Such a cool facility! We did a 4 day training stay with them. They boarded our pup for 4 days and taught him a lot of good stuff. They communicated with us and told us how he was doing. We had a class as a family to learn how to continue at home and we will do a follow up next week. We love how kind they are.The boarding is equally as good. They are wonderful.

I was not impressed when I got the tour: not much room for big dogs to play. There was an old couch that stunk of pee in the consult room & some dogs were muzzled in the play area. I was not impressed! So I went to Dogtown Pet Spa instead . It's like the Ritz for dogs! And cheaper in the long run....MUCH better and no dogs muzzled, it's super clean with free play all day indoor and outdoor large area.

Response to owner’s reply: I cannot respond to the reply to my review. Heather, please read the email chain I had with your employee. Thankfully this discussion was in writing. I completely understand that having down/rest time is important but she clearly stated that the dogs were kenneled for 4 hours, don’t know how that can be a ‘miscommunication’. Why would someone make up that dogs are kenneled for 4 hours during the day? If anything, you’d have a better chance of believing that staff would suggest your dog spent a shorter amount of time in the kennel. ‘New hires’ that are still learning and office staff that ‘does not directly work with the dogs’ is not an excuse. I asked for the average schedule of a dog’s daycare day and that information was provided. I agree, another facility will fit my expectations far better. Your business has my personal contact info if there is any other “clarifications” to be made.Initial Review: I enrolled my dog in daycare at K9 Lifeline after reading/hearing good things about this facility. I am not one to typically leave negative reviews. Today was my dog’s second day at daycare, I am out of town for Thanksgiving & my family is watching him. I had him scheduled for today and tomorrow to attend daycare from 8am-4pm as my family has work/school before the holiday. My brother picked up my dog today and noticed that he had a bark collar on, they took it off and he left with my dog. He let me know about this, so I called K9 to ask about my dog’s day and this bark collar (I was already planning on calling as he is my dog and he is still new to K9). The lady I spoke to on the phone was nice, she answered my questions. This woman mentioned that my dog was kenneled with a bark collar on for the afternoon. This was hard to hear knowing my dog does not like bark collars or being in a kennel. I was aware that K9 uses bark collars as well as other things like this. I wasn’t as angry about the bark collar as much as I was frustrated that I am paying $45 a day to have my dog in a kennel with a bark collar on for half of the time he is there. I also mentioned that I would prefer for him not have a bark collar put on him in the future. I mean I could have just told my family to leave him at home, in his crate for free but I wanted my dog to be able to be out and play. I sent an email stating this. The response I got was appalling. K9 employee Lyndzie responded to my email. She came across as defensive, rude and uncaring. She said that my dog was “NOT kenneled all day”. I never said that, I said for “half of the day”, she then proceeded to state that dogs who attend K9 are kenneled for about 4 hours a day, that IS HALF THE TIME THEY ARE THERE. She proved my point. She then made a comment about how my brother didn’t ask about my dogs day or for notes. Why is that an issue? I was planning on calling because he is my dog, he doesn’t need the notes. I do. Odd that, that was even mentioned.Everyone’s experiences are different of course, daycares are different but I just did not expect to pay $45 for my dog to be kenneled for half of his daycare day, with a bark collar on. It was upsetting to hear this. I won’t be returning unfortunately, I wrote to them expecting a nice explanation of why this happened and have a cordial conversation but Lyndzie’s response was so unprofessional and rude. I had a great first impression of K9 and was excited to have a good environment for my dog to go to when I couldn’t care for him. Guess that wasn’t true.

This place is amazing! I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They really care about your pets. Our dog was in boarding for 10 days. I don’t think he wanted to come home. Thanks Heather and staff! You gave me one less thing to worry about during our trip.

I have been taking my Roxy to K9 for over 5 years now and there is simply no other place I would trust with her care. Roxy feels nothing but love when she goes there and is always so excited to walk through the door and see all her friends. This is her second home and she looks forward to seeing the staff and greeting them all in her own way. This is the most caring, loving, and thoughtful staff in the industry. They are amazing at keeping me updated and I honestly feel like they love Roxy and all the wonderful dogs that are fortunate enough to get to interact with everyone at K9. Thank you so much to all the wonderful pet heroes that care for our family pets, you are very much appreciated.

I have known Heather for quite a few years now. She's mentored me, and taken me under her wing as I journey through my own process of being a small woman-based business owner. I've attended Heather's facility on numerous occasions, for workshops, classes, to pick up her Side Kick Leashes, and the amount of knowledge I've gained from her, seeing her staff work with their dogs, and working with Heather herself. (Also just to stop by and say Hi! She's got such a great team.) On all of the occasions I've been there, the space is consistently meticulously cleaned, the dogs looks calm, their space is extremely safe for all types of dogs. Her staff is so extremely knowledgeable. Anytime I go it's an admirable experience, that motivates me and provides insight into my aspirations. I just want to emphasize how much I love this place, they keep everyone safe, calm, and happy.

They have been so kind and caring towards my 2 dogs (Cheese & Pickles) and towards my needs. They truly take the time to listen to what is the root issue and work with you to make sure it is approached in the best way. I had already taken one of my dogs to another trainer for a 3 week train, and K9 lifeline did in one extended stay way more than the other trainer did in 3 weeks! I highly recommend their services to anyone with a dog or dog with aggression issues. Thank you guys for everything you’ve done for us!!

They don’t put your dog in situations where they will show the unwanted behavior, so after our training ended I still had no clue about what to do when my dog did show unwanted behaviors. It was honestly a waste of money. And the trainers there are just a bunch of young teens. For the amount of money, I paid, I thought I would be having a highly trained professional teaching me how to train my dog.

I am very disappointed in this place. We have a dog that has a big problem with resource guarding and another training place said that K9 Lifeline would be able to help, so we decided to reach out. We explained to them that the only thing we needed help with as resource guarding and they said that they can for sure help us out. They recommended doing their overnight stay for 3 nights that cost almost $1000 and said we can get him on the right track.Long story short, we came to pick him up, did their "training" that they have on Youtube, then did a follow up meeting with them. They told us to feed our dog in his crate, which we did. After 2 times of doing that our dog would bark and growl at us in his crate while we feed him. They ensured us that this would help his resource guarding, which it didn't. We had to sit there for 30mins until he was calm to let him out. We did this for some time and one time our dog jumped out of his crate and bit us. I called K9 Lifeline and they said, "oh I am sorry, don't feed him in his crate."They sent trainers over and kept saying the same thing to us about his resource guarding, "He is in his scared phase", "he is stressed", "it's okay, he will grow out of it." Before even signing up, we told them we have been dealing with this for a year. The next week we were feeding our dog and bit me again. I called and told them that their training made our dog went backward with the training. Our dog has never done that and ever since we took their training and advice he is worse now. I called and explained and the only thing they would do is refund me 2% of the money and said sorry. Their method of training is a "one size fits all" method and it did not help. I was very unhappy with all that money we spend and just to go backwards.
