I've been to Chesty's five or six more times since I left my review below, and everything I said below is still true and then some. These guys do the best job, are the fairest, and are the most honest repair shop I've ever been to, and I've been to many.

Chesty's is a different kind of auto shop. Honestly. The three attributes that make it diffetent in my eyes are:
1) Honesty
2) Skill
3) Service
Honesty - You can *know* that Chesty's will never suggest a part or service for the purpose of upselling you. They honestly don't roll that way.
Skill - Miguel is a *great* mechanic, and he hires other excellent mechanics.
Service - Miguel provides truly great service to his customers, the best you'll find.
Besides providing service to customers, he provided it to our great country as he's a veteran, in fact, asva Marine. I am as well, and the shared experience of hell, er, Marine Corps boot camp, ensures there is a strong bond of respect there.
I'm 71, and Chesty's is the only auto repair place I'll be using for the duration.

I thought I had a blown head gasket on my 1999 Land Cruiser, based on my own and other mechanics' diagnoses. I received several quotes, with most unwilling to work on it unless they replaced the entire engine. I was quoted as high as $15,000 to fix the issue. Burns was able to identify something that others couldn't: an "idle up vacuum solenoid for the power steering, which most typically do electronically but in these years, it's done hydraulically by Toyota. This solenoid was sending power steering fluid into the intake".
These guys potentially saved me over $14,000!!! Thank you, Burns!!

“THE BEST PLACE YOU CAN GO IN LAYTON! Last Thursday 8/15 we got a flat tire in a rental car on our way to Bear Lake. We pulled into Trav’s about 5:55pm and were out of there at 6:23pm with a spare tire securely on! It’s so overwhelming getting a flat tire in the first place, not to mention while traveling with 3 small children AND in a rental. But the two young gentlemen working that evening were spectacular. We wanted a newer model that wasn't available yet and he spent the time to help us find exactly what we wanted. His product knowledge was vast and when we purchased our Acadia Denali, he spent the time patiently walking through the entirety of the new infotainment system, camera systems, and in-dash tech. I've had a few conversations with him since we purchased to ask additional questions and he is always willing to help. “I had my front Jeep windshield replaced on Friday May 10th. I washed my Jeep right before I took it to them. They scratched my driver side mirror. You can clearly see where they stood on the running boards by the mirrors. I’m pretty sure it was someone’s belt buckle. I’ve been coming to them for years and was super happy with them. I haven’t contacted them but i highly doubt they would do anything about it. I’m sure it would be the standard it wasn’t us routine. I think they have expanded too fast and lost sight of quality control. I’d think twice before going to them. I’d happily change my review if they step up but no one really does that anymore.

I was really surprised today! The owner reached out to me and has offered to replace the damaged mirror. I offered to do the replacement if he would order and pay for the mirror. He has already ordered the mirror from the Jeep dealership. I stand corrected! This company did indeed step up to the plate and make it right. I have changed this review to 5 star and will continue to use them in the future. I will post updated pictures once the mirror is replaced.
