It's a really great place. Admission is free, and there's so much history from the many wars that the US had engaged in, particularly Utah history, with honors given to Utah residents and their contributions to the safety of the US and the world. It's not very busy, and the staff are incredibly kind and caring and well engage and answer questions. There's construction happening, so I'm excited to see this place after April when they said construction will be completed.

An amazing exhibition with civil and military aircraft of all kinds.A large part of the exhibits are covered in a climatized hanger. The bigger ones are outside. You get a feel of the Cold War when you see the size of B52 and other bombers. Also, some good history panels re Korea and Vietnam warIt is easy to spend 2-3 hours here, and entrance is free

What a fantastic aerospace museum local to Davis county at Hill AFB!It was recently shut down for a few short weeks (23 October - 3 November) for some expansion/rearrangement but is back open to the public, albeit with more work in progress with the L.S. Skaggs 'wing' still under construction (as I post this on 4-Nov-2023).As such, a few of the aircraft are not currently viewable (the SR-71, for example).Otherwise, it was a bright and cheery day today at the museum and look forward to getting back there soon to check out the expansion when it's done!

If military and/or aerospace museums are your thing Hill Aerospace Museum is a MUST see! There are so many exhibits to see and articles to read. We stayed an hour, but could have easily stayed for two! There is a C-130 to walk in and look around. Outside has a whole field of airplanes to see as well. Volunteers available if a person has questions.

The museum has a pretty impressive display of planes and ICBMs. Staff are super friendly and most have worked on airplanes previously so they can provide a lot of insight. The museum is very accessible for wheelchair users, those with mobility impairments, and those with service dogs. Fair amount of walking inside and outside to see the display of planes. Well worth the trip out to see them.

This museum was really amazing and a must if your in the area. Also call ahead for someone to do a tour with you I recommend asking for Kenneth he was wonderful to my family and myself. We didn’t know about the tours but gave us a little history for the time he had before he started a tour with another family and/or school.I will put some of the pictures that I was able to take and share. It was free to go in but do recommend giving a donation because the up keep as well as seeing these volunteers were well worth it.Thank you to the volunteers staff and the cute gift shop place too. Thank you to our vets who served and lost there life’s serving our country.

A truly amazing museum. The amount of history here is stunning. They have an abundance of jet planes - everything from fighter jets such as the F-15 and F-16, reconnaissance planes such as the SR-71, bombers and transportation planes, and so much more. The planes come from multiple generations, so you will can see an F-4 and a more modern unmanned drone. You can also see weapons, sit in a stationary cargo plane, see exhibits of military uniforms and equipment, and there are tons of areas that talk about women in the military, POWs from the Vietnam War, and more. The museum is free but encourages donations. We left a donation and bought some from the shop to show our support. Even the gift shop has a great selection. We took a close friend who is an Air Force veteran. Thanks for such a great experience and we will be sure to come again!

We LOVE coming to the Hill Aerospace Museum! We are an Air Force family, so whenever we are at the Hill AFB, we make sure to stop by the museum. There is so much history here, and my husband loves telling the kids all about each plane/jet and what they did/do to help the military. It makes me happy to see how very well taken care of this place is. How they are also working on an expansion! If you are driving by Utah, I highly recommend you add this museum to your list of stops. PS: it's also free to enter. They also accept donations.

Such an amazing museum and completely free! Remember to check the schedule for the Saturday activity for the kids. Cool hands on STEM activities, so check the website to sign up, and sign up early. Space goes fast. This is a great walk through museum showing the history of flight, from the Wright Brothers, to WWI, WWII, Korea, Cold War, Vietnam, all the way to the present. The new section, once finished, will include an F-22 as well.Don't forget to check out the C-130 on the side of the last display room. Very cool to see what the inside looks like.Ask the volunteers questions. Many have amazing stories of service and sacrifice, and love speaking to people about their experiences.

We loved coming to the museum! They have an outside section with their big airplanes and the older smaller exhibits inside. They have well written signs about the exhibits and volunteers that can also tell you different stories and background on the exhibits. The museum is pretty big and is geared more towards school kids and adults. I would bring a stroller for young kids since there is a good amount of walking. They do have a flight simulation that you can reserve for school aged kids and a C-130 you can go inside. We will definitely be back after the construction and addition of new exhibits!

Stopped by for a rest stop on a trip. This place is awesome if you are an aviation enthusiast. The staff are mostly volunteers and you can tell they enjoy what they are doing. Had several great conversations about the aircraft on display. Brought back many memories of my time in the USAF.

We have been visiting Utah for years, and somehow never visited Hill Aerospace Museum before. And boy were we missing out!We spent a couple hours here on summer morning and loved everything about it. The planes are set up chronologically, so the second building has the more modern fighter jets. Those were definitely a highlight!Seeing the planes and reading the signs was great, but our favorite part was speaking with the volunteers. We spoke to two men- one had flown the fighter jets and one had worked on them. They answered our questions and also shared stories and facts that made it all more impactful and memorable. Our kids, ages 2 - 10, were all interested. We unfortunately ran out of time and did not even make it to the outside! They told us that they were constructing a building to house all the outside planes so that they could be protected from the elements. So even if you have been before, it would be worth another visit. They have a great gift shop too, and given that the museum is free, we gladly spent money in the gift shop to bring home the memories. Fighter jet toys and even a Christmas tree ornament.

I was beyond impressed with this museum.I know good aerospace museums that would easily charge $30+ for tickets to see these kinds of aircraft. I was extremely surprised to see that admission was free and there were way more aircraft than I had expected. For the average citizen, they might not realize how great this place is unfortunately. The only one I've been to that tops it is the Smithsonian in DC, and well, they are hard to beat. Great job.Overall it is an amazing museum. Will be back again.
