The best used car dealer I have dealt with in over a decade.
The website is awesome!
You get the important info immediately, down payment needed and your ACTUAL projected monthly. That was huge for me because my credit is less than perfect and by that I mean garbage. Plus, I had a repo back in 2020.
Once the other dealerships heard my situation the tension rose through the roof. As did my down payment and projected monthly payment. Which was putting me in a 200k Chevy truck instead of the Avalon with 100k. Understandably so.
It wasn't looking very good for me as far as financing a decent vehicle for my wife and kids.
Everyone at HCL was amazing. Very welcoming, understanding, informative & truly professional.
Samantha made my wife and I feel at home, made the process easy and enjoyable.
I've driven the car 5k miles and it has been awesome.
I mentioned earlier I have dealt with used car dealerships before. As a mechanic I repaired countless vehicles for various used car dealers.
Now here is what, in my opinion, REALLY sets this dealership apart from the others. In my experience dealers will try to purchase the cheapest part possible to maximize their profit. Id say a solid 85-90%.
I asked HCL to provide parts receipts for the parts that were claimed to be replaced.
In this case the timing belt was claimed to be replaced. I know that the water pump should have been replaced at the same time if it was done correctly.
They gladly provided receipts
All of my parts were direct from the VW dealership. Timing belt, water pump, timing component kit and coolant. I also noticed they replaced the rotors and pads with high quality parts. The tires are also nearly new.
Integrity isn't normally a word I'd use to describe a car lot.
That is all I can think now when I hear,
Hurricane Car Lot.
Save yourself the grief and buy me a beer when you come home with a new to you car that isn't a piece of junk and you didn't get screwed for.
