I broke down in Honeyville Utah. The tow truck driver took my car to Lugo's automotive and Fabrication in Pleasant View Utah. It is not called Pleasant View just for Giggles it is a beautiful place. I got to sit outside and breathe fresh air see beautiful mountain sites watch gorgeous sunsets and relax while Darrell and Isaac worked on my car. Darrell and Isaac both went out of their way to make sure that I was taken care of. They got a better engine for my car, they did their best to get me back on the road it took a while but it worked. I was really happy that my car was fixed and then my battery went out. But alas they were able to get a brand new battery. The best part is they saved me about $5,000! If I lived in Northern Utah I would come to Lugo's automotive and Fabrication anytime I needed a mechanic. I highly recommend Lugo's automotive and Fabrication! They also restore vintage cars. Check out their Facebook page Lugo's Automotive and Fabrication. One more thing, not related... a little west across the street from the Comfort inn is a Mexican restaurant that makes the BEST GUACAMOLE this side of the West Coast. Checkem out!

They did an good job replacing the engine on my car, while there were components that broke on my car such as a mechanical speedometer sensor and intercooler pipe in the process of installation, they proceeded to tell me that the old engine was there’s which I consented to verbally. While we also verbally agreed that I could get a few parts off of the old engine at the same time, they then later decided I couldn’t get some of the parts because of labor which wasn’t discussed. They did do some things I did not consent to in order for me to save money in the end which I’m not upset about but would’ve wanted it communicated to me prior to doing so. I was also initially quoted about $2k less than the final bill which seemed like a grey area due to my car not being in there system but a good estimate on repairs shouldn’t be that far off of final price in my opinion and the parts that’s were broken on installation were not repaired in the end. If you plan on doing business with them just make sure you form a strong communication base as possible and get it written down on paper so you don’t get a result like I did. They’ll get the job done at least but keep an eye on them.

Darrell is amazing. Great work and charged me half of what other shops wanted for the work. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lugos to anyone needing mechanic work!

Awesome service and honesty. The work cost less than originally quoted and something two other repair locations struggled to fix. Highly recommended.

SERENDIPITY: "the occurrence of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way." I decided to skip work one Monday and go to the hot springs up North. Before I left I heard "are you sure you're doing the right thing?" I said "OF COURSE I AM!!" I set my GPS to head North. As my car was heading North, the GPS said "turn left here! Your destination is on the left." I missed the turn, and flipped a U turn and my car died. I started it, finished the turn and went into this beautiful neighborhood. As I drove in my car died again, so I let the momentum take me to the end of a yard to pull over. The neighborhood was quiet, breezy, grassy, flowery meadows, big sprawling yards with horse corrals, and lots of dogs throughout the neighborhood. It was a sweet place to break down. I rolled down the windows, put my shades in the windshield, and decided to let the car cool a bit. Nobody was home in this neighborhood. After a while my insurance sent a tow truck driver out named Aaron of AJ Towing in Farr West. As he was getting my car set up, his son Chase asked me where I was going. At this time I was going to Pep Boys but it was closing soon and we were miles away. Aaron said "I'll take you to my buddy's." I was not alarmed when I agreed to the suggestion, because something gave me reassurance that this would be okay. (my guardian angel?) I believe in guardian angels and mine was all over IN my face that day. We took my car to Lugo's Automotive & Fabrication at 1496 W. 2700 N. #A, in Farr West, Utah and left it there. I went to the Comfort Inn around the corner to wait. At first it was a water pump. Okay, let's git 'er done! But as Darrell proceeded he found my engine was CRACKED!! So, they set out to get an engine. That took a few days. My timeline to come back to Farr West was only on a Friday. Darrell was extremely patient with me. He returned my texts as soon as he was able, he answered my questions and was really nice, patient and understanding of my situation. He probably thought: crazy broad! Although he never gave me the impression he felt that way. But oh well, that day I was a crazy broad, taking off without checking my car first! When I was finally able to come and pick up my car, the battery was charged, but when I turned on the wipers, they went wacko. Then when I was on the road the battery died like aint no other!! OH MY HECK!! My car was flat out dead, no power to put the gear into neutral, unable to steer; nothing. Not even able to move it off the road! Talk about want to cry! I was blocking one lane on a 2-way street. This lady came out of her house, knew what to do, directed traffic, called the police to get me some help. They called a tow truck who towed back to Lugo's when the owner, Isaac Lugo had pulled up. He was so gracious and polite, he reassured me everything would be back in order. He ran some tests on the battery and found some codes that were questionable. I had transportation back in Salt Lake, this day was Saturday, the shop is closed Saturday. Isaac was so nice to get in and get busy on my car. Being Saturday, I felt like my presence could be stressing as he was working on his day off. So I offered to leave it there and pick it up the following Friday. He was so nice, he drove me back to the Ogden station to catch the train back to Salt Lake. I went back picked up my car without a hitch!! This whole scenario happened because I wanted to take a day off when I shouldn't have. This inconvenience wasn't as "inconvenient" as it should have been. It was another learning lesson. No matter how right I think I am, I need to listen to the little voices that speak TRUTH into our ears. The moral? 1 - Don't make plans to lie to get your way. 2- Don't skip school or work. 3- Thank Heaven for the little voice. LAST BUT MOST IMPORTANT POINT: You can have your vintage car re-decked out by this company. I am so down for something fun and sexy and I plan to take it to Lugo's Automotive and Fabricatio
