This was some of the best quality customer service I have ever seen. We had to purchase a door that was a replica. Not only was I sent to the right person, I was able to communicate with him directly on the size and dimensions. He had my order completed within the hour. Not to mention, he emailed me and called! Communication was on point!

Burton lumber has been the biggest disappointment in a Supplier that I have ever dealt with.we gave the go ahead for our lumber package in January. they never ordered our lumber package for our house and when we follow followed up with him about it in February our price had doubled and then they told us they couldn't sell our lumber to us we had also ordered our trusses through them in January and once we found out that we couldn't get our lumber we asked them to move our trust's back Until the 1st week of August now they won't sell us our trusses, Even though they committed to August, Because they don't get the full lumber package anymore

Was a fan for a while and recently the customer service and professionalism has gone down hill. We received a quote for a deck we are building had to explain to them why their quote was wrong. They didn’t put one piece of pressure treated lumber on it for a deck! They fixed the quote. We gave them a list of what we needed and told them the size. They ordered everything for it based on the number of support posts and size. We have twice as many post supports as needed. We told them our deck was 440sqft and they sold us trex for a 200sqft deck. Not one apology or any sign they were going to try and make it right. They said it was our fault for not checking their math. So our quote went from $9500 to almost $14,000. Not planning to come back.

I give them 0 stars. Their customer service is a joke. I have called, emailed, and searched their whole website trying to get some more doors from them for our basement since our builder used them. I finally went in to be told they can’t help me because I didn’t have the measurements of my door frames. Something I wish they would have told me I needed when I contacted them before. I drive 40 minutes home and back with measurements to be told that they can’t help me because they are too busy. I will not recommend them to anyone nor will I give them my business.

I would give 0 stars. A delivery driver would not go around a mom dropping her kids off at the bus stop. He rudely laid on the horn and insisted that she move instead of just going around her. Then he tore down the road way to fast with grade school kids present. On each block he passed. Horrible representation of a company.

We have used Burton for the building of both of our houses. The first house 15 years ago was great, different sales/office staff though. This latest one was a terrible experience and we won’t use them again! We got 3 deliveries we had to send back because the lumber was COVERED IN MOLD!!! Fuzzy mold, on the surface, even on pressure treated lumber! Not just dark specks inside the wood grain. We rejected 3 loads, and they said they would just turn around and sell it to a builder who wasn’t so picky! Call me picky but I won’t put moldy wood into my house, that’s just asking for trouble! If you choose to use them, Triple check your takeoff!!! They missed including lumber, doors, and the trim for finishing our basement even though it was in writing multiple times requesting it be included for the loan. It Totally screwed us over! Heidi was unpleasant to work with, she never smiled, was super cranky and acted annoyed every time we went in to pick something up. She had the same demeanor with every customer she talked to while we were there as well, so it wasn’t just us. Rick will flat out lie to you. He’s a salesman. He will say what he needs to get the sale and then turn around and deny he ever said it. He did it to us twice. I will take my business elsewhere even if I have to pay a little more next time. On a side note, get a quote from Sierra Truss for your trusses!! They were awesome to work with, did a great job and they saved us $8,000 over Burtons truss quote! Home Depot will match or beat any Burton lumber prices as well. You can do better!

Burton Lumber is a joke. They delivered us way more lumber than we needed. I provided them with the proper material list and they still got it wrong. We were assured that they would get us our lumber as to not hold up the framer and then make it right. We had to take the lumber back, they never would come get it. Then charged us a restocking fee per board. Customer service is nonexistent here.

It is really sad that if you want to support a local business and have lumber needs that exceed that of the junk at Lowes and Home Depot, you have to be made to feel like crap. I have shopped at Burton when I have to over the past decade. I have had a few helpful encounters, but the majority of the time Burton makes it abundantly clear, if you are not a contractor you are no one. They cater to contractors and if you read most of the positive reviews, they are from contractors. Many of my friends are contractors. I get it, weekend warriors and consumers can be a PITA and you'd rather we just go to Home Depot. However, we pay more than the contractors do, and we are customers. You should not treat us like second class citizens. This place needs a serious attitude adjustment. AWFUL customer service. If you pick through the pile, you can get good lumber. I've had pretty awful quality stuff on what you have them deliver and they pick out (even on #1 stuff).

I'm not impressed with customer service or customer friendliness. I seriously get along with just about everyone but I've never been talked down to or condescend to as I have with the people at the customer desk at Burton Lumber. If you're a regular citizen forget about this place. They have more important things to do.
