We went to HD to buy a new grill. There were a few HD employees stocking shelves next to the grills but none asked if they could help us. Finally found someone that would talk to us and of course that is not his department BUT he would find someone. Another person came up and told us what to do. Took a picture of the item # and off we went to the service desk. Waited about 20 min in line for our turn to order and pay for grill. ( We get that there are not enough people to do the work load anymore)Once it was our turn the sales associate said the grill was free assembly or free delivery not both free. We told her the sign by the grills clearly states free assembly and free delivery for grills over $400. The sales associate called her boss over and the boss told us the same thing------ free assembly or free delivery. My husband took the boss over to the sign and pointed to the word AND. Anyway after about an hour we had ordered our new grill. ( At this point I would have given HD a 4 out of 5 stars). It was supposed to be delivered the next day but there was a mix up and they called my husband soooo no problem. Two days later we are waiting for the phone call that HD are close to delivering the grill. Imagine our surprise that my husband gets a text saying grill delivered. We check outside and sure enough there is our grill. No knock at door or doorbell. Communication was somewhat good but why can't the delivery person take a couple more steps to ring the doorbell. Totally Ridiculous

My husband and I bought a 9.5ft werewolf for next Halloween. We did curbside pickup and it was a great experience. Matt came out to chat with us about our order and brought us a complimentary water. He got it loaded up in the back of our suv and we took it home.We decided to put it together in the living room to make sure we have all the pieces and that everything works properly. To our surprise, our werewolf has two left arms. We reached out to Home Depot in hopes that they could send us a right arm. Unfortunately, they didn't have any in stock, but said they ship one out once they had them.On 11/23 they said they had a right arm and would ship it out shortly. Weeks passed, so we reached out for an update. That's when they said they were focusing on holiday requests and would eventually get our arm shipped out. Just a few minutes after that email, they emailed again and practically told us to get a refund (and return the werewolf).I'm really disappointed in Home Depot's customer service and the way they are handling this issue. I'm also disappointed with the distributor they are using. We will be sure to take our business elsewhere from here on out.

Last week HD rented me a small backhoe with no coolant in it, I ran it until it stopped working! (They had neglected to take 8' backhoe out of service) Today I went back to rent a backhoe again, hoping they had one that was working and they guy at the counter said both the 6' and 8' backhoes were still down for service...as I'm driving off the guy is hooking up the 6' backhoe that he just told me was still broken....

I purchased a 40 volt Ryobi weed whacker. The twine broke off and I had to take apart the head to access the broken off twine. I could not lock the head back on. I took it to the tool rental and a gentleman helped me lock it back in. I have rented equipment in the past and always excellent service. 5 star service.

Went to the Home Depot in Layton for a new refrigerator, microwave and stove. The appliances are great and sales associates were helpful, however had the worst experience with delivery. The delivery guy made me cry and refused to take away our old fridge or set it up the new refrigerator to the water line. When I told the sales associate they apologized and said they are supposed to set that all up for us. They then told me how they get complaints about the delivery service constantly but they can do nothing about it.

Hey I want to give a shout out to you guys today. We bought a dishwasher and paid for an install as well as to haul the old one away. When it was delivered today it was discovered that the water valve was broken and couldn’t be turned off. I can’t believe we were told you’d return with a plumber to fix the issue and then install the dishwasher. I never dreamed you’d take care of a problem that wasn’t your fault. So glad we decided to purchase the appliance from you!

Since the launch of the Home Depot app, my experience at this location has improved. I'm now able to quickly find what I am looking for. It is difficult to find an employee to help but between the app and the self-checkout machines, I don't need to interact with the employees at this location.Through the pandemic, this location has done a good job at keeping shelves stocked and in usually about to find what I need. Any missing items I chalk up to the pandemics impact to the supply chain. The location is convenient being on Main Street and having a side street that connects Home Depot with Walmart and other shopping.
