I highly recommend FISHWEST fly shop if you’re in the area. Very friendly, very knowledgeable and great selection of products. Purchased another fly rod and reel from them while I was in the area. Trying to move up here very soon. See you all again in a few when I’m in town for work. Thank you.

Very helpful staff with all the questions we had. There was a fly fishing basics class in session when we arrived and we learned that these are a yearly class they provide. We will definitely try to get into the class they hold next year as it was obvious the instructor was very good at explaining things to the class.

As an avid fly fisher, I have been to many different fly shops and fishwest consistently has me coming back due to their extensive knowledge and professionalism. They are very friendly, attentive and have always been incredibly helpful. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I had fishing trip booked with them this summer but couldn’t do the original date and was still trying to find a date where my dad could join. They arbitrarily chose a date in future as a way to keep my deposit since I intended to go with their guide. I noticed the day before the date they chose and called them to cancel and that I couldn’t do that day. They refused to reschedule nor would they refund my money. I liked them, I supported them and sent people there. I made a purchase every time I was in the store.
I was even calm on the phone. But I can’t send people to a place that screws people over when they didn’t even pick the date. Especially when I tried to find a compromise with them and they refused. I asked them if they were willing to lose a customer over that and all JC said was “I understand.”
Also it apparently wasn’t enough for them to screw me out of $178; they started attacking me professionally.
Insane how little class people can have.

I'm new to Kamas so I went to the store on 11/06 to get some information about the area. I connected with John and he was amazing. We went over maps, parking zones and what was working this time of year. Friendly, patient and all around great customer service. Well worth a visit to the store.

JC and the crew at Fishwest represent everything you would hope for in a fly shop and more. With their extensive inventory to support their online business, the variety of products onsite is impressive.
They helped me gear up for a Cuba flats trip last year and went above and beyond when I returned looking for a new trout set up this summer. They have the fly fishing game covered from A to Z and I’ll always stop in when passing through the area, even if just to swap stories.
