PODS is BEST but they charge full month rent even if you do not want them to keep your items in the werehouse i just kept for 2 - 3 days that too due to their policy and did not want to keep it in werehouse still they charge me 1 month rent which seems to be unfair other than that i loved PODS

DO NOT USE PODS! I would NEVER recommend this service to anyone! We moved across the country thinking everything was going smooth until it got to our final destination! First off our driver put in the pod backwards towards the fence so we had a very tiny space to move very large pieces of furniture. Then to our dismay and such dissatisfaction, we opened our pod to find that the majority of our things were broken into pieces! Our larger pieces of furniture looked like someone had taken a sledgehammer to them. I made an immediate claim that same day and didn’t hear back from them for almost 4 months just to be told that there was nothing they could do for us! At one point a customer service rep admitted to us that our pod had been dropped, yet they continued to tell us that it was our fault. There customer service is horrible, they don’t return phone calls or e-mail and have zero integrity in there services! Please, please DO NOT USE PODS!

Positives: first delivery was smooth.Negatives: I couldn’t make changes online and needed to call in, making a lack of accountability for what the pods associate was telling me. I had one person tell me they wouldn’t quote me in writing, so I had to call in. After calling them, I had to request a copy of the quote in writing multiple times, finally I got it by making a separate call; however, they still overcharged me and I have yet to receive a reply to my request for a refund on the overcharge. The door didn’t work properly and the final pickup happened a day later than they quoted me.If they were transparent and honest, I’d give them more stars.

Do not rely on these guys for anything. They will screw you and your moving plans over more than you could imagine. I made the seemingly simple request to have them drop the pod off in my front driveway as far left as possible to enable continuous use of my garage (as street parking isn't permitted) the driver never reached out and he just dropped it right in the middle of my driveway rendering my garage useless and my car waiting to be towed. Once I reached out regarding my concerns the manager was disgusting towards me and was screaming and yelling trying to tell me I was wrong. He claimed there was a waiver I needed to sign which was never presented or mentioned at any point all, which would've allowed them to follow my instructions. I told him I would happily sign the waiver and have them move the pod over where it needed to be and his response was that he was just going to come pick it up the next morning and void the contract fully screwing me over. Disgusting service and behavior from that guy.

All aspects of the PODS experience and communications were great. I got 1 old POD out of 3 I rented and that caused some brief frustrations at one point, but overall, it's a 5-star service imo.

Never, ever use PODS. My sister used them to help her move states. They delivered her POD early and put it in a place that was impossible for her to access her belongings. They left it in front of a hedge with less than a foot of access between the POD and the hedge. When she called to get them to fix it, they gave her the run around and said it would be nearly a week before anyone could come and fix it. After she got them to agree to send someone sooner, they locked her out of her account. I have advised her to back charge everything and tell her bank to block any attempts to run her card. A company that is petty enough to lock out a customer who was trying to get them to fix their mistake is a company that should be run out of business.Edit: Added Photo.Thank you for your prompt response, but this should have never happened in the first place, so the review will remain.

My experience with PODs this summer was horrific. They dropped off the empty pod on time and we agreed and scheduled a pick up date. On the pickup day they failed to arrive to pickup and didn't notify me. They said they had difficulty and it would be another 18 days to pick up. I was selling my house the next day and couldn't accept that. After many calls they agreed to pick it up late that night. But they never showed up...again. I was in danger of not being able to sell my house so I called and cancelled. They opened a dispute and asked me to keep receipts. I rented a UHaul and transferred all my goods and drove the 37 hours to Utah myself. They gave me a refund but refused to pay for the UHaul, gas, tolls,hotels, my time, etc. They have been terrible to deal with. They completely failed to do what I paid them to do and said I should be happy with the refund but they aren't covering any of the other costs I incurred because of their failure. I will never rely on PODs again. You shouldn't either.

DO NOT USE PODS! This company sent our belongings a month early for our move across country , after clearly telling us that we still had time to fill our pod before they sent it. We requested help to send the rest of our stuff (we had multiple large items that needed to go there) they haven’t been helpful AT ALL. They told us they’re working on our case and that someone else will call, nothing. We called every day before our move, then had to ship our other items separately at FedEx at a huge cost because we had to get it there somehow. (Which defeated the whole purpose of getting the pod in the first place). It’s been an absolute nightmare. They do not care about their customers.

Pods was overpriced and very rigid and inflexible. My plans changed and I needed to change my service from Pods, but they refused. Also, I shouldn't have to wait on hold for more than 2 hours just to talk to a person. That's ridiculous.

I would never use this company ever again. My original quote was 297 for everything I needed. I ended up needing to extend my storage by only 2 weeks and in total I paid PODS over $800. They would just continue to charge my card and customer service was a nightmare to deal with. Nothing was ever clear and some charges they couldn't find, I would never have used them had I known I'd be charged so much. It's absolutely not worth the headache this has been. I would recommend just getting movers or a uhaul, you'll save do much and not have to deal with a company charging your credit card every few weeks

I lost money and items when I used a professional mover. They are nothing but crooks. With pods I knew my.items would be safe and delivered on time at half the price. Great value and great people to work with.

As a long time military professional, I've done a lot of DIY moves, usually with one or more rental trucks. This particular move, we used PODS because we needed some time between selling our house and finding/buying another half way across the country. The PODS process gave us a lot of flexibility that other methods didn't. The company was very easy to work with and I loved having the container on sight for however many days I chose, on both sides of the move. With today's gas prices, the shipping of the container was a lot more than I expected, but it was WAY less than having a professional mover do it, and appeared to be less than if we had rented multiple U-haul type vehicles. Overall, this was the most convenient, cost effective method for our move, and PODS was terrific to work with from a convenience and customer service perspective. No complaints whatsoever.

DO NOT USE FOR MOVING NEEDS!!! I recently tried to use PODS for a move several states away and called well in advance to schedule delivery and pickup. The salesman I spoke with would not let me schedule things out and stated all I had to do to is call and they'd pick up and deliver the next day. NOT TRUE. I had to cancel the final two pods and purchase a Uhaul. Then they tried to deliver the pods that I had canceled anyway after I had already moved out of the house and refused to pick up the pods on the promised date and moved that further out. They also charged my credit card for the additional pods I had canceled and refused to refund. When I asked to speak with a supervisor they told me it'd be 3-5 business days. Lies upon lies and stealing peoples money. This business is such a joke. Do not use, especially if you're military like me.
