“While driving around on the rattly, bumpy roads outside Escalante, we noticed a slow leak in one of the tires. We filled the tire, but it partially deflated overnight. Fortunately, we were staying right down the street from Cottam's Auto Service, and they were able to get us in and fix the leak first thing this morning, for what I felt was a very fair price. So far, so good; we're in Vegas, 350 miles and half way home, and the fix is holding. During the shaking we experienced on those roads, one of our headlight bulbs went out. Unfortunately, Cottam's didn't have the bulb. While friendly enough during my visit, it's very clear (in your face in more ways than one) what the proprietor's political leanings are.”
