“Decent parking. Nice that it's next door to a gas station so you can buy soda for mixing. Friendly lady worked there, she always made sure you knew about how the bags could rip through and to grab the bag from the bottom. People here are usually pretty friendly. Friendly security guard”

“It's a bit of a drive and a little pricy but so beautiful and so tasty! Everyone was happy with the food, but i had the pork chops and they were amazing! We'll definitely go back!”

“I have to say I Looove Kiitos beer. Also this location is really unique and just amazing. The people that work there have always been really nice and accommodating. We once went in there with a huge group kinda last minute and I felt bad but they were so great. If you find yourself in SLC or do live here and wanna try somewhere new, I HIGHLY recommend this place!”

“We went as a double date to Holystone and had such a great time! Bree, our lovely guide and server was so nice, extremely professional in every way, and full of knowledge! The ambiance was fantastic in the serving room. I personally don't drink liquor straight, nor does my man .. but it's such a great experience and it was so classy. Highly recommended! Really Cool!”

“My husband and I love this location way better than the sugarhouse location. The customers and employees are a lot nicer and more respectful. There's a lot more space in the store so it doesn't feel like a zoo. The employees were very willing to help us when we had a question and they took us right to the product we needed. The store was clean and organized. All products were very neatly labeled. We come here for the dark chocolate peanut butter cups especially. Thanks so much for a pleasant experience!”

“Thank you DABS!If it wasn't for your poor selection of liquor I might have tried to drink gas since I was stuck in Salt Lake city for 34 hours. Cheers! ⛽️”

“This place has always been awesome when we visited. I believe it's been through a management change over the last 5-6 years. We did a tasting/tour with the owner in 2019-ish and the information was amazing. Booze... amazing-er. When we did another tour with the assuming owner, it was still awesome with a different perspective. We loved the information, but we also liked that he was full disclosure about the transfer of ownership without any negative connotations. Great way to run a business. Kudos to this place! Kudos to all and hopefully we make it down there to grab some amazing booze before we move to Florida.”

“I was pleased by the courtesy of the staff, the lady at the shipping window was in a good mood too! I checked in at 7:00, having a 12:00 appointment, and was put in a door. Happy Trucker!!”

“A great local distillery. Ended up getting the 4 year whiskey as a gift and it didn’t disappoint. I had also gone for a tasting which they were all fantastic, and I’m not big on whiskey.”

“Buying retail adult beverages in Utah is an interesting experience. The onlyalcohol retail is in bare bones state stores. The selection was decent, butthere are no mixers or condiments. The staff at this location was super.”

“Always polite and professional especially management. 4 stars instead of 5 do to policy that they ID ? percent of there customers. Stupid if you ask me annoying and what of your ID is lost or stolen line mine has been 4-5 different times. I know, just get another. Easier said than done for some people. It's hilarious to see an 80 year old man have to get his ID while he shakes and about has a heart attack doing so due to embarrassment, stress and anxiety. To top it off just showing it isn't acceptable you must take it out, at least thats what they tell me so they can SCAN it. Don't add up here there definitely must be something I'm missing, not being told or I missed the memo that day.”

“If you're looking for basic. Go to TJMaxx. If you want to feel inspired, and swarmed with creative thought for your next cocktail concoction. Or just be in awe before you open that next bottle of Cabernet from the wine store around the corner. Then GO HERE. And don't be intimidated by the giant phonohorns as you walk in. I went in looking for a wine key. And left with the cutest wine buster and a reminder of why I got into bartending.”

“There are lots of great beverages and a super fun concept. The store was in desperate need of dusting during our visit, and we were largely ignored by the employee working. We had to go track them down to ring us up after standing at the register for a handful of minutes.Tried to charge us 29.98 for one bottle of root beer that is listed online as 2.98 at other retailers. This place has a lot of potential, but much like the store itself could use some polishing.”

“As far as Utah liquor stores go this is a good one. A decent wine selection, good liquor selection (including some hard to get ones), and a passable beer selection.”

