"With the BlueRim Edge Network you'll have access to the fastest internet connection speeds in the world, from the comfort of your apartment or condo. Using a high speed fiber optic connection you can stream Netflix, play video games online, watch youtube and more all without any buffering or loading. Long gone are the days where only one person in the apartment could stream at a time. With high speed fiber optic internet from BlueRim families can stream multiple shows across all of their favorite devices at once."Being forced to use BlueRim networks the past year and a half has been the most painful internet experience of my entire life. They are the only ISP I have ever seen that forces a monopoly on apartment complexes and then provides terrible service. Get ready for outages, intermittent speeds, logging into a portal every time you come back home, weekly 15+ email chains with customer support, blocked ports, and failed maintenance. If you own a Nintendo Switch, you just won't be able to connect to the internet, ever. If you don't like it, chances are you can't switch to another ISP because your apartment management won't let you.I come to read the reviews here (and add to my own) for entertainment whenever I get fed up with not being able to video call, stream, play games, or use canvas properly. They have so many ports blocked and insist on using a NAT type so strict that online games are a joke, and have been for the better part of a year. All my roommate and I want is to be able to play a game with family or friends online a few times a week and it's just too much to ask of BlueRim. They've tried to fix the latency and packet loss issues several times in the past year and it never makes any difference, nor have I ever seen anyone from their company near my complex. They haven't had a timetable on the next fix for the last month, and don't have one as of writing. My guess as to the only way they are able to stay in business is by making deals with building owners and forcing everyone in the complex to use their service. In my complex a basic 10MB package is free (lightning fast if the year was still 2004), but you can pay extra for higher speeds. They're getting their main paycheck from the complex whether you give them extra money or not, and the management is happy to lure people to move in with the offer of free internet, so BlueRim is probably happy to make these deals and don't have any reason to provide any kind of decent service. The only reason they don't have 1 star is because after every customer service interaction they ask you to leave a 5 star review and people who think BlueRim "fixed" their problem comply, when most likely it was BlueRim's ridiculous practices that caused your problem in the first place. I'm convinced that half of the 5 star reviews that are written professionally are from BlueRim employees themselves.

For only $50 a month T-Mobile gives me anywhere from 2-12x download speeds for about the same price as your service, and I can walk into a store and talk with someone who will actually help me if I have a problem. Before the buyout, BlueRim had phenomenal tech support, which was the ONLY reason I put up with your outrageous prices. Not anymore.I'm pretty sure my landlord is dumping you guys too. Get your act together.

I have called about 3 times a day for the last week and could not get hold of customer service. I was on hold for over an hour each of these times and finally hung up. I texted their number and no one responded. Horrible service!!!!!!!!

Absolutely awful service. I will be moving to an apartment complex without blue rim. If I don't have network back soon I'm just going to drive up there and get some help in person

Service Outage has happened twice in 2022 alone, and outages lasts over 48 hours, Not pleased with my monthly investment to a provider who has no climate protection during strong weather, I’m switching services soon, I can pay the same amount to the competitor…… ??????????

Blue Rim Networks is without a doubt the worst internet service provider in Utah. Century Link is the holy grail compared to this service. There are outages that last multiple hours just about every other week. You need to add every single device in the household manually to the network by entering in the device's MAC address. Nobody else does this, most ISPS just have you connect the device to the network via password. Not only is the connection unstable but the speeds are slow for the price you are paying. It is about $60 for 200 Mbps speeds and an additional $10 if you want to be able to play multiplayer video games on your network. In my experience, only about 100-150 mbps are achievable even when using a 3 foot CAT 5 ethernet cable, which is insane. Do not even get me started on the WIFI quality. Even if your device is right next to the router you will have a weak two bar connection. The WIFI strength throughout the residence is incredibly weak and you could get a stronger signal if you were standing across the street from a McDonalds with free WIFI.Overall, never get Blue Rim Networks, and if your apartment complex uses it, goodluck.

Very sub par internet service. Like most of the people who already mentioned in comments. We had to go with this provider only because the community we live. What sort of an ISP has outage for more than 14 hours ? We lost internet last night around 11 PM its 1 PM and we still don’t have an ETA for service restoration.

The internet system at my apartments is trash. I had to call customer service to connect every device that we have. It's super lame. Once you are connected the service is ok.

We use Blue Rim because that is what our complex uses. It has been a bad experience since we moved in. I have to reconnect to the wifi every time I come home, sometimes multiple times. Depending on people's providers, a lot of our friends get better internet just using the data on their phones. The process for connecting new devices is a hassle. It does not work for playing games online, even with the highest available option. We got one of those digital picture frames, it will not work with our wifi. All around would not recommend.

If you have an option, don’t get your Wifi from Blue Rim. It’s soooo spotty. They’re free Wifi is pretty bad and if you want to get better you have to pay more. I’m a student so I can’t afford to pay the extra amount for better wifi so I have to reply on the free version. It’s always cutting in and out, if you have an option don’t sign up with them.

After about 3 months of trying to get my ring camera to connect to the internet with customer service I’ve come to the conclusion I will never connect my ring while living here and being stuck on this internet. I get an entirely new ring to show that it wasn’t a Ring issue, only for them to tell me to try calling ring again because they can’t figure it out. On top of the fact that Ariel Gibson did something to my account so it wouldn’t even let me connect to the ring network to attempt to connect it again. She said she would fix it back but I honestly can’t tell. She then went on to tell me “ We don't guarantee device connectivity of every type on our network unfortunately.” Which is a very interesting comment to make when your company markets itself to have unmatched connectivity. I wouldn’t recommend this internet because they have no idea how to troubleshoot anything, they are frequently at the property doing maintenance and interrupting service for nothing to change.

Get used to having your internet be substandard and overpriced. Beware of apartments complexes that will require you to bundle this garbage internet provider for $100/month for 50mb (more like 25 when it works). For an additional fee you can bump it up to "100mb". Customer service is horrendous as well, been sitting on the line for almost an hour listening to their cheap sound tracks.

The wifi is slow and really unreliable. They also want to charge you an extra $10 a month just to make your NAT type open instead of strict. So don’t plan on having good connection or being able to play online games.

HORRIBLE network.. they charge a whopping sum each month and still don't provide good service. In a month we lose connectivity atleast twice. I would never recommend it. If we are not forced to use this network, I would have switched long back.
