I don't know what you call a company that forces you to sign an agreement to end service. You must agree to whatever they say before you can leave. That just seems very shady to me. That agreement should be signed when signing up, not when leaving. They call it a "Move-Out Form." And if you don't sign it, then what? Will they continue to charge a monthly fee? Will they tack on some bogus fees? Yeah, probably! They said: "Signing the move-out form is required to close out your account." First off, it's not a form; it's an agreement. Hence the "I agree" part you must sign. I wonder how well that would hold up in civil court?
Moving in was a good experience; the personnel were great to work with. I was there for over six months. All was good until the mice infestation in the last two months. There was mice urine and droppings all over my things, and I had to throw a lot away because the items were destroyed or too gross to handle. If you plan to use this storage facility, be sure to add your own mouse traps, pesticides, etc., to keep your belongings safe. There are no mouse traps or pest control devices anywhere on the property, which tells me they don't think it is their problem and don't care. Maybe so and that's fine, but next time I will go with a storage unit that does care and won't charge so much. They currently have a "First month for $1" deal, so keep in mind, you get what you pay for.
