They are no longer open. This location is closed and a new sewing/craft shop is in it's place. Definitely went downhill this past year.

Sadly, I have to share the opinion of those recently burned by this business through their location change. The week before they closed my dog came in for a daycare interview and the owner took my money for a prepaid pass since they'd "reopen in just a few weeks." We scheduled daycare appointments but when the day arrived I couldn't get a hold of anyone to find out where to go, so we stayed home. I contacted them on every phone number, email, and platform, and finally found out on instagram they were staying closed. When I realized they wouldn't be opening and I needed to find other arrangements for my dog, I requested a refund and was told she had already refunded everyone out of "integrity." I had no refund, which she finally acknowledged but told me her bank would not allow her to issue a refund and she would have to pay me back via Paypal. I created a link for her and checked back in repeatedly but still received nothing, so I finally disputed the charge with my bank. Calling all Dogs disputed the dispute, sending a transaction from someone else's credit card as proof that I'd visited them again. It's such a bummer that integrity for this person includes keeping money for services that were never rendered, even if it means falsifying proof of my patronage. Grateful for screenshots. If they reopen, proceed with caution. This is not the business it used to be, which is such a terrible loss for the dog community in SLC. Before this I used Calling All Dogs exclusively my for training needs, but even if they reopen I will never return.

Calling all dogs used to be a great place for training. A few years ago when it was under different ownership it was thriving. If you go now be warned, they are not what they used to be. They handled Covid very very poorly and wouldn’t let us use the 4-5 lessons that we were not allowed to attend because of Covid. They recently lost their lease but had lessons scheduled out past the date they lost their building. Those lessons never happened either.Just watch out. There are many good reviews, and they used to be worthy of those but that is no longer the case...

I set my dog up for training back on December 15th. We went to one class and they informed us that they were pushing the next class back two weeks and would tell us the location of the new training center. They did not do that. I still haven’t been issued a refund and it is the last day of March. They said I would get a refund over two weeks ago and I still haven’t gotten it. I’ve sent multiple emails, phones are shut down. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE THEY STOLE MINE.

I was recommended this place by an experienced canine behaviorist I hired to work with my puppy. I’ve just done a few sessions of puppy play and the first puppy class, and I have to say this place is amazing! It is clean and I trust the staff with my puppy (which is saying a lot since I am kind of over-protective and nervous). I love that they’re positive reinforcement-focused and am grateful for their interactions with my puppy. They got to know her quickly and are helping her learn to interact since she is a herding pup and can get pretty nippy during play. They’re great and have earned my trust and loyalty!

BEWARE. I really wouldn’t even give 1 star. When I called the first time, they couldn’t even answer my questions about training. When I asked for someone who could answer questions, I was told she was too busy and didn’t take calls. When I attended the first class, I couldn’t hear the trainer due to the large room w high a ceiling. I was disappointed and asked for a refund. They refused and would not even give me a credit for other services or products.I continued my classes and had to miss #5. When I called to reschedule they said they could not reschedule yet because they were moving but offered a refund for it as well as for my last # 6 class. I decided to take the refund and then was sent a mean spirited email from them saying they would deduct the missed class and the included puppy playgroup times from the refund and that I could not take further classes there. This business has very poor customer relationship patterns. Their responses to me were harsh an unfriendly on 2 occasions. They suddenly canceled class that was prepaid and gave no apology, and had no alternative class times set up. I regret that ever signed up. I wish I had called around and found a different training facility. If you are reading, use my mistake to your own benefit.

Fantastic dog training center that focuses on science-based training methods to help the humans understand the best way to train their dog and build a strong relationship. I recommend CAD to all of my friends, those with new puppies and those with older dogs. I’m so happy to have found them!

I love that they use positive reinforcement training. Everyone is so wonderful and have helped so much in training our new puppy. It's my first time with a puppy so I really appreciate all their help. We did puppy prep and just signed up for wonderpups round 2!

We just finished the tenacious teens class. It was wonderful! The class was both a great bonding experience for my dog and I and a wonderful experience to train her. My only regret is that I didn't do this type of training with my last rescue dogs. The curriculum covered so much. The trainer and her assistant were attentive and thorough. The positive reinforcement worked so well for my border collie I'll never do anything else. I can't possibly thank them enough for showing me the best way to train my dog!

I really don't know where to start because I have a lot of good things to say about Calling All Dogs. We took our first puppy class with our 3 month old corgi. Each class includes a little bit of puppy playtime (usually at the beginning to get some of their energy out) followed by hands on training. You will learn skills in the class, but you have to practice then at home consistently if you want to be successful. They also give you handouts which are available online to reference. Our puppy still has a ways to go but he has learned a lot and so have we. They use positive reinforcement, no punishment, and they really help you to build a bond with your dog. Kelsey, the trainer, was amazing, as well as the rest of the staff assisting her. You can tell they all really love dogs and enjoy their job. I was a little nervous about trying to do a class during covid but it hasn't been an issue at all. The classroom is quite large and everyone wears masks and are more than 6 feet away. It's nice that they've taken more than the necessary precautions to make everyone feel safe. It was also nice to meet other puppies and puppy parents who are encountering the same difficulties you are. It's nice to know you're not alone! Having a puppy sometimes feels like having a newborn all over again and not knowing what the hell you're doing! :)They also offer puppy playtime sessions on Saturdays (I think on Sundays too sometimes). It's only $5 and a great way to socialize your puppy and wear them out. You get 3 free sessions when you sign up for a class and a few 1/2 off daycare dates with your class. There's also a retail store. They have treats, toys, food, harnesses, leashes, etc. In my opinion it's the best selection I've seen. Pet stores may carry more options, but these are more like "the best of the best" options. They seem very handpicked. Things that are really hard to find, you can find here. Our puppy loves the beef tendons, and they last him a long time unlike other treats/chews. They carry lots of other treats like cow ears, pork pizzles, beef tracheas, cow tails, bully sticks, etc. They will recommend products in class which I think is nice if you're a little lost, but never pushy about buying their products. I bought a snuffle mat from Amazon and that was a big mistake. He tore it up pretty easily, and just tipped it over to get all the food out, haha. So I was hesitant to try again, but calling all dogs make theirs in house so after "sampling" it in class, I thought it would be a good purchase. The fabric is much stronger and the mat is weighted so he can't pick it up. It's a great way to occupy him for a bit and calm him down. I'll definitely be back to buy more products/treats from them. I would highly highly recommend Calling All Dogs to anyone looking for puppy classes or even for their older dog. They offer some cool specialized classes like agility, scent work and tricks, which we plan on doing later. I haven't seen any other places with such a huge variety of classes. I hope you check it out, you won't regret it!
