Filed my taxes last year (2023) & everything went smooth, so I made an appt with the same tax rep for the following year. 2024 I show up to my appt & was already annoyed they put me with someone different rather then who I originally had my appt set up with. I agreed & went with Amelia. It almost went smooth she kept running into issues with the computer which was a little sketch but we finally got them done. I requested my refund to be direct deposited to my bank Account I even confirmed my account information many times. I got my refund back & for some reason the funds went on to an Emerald Card instead of my account like I requested. I called H&R block & spoke with the receptionist. She asked if I wanted to speak with the same person who did my taxes & I said yeah. She said she was currently with someone so she was going to print my info & have it ready for her when she was done with her client. Well it's been a week & no one has called me back, hopefully my paperwork isn't just sitting on someone's desk. It is super frustrating I spend $400+ to get my simple taxes done to just get ignored when an issue occurs & on top of that I am paying fees to get money off this emerald card when it should have been in my checking account in the first place.

Way over priced went there for the cash advance they were still offering well I paid 400$ to do there process to get the advance and then they denied me at the very end so I could have went to TurboTax and paid 200$ I only went there to get the cash advance and they screwed me

The Harrisville staff is great and very knowledgeable. The new office is warm and inviting and Amelia is always great to work with. I've done my taxes with the staff for years and I look forward to seeing their friendly faces and smiles.
