AirPod Problems Made Worse After VisitWent to get my AirPod Pros Fixed under Apples “AirPods Pro Service Program for Sound Issues.” They checked them and told me that my AirPods did indeed have sound issues but that since they were manufactured at the beginning of the month of October 2020 and not before said month that it wasn’t covered. They of course gave me the options of spending hundreds of dollars to fix them or upgrade to the second generation of AirPod Pros.I understand that the employees can’t really do anymore for me as they just have to follow company policy. And the individual that assisted me was professional, curious, and helpful. But it’s frustrating that companies such as Apple won’t still backup their products. I realize it was a week out of their official “warranty window” but the issue was identical to the one described in their service program so clearly the problem wasn’t fixed properly. To add to this my left AirPod has been significantly worse since getting it checked out. Before it only made an occasional static sound when pressure was applied to it. Now any movement of the device or myself (Even just turning my head.) will cause it to make an unwanted clicking noise. It’s also louder than before. I’m sure the employee didn’t purposefully make this happen, but it was a result of whatever testing they did. Just disappointed that it wasn’t fixed and even more disappointed that it was made worse. Considering the price tag on Apple products you’d think they’d be more premium and offer better service.

I purchased Air Pod Pros 1st gen a few years ago. 2 years later, they started to fail. I took them in and the Genius Bar told me they’re failing. However what they didn’t tell me was that this was due to a manufacturer defect that’s a “known issue” (hence gen 2). Instead, the Genius Bar told me that rather than upgrading to the 2nd gen they could replace mine with another 1st gen but for less than half the price of new 2nd gen. So it was $100 out the door and came with a 90 day warranty. So I did that. Then, roughly 4-6 months later (today), I went it again because my replacement 1st gen Air Pod Pros were crackling and having static Bluetooth issues again. The Genius Bar confirmed from the audio test again that they’re failing. However, after I shared my story, they said they always recommend 1st gen owners to upgrade to 2nd gen because the known issue is fixed and you get a 1 year warranty instead of just 90 days. This was not recommended the first time I had this problem. So now I am out $100 because that’s what the Genius Bar recommended and I have to go purchase new headphones again. Lesson learned to not trust what the Genius Bar team recommends. They’re not very Genius it seems or aligned on their recommendations.

Catherine was awesome. Helped me out quickly and kept everything concise and simple. Helped me save some money with a veteran discount and expedited the pickup process so I wasn’t waiting around.

Very popular apple store. Always packed. You really need appointment scheduled already before driving there to limit wait time in just talking to tech. For buying things, you may need to wait until a sales clerk is available. Even when going for a repair of some type, going to wait 1hr for work to be done, so just plan a shopping strip while waiting or perhaps dinner. Lots of eating places around there. Also you MUST check in even after a repair is done so they know you are actually inside the store.

Setup a Genius Bar appointment for a phone that would not turn on. The gal that helped us was nice enough, but did not seem to know that much and told us or phone was toast without even doing anything. She brought over a second guy after we pushed back a bit and he tried a bit more and then said it was broken and we would have to just buy a new one. I went to the Apple Store at fashion place and they were a bit more caring and tried more but said that it was broken too. We went to Bad Apple in South Jordan, and they were able to get the phone powered up and transfer all the data with no issue. I’m sure it’s not the employee’s fault , but corporate Apple not giving them the tools/training to resolve issues. They make more off replacements than they would on repairs so why try I guess? Only go here if you need to buy something, repairs and support are not going to happen.

Terrible decision I made coming over here for a repair, not that it took them few day to repair it also took them longer to give it back when they send me a message that it ready for pick up.. too many ppl working here doing exactly nothing but standing like a vulture waiting on a dead animal they can smell.. tech here are nosy when there not busy or being lazy doing nothing, they will make you wait bcuz it’s more important for them to see what other tech already doing with another customer rather get with the business of helping those other customers

Terrible customer service. Apple warranty is not honored, without lots of back and forth shipping. The employees are nice, but unfortunately not empowered to make decisions. This creates a bureaucratic mess for the customer. Avoid at all costs.

It's such a lovely store! And great staff! Markus helped us out, and he was fantastic! We had a couple of uniquely specific questions and were buying multiple items, but Markus helped swimmingly. I definitely recommend coming here!

One of the managers was totally amazing and helped me a great deal.(Unfortunately, I misplaced the details including his name. I want to reach him for follow up which was interrupted because I went out of town.)While all of the staff certainly seem friendly, I’m hoping to obtain the same employee who was so very helpful and understanding of my situation.
