“I have got to share my experience with Security Service FCU!!Now I’m gonna start off telling you I’ve been using banks or credit unions for quite some time! But when I tell you that I have NEVER had an experience like I’ve had with the fine folks at SSFCU…you better believe me!!So…I recently purchased a new car and SSFCU financed the loan thereby giving me the opportunity to also create an account with them. So I planned to go into the local branch here in Riverdale to do so. Now since I moved to Utah, I had always remarked about how the building always looked serene and inviting, especially where it is located and always having to pass it since I lived just down the street in walking distance!!Now let me start this tale with the phone call I received from Maya, welcoming me to SSFCU. She went on to tell me about their services and if I ever needed anything to reach out to them. So…finally going to visit, I noticed how neat and clean the building and parking lot were with well maintained grounds. Upon entering (and I’m not exaggerating) I was warmly greeted by a friendly smile and “welcome to Security Services Federal Credit Union…how may I help you?” Of course I know you’re saying to yourself…what’s so unusual about that? Well I’ll tell you! The young lady’s name was Abby and she was the most welcoming person I have EVER encountered at a financial institution and made every moment of my visit a pure joy. Initially, I was only going to pay my car payment, but her openness and warmth urged me to ask questions about a checking account. So she took me to a nice little room off the main area to discuss options and it also provided a level of privacy when it came to providing personal info. Her level of customer service exceeded anything I had ever experienced before in any other institution and made me comfortable as if I were talking with a good friend!! (And I have been in customer service for 40 years!!) After concluding the business at hand, Abby introduced me to the other staff (which also has never happened before at ANY of the major banks and, I will blame my excitement of joining SSFCU on not remembering all of their names) and Brittany and Robyn were just as warm and friendly as Abby!But that’s not all…not a week later Abby reached out to me to make sure everything was going smoothly and if I had any problems or questions. Now when has ANYONE from a bank or credit union done that?!? Never in my 40 years of banking!!So if you’re looking for a good, no correction, a GREAT credit union, head over to Security Services Federal Credit Union and meet these wonderful people and a check out their services. You won’t be disappointed!!Oh and a footnote…next time I visit I look forward to meeting Maya, as she wasn’t in the day I went in!Thank you all so much for the excellent customer service and treatment I have received!!”

“I have been a member of this Credit Union for over 40 years. I’ve had very good relationships with many people that were loan officers and managers of all of the branches. Over the years things have changed significantly. There are many things I do not like. It does not have the small hometown feeling it had before. And they are not personable with anyone. Which is a shame, due to the demand of the competition and ever growing technology. But I do have an amazing loan officer that keeps us there. That is the reason for the 5 stars. Jaylie is the best!!”

“Sometimes you need help when you run into a mountain too big to move by yourself. If that happens at Mountain America credit union, you need Amanda. A teller and I had a miscommunication that resulted in what would have been a nasty tax assessment. No fault was involved. I just failed to make my desires crystal clear. That happens all the time in life. In this case the tax consequences would have been horrendous. Initially I was told that there wasn’t anything that could be done. In stepped Amanda. Amanda was exceptionally patient. She took the time to fully understand the situation even though she must have thought she was dealing was dealing with a bumbling old fool. She was. I immediately felt much better after talking to her because it was clear that she fully understood the situation, but most importantly, it was clear to me that she genuinely cared about me and was determined to find a solution if one existed. Finding someone who genuinely cares is a rare occurrence these days. Perhaps there wasn’t anyway to remedy the situation, but Amanda was going to find out for certain and thus spent several days investigating every possible solution. I can’t remember the last time a complete stranger spent so much time and effort to help me out. She called me every few days with updates. She didn’t make any promises she knew she couldn’t keep. Her efforts and determination were remarkable. Most people would have given up. Amanda persevered. She was finally able to determine what must be done. Anyone who has dealt with the IRS and the confusing, many times contradictory, regulations know how difficult a task it is when dealing with a complex, rare situation.My only regret is that Amanda is not an oncologist. She is the perfect example of for the type of person you want on your side, especially if facing a life threatening situation. Her combination of determination, work ethic, empathy and intelligence is the penultimate example of what is needed in healthcare.Amanda thank you very much, Ross Kelson MDp.s. Amanda didn’t know my occupation so I am certain this is her standard operating procedure.”
