The sign on the building clearly says EXHAUST, brakes, etc. I stopped by this morning and was greeted by the owner / manager. I asked him about brakes and exhaust. He said he could take care of the brakes, but they don’t do exhaust work AT ALL. Informed him that “ only asked and I mainly came in because there’s a big sign saying they do exhaust work, I can do brakes myself.”
My approach was professional, brief and considerate.
In turn, his response was very condescending, rude (complete with eye rollin and throwing his hands up) and just being incredibly unprofessional. I don’t think he understands that it’s illegal to falsely advertise goods or services in Utah in order to bring people in and then in such a rude manner bait and switch. He must’ve been having a bad Monday morning, but I immediately wanted to be away from his company and presence. All I said in response was “have a nice day” and left.
Out of principle, I do not find such a rude / emotional person trustworthy with my car. I moved to Kanab this year, and this type of behavior on the part of a business owner is absolutely out of order, and I have never encounter it before here. It is a clear violation under the “deceptive trade practices” act of Utah to advertise a service you don’t offer.

We stopped in for an oil change on our 2 month road trip. Great service, friendly staff! Very reasonable price for synthetic oil, and they topped off all fluids. We did laundry in town, and walked back to find our truck ready to go!

On the way to Bryce Canyon we had flat tires on the car we rented from Los Angeles. We stopped by and they were very kind and professional! They inflated the tires for free despite our insistence on paying them. Great!

I recently had a frustrating experience with Ramsey's shop in Knab, Utah, while trying to fix my car's brakes. Initially, I attempted to install new brake pads myself, unaware that I needed to set the parking brake in service mode, which required a computer. After towing my car 30 miles to Ramsey's, they assured me they could resolve the issue. However, after three weeks and numerous calls, they admitted they couldn't fix it and suggested towing it to a dealership in St. George. Despite buying a $40 caliper from Amazon, they charged me nearly $400 for their unsuccessful efforts. This experience, along with other quality issues, has led my workplace to cease doing business with them

I got a tire rotation and balancing at Ramsays, but afterward, something felt wrong with the tires. When we went back to discuss it, they treated us poorly and said they could only sell us new tires to fix the issue. It seems they intentionally ruined my tires to force a purchase. I had to replace all four tires today. This place is unprofessional and only interested in making a commission from tire sales. I would never go back and warn others to avoid it. Absolutely one of the worst places in Kanab, UT, for car repairs.

THE BEST 5++!! After a huge run around (with Big Rig RV/Semi mobile mechanic, that sounded like they'd arrive within an hour but didn't after 2.5 with NO communication they weren't coming ), the Ramsay team saved the day ?!! We called Good Sam too, they said they couldn't find anyone open... So, I called the Page Police Dept, asked for an officer to protect us on the Hwy and they recommended Ramsay. They were 80 miles away, got here as quick as possible and it was amazing to watch them work, getting our 38' RV up on that HUGE trailer with such precision & not a scratch left!! We totally recommend this company, they definately know how to tow ? Great guys, thanks Nick!!

We blew 2 tires on our dump trailer within 12 hrs of eachother. Ramsay got us taken care of quickly, efficiently, and for a great price on a set of 4 new tires. Highly recommend!!

Thank you, Nick and Team, for the exceptional service. You saved our family camping trip and got us on our way home. You just never know when your alternator is going to kick the bucket. Highly recommend!!!!

Drove through Kanab on July 5th. Was on a road trip from Seattle to Phoenix. Just outside of town had engine failure. Ramsay's was the only place in town that answered. They got to us in about 12 minutes, loaded up the car and got it to the shop. Did a quick scan and cofirmed the car wouldn't be driving again. Ended up getting a u-haul and car trailer to finish the trip. Jake help us load up the car and get it all strapped down. Very friendly folks there and helped us a great deal to finish the trip.

Called on July 4th expecting to leave a message, but he did answer the phone. Told him about some noise coming from both front wheels. Asked if I could come by on the 5th to get it checked but got a no. Couldn't see me until Monday. I explained that we were pulling out Monday and he said okay and hung up on me! ?♂️

Got my car towed in from Zions and they were willing to have it sit in their lot for a few days while I scrounged up a truck and trailer to drive back down and tow it back to SLC myself

Unfortunately, I had to give these folks a 2-star rating just based on quality and lack of attention to detail. Everyone was very nice, including the technician and they got my Dodge Ram 3500 in for oil & fuel filter changes and a tire rotation relatively quick. BUT, when I left and went to a gas station for gas and to check oil level (less than a mile down the road) I found tools left on/in the engine compartment … I’M TALKING A 2 FOOT RATCHET AND A PAIR OF CHANNEL LOCKS!!! … Those tools could have done some SERIOUS damage to the engine
THEN, I noticed they rotated my tires but never checked pressures … basically leaving 80psi on the front and 60psi on the back … EXACTLY OPPOSITE OF WHAT’S RECOMMENDED! And, unfortunately this leaves me questioning the quality of work that was done as this is my only vehicle and I often tow a 16,000lb trailer.

We took our car to them to have new tires and rims put on. The tires/rims are smaller, but still fit in the vehicle just fine, same studs and lug nuts as its Subaru rims. Ramseys broke one of the studs when putting the tire on and failed to tell us, so when I noticed the next day we brought it up to them. They said they were supposed to tell us, but didn’t. They said they ordered a part and would let us know when they can fix it. We went in today to check and see if the part was in and were told that they don’t know if they have part they are really behind and that we should reach out near the end of the week to ‘see what they can do’. They broke my car and it’s an easy fix, shouldn’t take long to repair. We understand being busy, but when it’s something you’ve broken you’d want it righted as quickly as you can.

Be prepared to be trated like a moron if you don't walk in an expert on your vehicle. Their customer service has gone way downhill from what it used to be.
