I highly recommend Anderson and Sons. Andrew and his staff were so compassionate and comforting through such a hard time when my niece passed away. They were very professional and accommodating through the whole process.

Our family had a wonderful experience from start to finish with Anderson and Sons Mortuary. They took care of my mom’s funeral. It was such a stressful time and they helped the whole process go smoothly. We held the funeral in their Highland facility. It was easy to find for out of town guests, and it was light and bright inside. I had a few guests complement us on the layout of the building. Thank you for all your help!

Some good and some bad with Anderson and Sons. The initial encounter and consultation was respectful, compassionate and made it easy to make all the decisions. The embalming and preparation of our loved one was excellent. The execution of funeral services was without hiccup.
On the flip side, the mortuary in American Fork feels old…and creepy. For the amount of money taken in per funeral I would expect a modern feel and contemporary design.
During the setup of our services, a well seasoned mortician made us feel suffocated with the way he thought the setup should be done. He cited his “30 years of experience” in a very rude and condescending way. No sympathy or empathy for the grieving customer whatsoever.
We were hounded for a check...which I wrote and delivered on time before our services. The check sat in a drawer in their office for over a week until I called to find out why I hadn’t seen the check post from my accounts. Why hound me for the check if you aren’t going to cash it right away? That’s a lot of money to be siting around vulnerable to be lost or stolen.

My mother-in-law passed a year ago. Anderson & Sons made the process feel like a sales transaction. They stated they would record audio of our service, but ended up not. They offered a blanket with our loved one's photo on it as an apology, which we accepted, but alas we were not fully satisfied with the experience.

Hugely disappointed in the services. My grandpa passed away during the COVID19 crisis, which made gathering for a funeral very difficult as there would only be a limited number of people allowed to physically attend. Anderson Mortuary offered a Zoom funeral option to those of us who would not be able to travel and attend in person. We had the impression that those of us using Zoom would more or less be PRESENT, just virtually rather than physically. Instead, they had a camera set up so we could WATCH the funeral happening. None of my other family members could see us, I couldn't say hi to my grandma or aunts or uncles or cousins, the mortuary had us all on MUTE, and I didn't even get to be a part of the grandchildren sharing memories. What a JOKE, we were incredibly disappointed in the quality of the Zoom experience, they are NOT set up to properly conduct virtual funerals during these difficult times.

In 2019, both of my in-laws passed away within 40 days of each other. We used Anderson and Sons Mortuary. They were kind, thorough, organized and very loving. I would highly recommend you and your loved ones use their services. As a side note... It would have been easier on us as family had we taken their recommendation years ago to pre-plan their funeral services. Talk with them today because the future is uncertain.

I was 100% pleased with the services at Anderson & Sons Mortuary when my husband died. This is a family owned business that has been in business for many years. They were caring, informative, and not pushy. Their prices were reasonable and they even provided follow-up counselor as part of the package to help me navigate all the decisions that have to be made when a loved one passes.
