Online says that they had tool so we drove over to get and guess what, not only are the 2 people I asked clueless but unwilling to check.. HTF do you stay in business with a manager like that?

Notice to All Harbor Freight CustomersI have been painting for over 40 years and have used all types of spray guns and sprayers.This is the first time I have used a HVLP sprayer, so I decided to purchase this sprayer because of the reviews and past products I have purchased from Harbor Freight.BIG MISTAKE!!!! ?I had been using a cup sprayed that was working great, but my compressor could not keep up with me spraying so I had to change my approach.I spent several minutes learning the gun to insure an even fan.Once I figured the settings, I started to shoot the paint.Within in a couple of minutes I had the following issues...* The spray tip shot off three times on to the floor. The retaining ring would loosen up after adjusting the spray fan from vertical to horizontal as I changed it.* The spray would not properly atomize to create a nice even spray which caused an orange peel affect.* The air supply hose is so stiff and non-pliable which made it very difficult to get around the room and navigate* The supply tub in the spray cup is too short which means that if you tipped the buy and the cup was less then 1/3 full the product would stop flowing.* The spray tip and most of the components are plastic! I have a several other spray guns and all of them are either steel or brass.Do to all these issues cleaned the product and packaged it for a return.I gave the box to the sales clerk and told them that the gun did not work and had issues he told me that there was a 20% RESTOCKING FEE!!!I told him that why am I being charged a restocking fee for a defective product?He said that is our policy.See: attachmentsHow crazy is this…Harbor Freight return policy is on the back of their receipt. Think about it you get their policy AFTER YOU HAVE PURCHASED the item? How does that make any sence?I said that is insane, how do I know if the product is defective unless I open the box and use it? Besides that, if I knew the sprayer was defective, I would have never purchased it.He said do you want to exchange it or pay for the restocking fee?I said why would I want to keep a defective sprayer and why are you holding me hostage?He didn't reply and I told him to refund me and I will escalate this issue.The following day I called Harbor Freight customer support and told them what happened. She told me that is their policy. I said I have shopped at Harbor Freight for years and this is how you treat your customers?She said that is how it is.I told her I am never shopping at Harbor Freight again.People, this is how Harbor Freight values you.Stop shopping there.Lowes, Home Depot and many other retailers offer better products and better customer service!FYI, I did not take pictures, prior to returning the unit since I didn't think that this was going to happen.You have been WARNED!!!Read and the back of your sales receipt learn about their return policy is...

Never really busy, so it's a nice shopping experience. Store is clean. Employees aren't very friendly and don't seem to know how or want to help you. Sales are really good sometimes, just have to watch for the ads or get the coupon app on your phone and it makes it worth it. The store is always stocked with what I've needed, and haven't ever had a problem with any of it. It's also close by home so it's a good store to have access to when needed.

Good product for the money! They’ve up’s their game. They have good quality lines of tools. Back in the day it was just the cheap stuff but not anymore. Now you have a choice of quality and price.

I've been to many HF stores in many states, and this is one of the best - good location, lots of parking, very clean, well stocked, rarely much of a wait to check out, everything you hope for in a HF. Having said that, it's not a Lowes or a Home Depot, so I don't expect it to be, and I don't compare it to those stores, but I think most people know that.

Harbor Freight has become my first stop when I need a tool. They have truly become one of my favorite stores. I will be a Harbor Freight customer for life.

Went to get an exchange. The girl helping was really nice and helpful, but had to get supervisor override from her 20-something supervisor. Maybe I am missing some context, but the supervisor seemed like a very hostile, rude person to both me and the employee. Hope he’s not there long, as I love harbor freight otherwise.

Front counter gal has no interest in selling anything. I think she’s a manager every time I’ve gone to her or that store there is been a problem not a big fan so Salt Lake is 100 times better than a Layton store worth the drive.

Quality tools for a reasonable price. There is always something for everyone. Definitely cheaper than Home Depot or Lowe’s. If you are a picky person, this store is not for you. As long as it’s gets the job done, you’ll be satisfied.

The guy running the register needs to understand that some people just want to get what they need and be on there way and and it’s not a requirement to get someone’s phone number, email, Home address and countless bits of information before checking out …… self checkouts would do this company wonders.