“I agree with a previous post that this place is a bit of a hidden gem. Great selection for its size, they play good music, and with the exception of the older lady with glasses that always seems to be grumpy...this place has rad employees.”

“Friendly staff and surprisingly high-end (albeit pricey) selection. I say "surprisingly" because it on a rather sketchy block, but holy s**t, they really have a phenomenal wine/champagne/hard liquor selection for such a relatively small building!”

“I used to hate delivering here but the last few times have been awesome. Under 30 minutes. Even showed up 15 mins early for my appointment! The warehouse staff is very friendly and helpful!”

“On my fourth visit to SLC I finally got to shop in one of these fabled State Liquor Stores. Unsure what to expect, I assumed prices would be marked up to Hell and the selection wouldn't be great compared to what I am used to back home where we can get liquor any ol place. It turns out I was incorrect on both counts. My Utah resident friend is not much into beer, so instead of dragging her to local breweries, I picked up some mix and match cans of local brews here. (Craft beer is mostly singles, more domestic or popular stuff you can get in packs.) I got three of them and one foofoolala watermelon hard lemonade for around $10. What a steal. The beers were Jenny P. beers too, so stouts and a belgian of higher %. I was very happy about the pricing. All of the beers turned out to be bangers, too. I rated them highly on untappd. The store layout was in nearly thirds, one each for beer, liquor, and wine. A good portion of the beer section was seltzers and foofoo stuff, but they had a decent selection of actual beer, and half of it was Utah brewed beer. There are people here making it and consuming it, and it's good. Be not afraid. I got a kick out of the warning signs at the entrance. The church government does not want its subjects to consume adult beverages. Hence the whole having to buy alcohol in a specific store run by the govmint. You can also buy beer from breweries just fyi. I get lost trying to keep track of all the rules making it harder to be a degenerate. But I digress, there was also a security guy by the door and everyone buying here gets ID'ed, which is not too different from back home.I found customer service to be just fine, and found what I needed easily. Everything was well organized and again the prices were unbelievable. The yelp listings for these are not always accurate, and I tried to make a new entry for this one with the correct address because it wasn't pulling up for me. Yelp merged it together with another location, but at least the address is correct now. This was the one I went to. There are many in the Salt Lake area. I would come back to sin at the State Liquor store again when I'm in town next time. They are closed on Sunday, shocking.”

“I can't help but leave with a box. I'm not that big of a drinker but when the state restricts my purchasing ability I've gotta stock up! Parking is good, the store is large and the selection is decent. There have been a few things I haven't been able to find but they always have substitutes.”

“Stopped in to grab something for a friend, the lines were long but it didn't seem like it because the employees were so friendly and chatted you up so well that I didn't see anybody leave their unhappy.”

“Neat and clean liquor store! Reasonable prices, and reasonable tax. Location is conveniently located around Whole Foods and other desirable stores! Awesome wine collection!”

“It’s a liquor store in Utah people. It’s EXACTLY as you’d expect it to be. If you time it right - you’ll be in and out in less than 15 minutes. If not, you might join a local parish. Could go either way.Other than that, it’s reasonably priced and located in Sugarhouse. The whole Sugarhouse seems to be in scaffolding and under construction so bring your CAT and John Deere while you’re at it. Maybe my grandkids will get to see it completed but I’m not holding my breath”

“The Place just up the street for hooch! Love the non existent line, and the helpful staff, also the danger of riding the right - hand eventually of course a culminating in must right hand turn action that no one seems to Understand, right hand of faith off of university Blvd! ? Adds a sense of adventure to an otherwise dull visit to the alchamahol store! Thanks for the Doris Day parking!”

“Wings were cooked to perfection and gigantic. The buffalo chips weren’t bad. The blue cheese dressing was decent. But the sauces were are where my hang-up is. The traditional was anything but spicy, it was closer to a medium on the heat level. The southern honey BBQ was accurate to its description of a medium heat level.”
