On the books, CEO Goodwill Industries 630,000.00 Annual Salary. The days of this business doing right for people in need are as long gone as the greatest generation. So go donate your dead wife's gold jewelry but know your not helping anyone but some business men pad their pockets.

I will never donate here in Layton! The items I tried to buy only had the DI price tag of $4 from the store next door, not the Goodwill price tag. When I asked the cashier if it was $4, she called over a male manager. He said, um, $9.99. I said, what? But it was originally $4? He said it wasn't our price. It's a rip-off! Of course I didn't buy it! Even though I donate a lot of good things here, it's so expensive when I go shopping! Goodbye Goodwill!!!!!

I went into this store and it was very well organized, and clean! I have been to stores with the same concept, and they were terrible! Also this store had an amazing selection and great great customer service!!

What thrift store has changing rooms they don't let people use to try things on? This one. You can look at clothes, but there's no where to try them on to see if they fit because they've closed all the fitting rooms
Edit: Well, isn't that lovely! I have to pay you to find out if something fits, and if it doesn't fit you still get my money! That's very convenient and not at all problematic for the people who rely on this store for second hand necessities because they can't always get things new

I left a review with the BBB as well with more details. Employees are very dishonest and if you’re checking out and think something is worth money they will refuse to sale it to you even after it’s priced and out on a shelf. Totally heart broken about how I was treated by the employees. If they had looked up how much the item I was trying to buy they would’ve seen it was about 15-30$ because it was not functional. They wouldn’t even let me wait for it to be “repriced” saying it would be unfair to other customers? Just really sad about how they treated me because they thought something was worth a lot of money…. Even though it was already priced out on a shelf. Unsure if I’ll go there again.
(Updated) after reading more reviews others have had the same experience with the bald supervisor ripping the price tag off an item they were trying to buy. I’m sure he or employees cherry pick and sale things on the side themselves. Going to encourage my friends in estate sales to not donate to this location.

I just visited the store on Layton Utah. I buy hundreds of porcelain dolls every month. I chosen about 12 to 15 dolls. Most were marked 599 to 1099. Offer them $5 a piece (keep in mind about hundreds of dolls a month) I was told that I had to pay retail and there was no break for buying multiples. Keep in mind they paid nothing for the dolls, and the kids told me that if I were to buy it a discount it'd be depriving people of support. If a non-profit doesn't want to work on prices I will not shop with them again. Especially if I'm buying multiple multiple multiple items.

Tell your workers not to tell paying customers and parents how to parent. Especially Tyler.

This afternoon while shopping here my son was sitting inside the cart, playing with a toy. A worker, Tyler, came up to me and said, " if he's big enough to sit in the front part you need to put him in there and strap him in or make him walk". I explained that it's better for him to sit where he is because he is content and when I place him in the front he unstraps himself and stands up. I don't want him outside the cart because it's harder to keep track of him.
Tyler then told me that for safety reasons I must switch Drew or I cannot be in the store.
So I remove Drew from the back and attempt to strap him in, which is when all hell breaks loose. He starts screaming and crying, throwing a fit. He kept unbuckling the belt and standing up! I'm like "see, this is why I ALWAYS place him inside." The worker said "oh well" and rolled his eyes at me.
Needless to say, I had to leave my cart with everything in it after 10 minutes of hearing screening. ?

Their cheapest shirts are $5 and still dirty and covered in stains. You can get the same style and of better quality at walmart

*unbelievable experience*
Went here for a quick shop around approximately 30 minutes before closing. My friend tried a few items on in a fitting room that was OPEN and a three minutes before their stated close time, we were approached by an employee saying “We are closed, and you can’t be in the dressing rooms.” I respectfully apologized and let her know we would head up to the front momentarily. She then verbatim said “There are signs on the door stating you can’t use the fitting rooms. Can you not read?” I let her know I’m perfectly capable of reading and once again apologized as we didn’t notice the date had already passed. We began walking to the front and then she approached her coworker and began talking about us and again said to her coworker “Those girls went under the dressing room door… and I asked her ‘Can you not read?” I turned toward her and let her know it was extremely disrespectful to assume anyone cannot read in which she replied “It’s disrespectful for you to say that to me.” I told her standing up for myself is in fact not disrespectful and that if she wants to talk poorly about customers she should wait until they leave. This employee lacks morals, respect and communication skills and she should NOT be working a customer facing/customer service job. She is a poor representation of the company and delivers a subpar experience to customers. Her coworker even stated she has been a problem for a while. The rude woman was middle aged, brown hair.

Donate nice items and get ridiculed for how you packaged your items… I will donate elsewhere from now on. When I’ve donated to multiple other non profits, they have been happy to take my donation items and sort them after receiving them.

So disappointing they removed the dressing rooms. Not only that the staff that took my donations was rude and the cashier that I expressed my disappointment about the dressing rooms said it was because the people that shop there are disgusting. Awesome, thanks.
Update per owners canned response - all other stores out there (except apparently Goodwill) can seem to maintain their dressing rooms from "theft, vandalism, and illegal activities" Seems like a poor excuse and reiterates the view that "People that shop at Goodwill are disgusting" comes from the top.
