I reached out to my provider via MyChart for symptoms that I was experiencing. I had a quick response from a nurse who ordered a urine sample that I completed that same evening. My lab results were posted that next morning with a positive result showing I had a urinary tract infection. I waited a few hours for my provider to review the results, and decided to send a message to see if I could get the antibiotic I would need to treat the UTI. I did not receive any response, so I called the office. It took my provider's office almost 72 hours to prescribe an antibiotic after receiving the positive lab results. I took my med as prescribed, and then the day after finishing my prescription, all of my symptoms were back but worse. I decided to go into the urgent care at the Farmington urgent care center. The provider I saw here was very concerned as to why it took my provider on MyChart so long to order an antibiotic for me, indicating that this is the reason why I still had symptoms about 10 days later. He filled a prescription for me right away. I later received a bill in total for almost $700 after my insurance from this. I called and made a customer service complaint. I just received a letter in the mail stating that this is standard practice for the U of U. This hospital should set higher standards for patient care.

I have been waiting for 2 1/2 weeks to get an appointment scheduled to see a neurologist. I did a referral and then after the referral they had me do a phone screening process over the phone..ummm okay. I was told someone would call me back to schedule an appointment after they determined which provider was best for me. Called today to see if I could schedule an appointment today and my file review still hasn't been completed in the review process so they dont know if I Qualify to be seen there. I told them I have been diagnosed with epilepsy and migraines how can I not qualify, you specialize in epilepsy and migraines The receptionist told me the doctors have to approve my diagnosis!!! I'm coming to this place that specializes in my diagnosis that has been diagnosed by other medical professionals, a diagnosis i have had for at least 25 years !not to mention my insurance is through the UofU so it is my in network provider and they want to tell me my diagnosis isn't real ?!im beyond words right now. It is hard to get an appointment right away. There is usually a wait once you get there. The staff is friendly, and I feel like they really listen to me and answer all my questions.

Let's face it, nobody actually likes having to go to these places. So, for a place of this nature, it's one of the better ones. Friendly staff and clean atmosphere.
