.

Some of the rudest and unfair people ever. Definitely felt like they broke a law to fine me for "playing a game".Edit: I hate you guys, quit your jobs and do something else

The girls that work here are friendly. Operating hours are good, so we can make it after work

Parking is a little pricey, but it's worth it for the perks. If you're stuck in snow they will help you dig your car out. This year we have had an extreme amount of snowfall! It's worth it because this is a very safe campus, with lots of security, so it's also paying for all the perks we don't see every day. It gets expensive to park in more than one place on campus, and they have a lovely bus route during school days.Definitely loving it here at Utah state!

Unpleasant to work with and unhelpful. If you communicate with them, be aware they will not be upfront with you in response to your requests and will withhold important information. I can’t speak for every employee of the department, but the director was particularly demeaning and unprofessional in our communication.

Parking is extremely overpriced considering how much we pay for tuition and their enforcement is ridiculous. You can get ticketed for being in the lot you have a permit for if they decide that event parking takes priority over the spot that you paid for! The pricing scale for permits is absurd and makes no sense.Edit as of 2022: They have significantly cut shuttle service making it much harder to get around. Even if you buy a permit odds are you'll be late after waiting 20 minutes for a shuttle to arrive. Routes that used to have two buses (Red, Green, Platinum) now only have one.

It's hard to find a parking space around USU.

Parking advice for all students: The people complaining about parking and transportation on here clearly just don't understand how parking works at USU. If you park somewhere you can't, you will get a ticket very quickly; that's a reality at any college. So just don't park where you're not allowed to. If you want to buy a permit, you can buy a yellow or blue permit. Blue permits have better parking lots, but they fill up fast so you have to get there early. If the blue lots fill up, a blue permit will allow you to park in a yellow lot as well. The yellow permit is what I'd recommend. You can park in one of those lots and just take the Aggie Shuttle. There's yellow parking lots by stops for the Stadium, North Core, South Campus, 8th East, and Innovation Bus Routes. Just download the Aggie Shuttle app from the app store to see where the busses are in real time and where the routes go. If you don't want to pay for a permit at all, you can park at the Aztec Stake Center for free (just don't stay overnight or you'll be ticketed) and then walk over to Oakridge and take the 8th East Aggie Shuttle bus to get to campus.

Every time I've been here (3 times so far) the process has been quick and painless. There's been no hassle for getting parking permits for my car or for guests. The only thing is really change at that office would be some of the hours, as there's little wiggle room I'd you're working during the day.

USU Parking is a joke. It’s nearly impossible to park anywhere on campus without a pass, and the bus system is unreliable enough that your only choice is walking. There isn’t enough parking near the housing so if you have a car you have to park far away and do a lot of walking. If you live off campus, good luck. Parking passes are extremely expensive considering how much students at the school are already required to pay in tuition, books, and class fees, and the price for parking passes keeps going up. My least favorite thing about USU is the parking.
