We drove around Hyrum Dam on 12/30/2023 expecting to see some ice fishing; but there wasn't any. The lake hadn't frozen at all. After this and next week's colder temps there will probably be some soon.

Very nice place, beautiful view, quiet area, lots of parking and clean bathrooms and shower available.

I stay away from the north side where it's actually a park. I love the West, east south shores. They are very quiet and calming. It's not a huge lake, but it is big enough to have your own space. You can see the mountains from most angles, I love that too. There's a lot of fishing going on.
