Try to use self check whenever possible. The checker people are rude much of the time. Good selection of items. The active duty in uniform priority between 1100 and 1300 is never enforced...don't even ask.

Not a fan of your new layout. The fact that there are never any employees to ask where things are makes it worse. I spent 15 minutes looking for corn tortillas only to leave empty handed.

Typical selection for a commissary with Utah having so much variety of base it would be cool to see out of state stuff

This is a very small store compared to most commissaries. There are only four self-check out lines. Oftentimes, they are out of products, so if you see certain things, like fish in the meat department, you better buy it because it probably won't be there in another day or two. Everything that I ever asked them to start carrying, they've been able to honor my requests. Last year, I asked them to start carrying Baby Magic products. Now they carry them but they are usually lie or like today, not stocked at all. But at least, they do carry it now. Requesting items is a service that many people are not aware of. If you have the benefit and the time, it's worth checking the commissary before going to other grocery stores since your items are tax free.

You should really install more self-checkouts since you always have only 1 register open with a cashier. Also, a couple of self-checkouts with less than 10 items will be great. When I go get lunch, I have I wait 20 minutes for the people in front to scan and weight all 30 items but didn't want to go thru the cashier, even if there is no line there. Just ideas on how to improve the flow.

I guess it's at every commissary... but the produce they sell typically has mold on it. Couldn't even begin to tell you how much money was wasted over time with hidden mold.

Amazing shopping experience

I've been shopping at this commissary for years. I agree, that it is a well kept, clean facility with a very friendly and helpful staff. My only complaint (other than being understocked at times, which is usually bad shopping timing on my part) is that I have found outdated items on numerous occasions. I have learned to be very cautious and check the use by dates on everything I put into the cart. Recently, there was a whole section of cream cheese that had expired 7 days before. Last week there were egg roll wrappers that were due to expire the next day. The staff is very responsive when alerted. I have found that this happens often with the refrigerated products and have returned some staples with expired dates. I've also had to change plans and use sooner than expected because items were too close to become expired. It's a hassle to have to return items and re-shop, so I usually just dispose of them. The take home message here is to be VERY careful and check use-by dates.

They have a wide variety of foods that I cannot find at other grocery stores. Very clean and organized.
