I’ve called in about 8 times to complain about the Slim Chickens having a worker that comes by at 1 or 2 in the morning that runs a generator to power wash or do something that always wakes me up. It is annoying say the least and is breaking the noise ordinance. However Herriman police department could care less and has yet to take care of this problem. Officer Meomo was so rude and not willing to listen. She just got disrespectful as I tried to ask her about the noise ordinance and questioned her about why this company is allowed to do this. She just said they are doing their job so nothing would be done. When I tried to ask more questions she just got more rude and hung up when I asked for someone else to talk to that would be willing to help. Finally Officer Beckstead responded since Meomo hung up on me and finally showed some compassion. He was very kind and listened and gave some suggestions on what we could do to solve the problem. Officer Beckstead gets 5 stars, and if it wasn’t for him they’d get 1 star or 0 if it were possible. This coming from someone who is a big supporter of the blue line.

They don't know the law and make illegal traffic stops while using scummy tactics

Awesome officers. Helped me all the way. I was coming to town in an 18 wheeler, they told me how to get around, basically walked me right into my customer. They were quick on the return call, and just all around helpful and patient.

My neighbor's car was hit, the other driver drove off. My neighbor, being only 18 didn't know what to do, so he followed and honked and flashed his lights at her thinking, "she hit me she needs to pull over."She called 911 and told the police she was being followed by a mad man with a gun. She pulled into Herriman police station, as did my neighbor. The police then yelled my neighbor to get back in the car, and asked if he had a gun. After they got the squared away, they were still yelling at him for following her. They never appologied to my neighbor or wrote up the lady for a hit and run.Herriman police only listen to who speaks first then go in guns a blazing.

My interactions with Herriman PD have always been professional and to the point. They have been curteous and respectful. When I have needed assistance, they have arrived faster than expected every time.

This police department uses dishonest tactics to get any amount of money out of people. Also trying to appeal anything is impossible because the judge won't listen or give you a chance. If you can steer clear of these guys.

Thanks for all you do. The only people who are upset at y’all are the ones who broke the law and deserved a ticket/jail time.Keep doing you HPD!

Lived in Herriman for years with no trouble. Now I have to warn anyone that comes to visit the area because the police are ticket happy. Great work Herriman PD! Congratulations you’re very good at pulling people over and ticketing them.

Lived in Herriman for 3 years. This department is incompetent, unprofessional, careless, and full of bigots and racists. Avoid living anywhere within their jurisdiction if you know what is good for you. Absolutely led by people who represent the reasons many people don't like cops and wish harm on them. Can't say I completely disagree either.

I phoned the Unified Police Herriman Precinct to notify them of a problem with my commercial vehicle that left it disable in a difficult place. I also made them aware I was carrying a side arm for both our safety. Two officers arrived at nearly the same time which is to be expected when there is an unusual event. I made certain to be clearly visible under a street light, made certain there was nothing obstructing their view of the handgun I was carrying openly, and kept my hands visible and movement slow and deliberate as they surveyed the area and approached me. The exchange was polite, personable, and professional. There was no mention of my weapon nor any inquiries as to why I was carrying one. They left me feeling confident the situation would be handled as best as it could be under the circumstances and that's all I needed to hear. I've had all manner of interaction with Law Enforcement in many different places in this country for all kinds of issues. The two officers I came into contact within this instance were as professional as any were anywhere. The locals should be proud of their Precinct and grateful for these two officers.
